Spearheaded the interface coordination of all technical development and critical issues with
QP stakeholders and work closely with the QP management (executive) team, staff and
heads of Projects/Parties involved in electrical power crossing corridor, road crossing
corridor, utility crossingcorridor, product crossing corridor and cooling water crossing corridor
with relevant end users during detail engineering and closely monitor Project crossing &
Interface register.
Served as Lead Project Interface Coordinator for QP CCWP Phase II EPIC. This 3000mm
diameter cooling water pipelines are passing through the corridors of existing Cooling water

► As Senior Maintenance Engineer Static & Rotating Equipment, I performed technical
evaluation and assessment of piping and valves; process pumps; firewater pumps, seawater
lift pumps. Heat exchangers, fin-fan coolers, air compressors, TEG dehydration and
regeneration package, drums, reactors, vaporizers, product silo’s, filters and columns,
pedestal crane, HVAC system, chemical injection packages in Ethylene, Glycol, Polyethylene
Offsite and Polypropylene waste treatment plant expansion in accordance with ASME section
VIII Div1, ASME section IX, API 510 & NBIC along with company standards as Exxon-Mobil &
SABIC and OSHA standards. All calculation (wall thickness adequacy as per ASME Section
VIII Div-1, Repair procedure shall be as per API-510/NBIC) ensuring the pressure vessels are
safe to operate up to the next Turnaround.
► Lead team of multi discipline engineers to recommend change of materials through
HAZOP/HAZID workshops, lining of pressure vessels internals; considering long term and
short-term application, provide cost calculation and material sourcing for the implementation of
Management of Change (MOC) in the plant.
► Investigates and develops predictive maintenance recommendations to correct urgent,
minor or short term on breakdowns and leaks in the piping system, tanks, pressure vessel,
heat exchangers and other fixed mechanical equipment. Conduct sites visits at petrochemical
plant to inspect equipment, analyses problems and develops recommendations, undertakes
special studies, designs minor plant modifications, reviews AFE packages, obtains and
evaluates data from various sources, and maintains records of work carried out. Details of

► Worked as Principal Piping Engineer for Front End Engineering Design (FEED) Project for
Petroquimica Bahia Argentina / Dow Chemical joint venture from 15th February – 6th August,
1999 (Project based) which Flour Corporation Mechanical/Piping Department undertakes, the task was
to developed value engineering package for Master Gas Expansion Project – The project
consisted of designing five (5) sales gas pipelines, 1 crude oil pipeline up to 56 inches
diameter; 300 KM long pipelines; 9 filtering stations and 14 control stations (FEED).
I do isometric drawings, and self-checking of Isometric, back drafting and back-checking. I did
Piping and Equipment modeling and some Isometric extractions using PDS Intergraph.
► Heavily involved in detail engineering packages to be performed by Flour Corporation
Manila, which I’m very much involved with, are the following;

► Assigned as Project Engineer for the following projects:
Project: Upgrade, Wastewater Treatment Facilities at Ras Tanura and Ju’aymah Terminals
Project, Saudi Aramco
► Project Team member for the upgrade of oily wastewater treatment facilities at Ras Tanura
Plants and Terminals to comply with the environmental requirement by installing new API
Separators, Stop Tanks, API Ponds, API Pumps, etc. The project also requires to upgrade the
Tank Gauging, PLC and SCADA including associated power supply requirement.
► As Project Engineer, responsibilities included developing and maintaining a direct interface
and liaison with Clients. Control of budget and schedule and ensure that work performed
meets contract requirements. Review and approve project procedures and procedures relative
to preparation, issue and control of engineering and design products. Develop an engineering
organization that is responsive to the project goals and commitments, establishing

schedule. Review and approve scope changes for impact to plan or in process engineering /

Project: Pipeline Laterals and Crossover Daylighting Project, Saudi Aramco.
► Project objective is to upgrade seventeen existing scraper trap facilities and associated
pipelines, jump-over lines, burn pits and pressure control stations by providing new design to
meet Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards. The project encompasses hot tap and stopple
activities on the existing pipelines to eliminate shutdown of the system. The total engineering
and design man-hours from project proposal to the detailed design stage is 67,000 MH.
► As Project Engineer, responsibilities include project planning, execution and daily
management of engineering staff. Closely coordinate with Project Consultant/EPC Contractor
and Project Proponent to resolve design issues that may affect construction and
commissioning activities.
► Prepare pipeline shutdown and pre-commissioning procedures. Perform spot-checking of
scraper trap piping design, pipeline alignment sheets, calculations and material specifications
Develop technical requisition for scraper traps, mainline valves and pipeline fittings such as
barred tees, hot tap and stopple fitting, weld plus end couplings and fabricated bends.
Project: 16” Diameter Propane Pipeline from Ras Tanura Refinery to Jua’ymah Gas Plant.
The project objective is to prepare a project proposal for the installation of new 16” diameter
by 8 KM long propane pipeline which includes, scraper traps, shipping pumps, metering skids,
and pipeline leak detection system.
► As Project Engineer, my main responsibilities are to manage the engineering staff that
provides design of the pipeline facilities in accordance with Saudi Aramco Engineering
Standards. Prepare project cost estimate and Lump Sum Turn Key bid package.
Project: Neat Condensate Utilization Pipeline As-Built Project.

► As Project Engineer, responsible for planning and execution of the following projects:
The project scope is to provide technical support during the construction of 120 KM long
20”dia. pipeline. Review all vendor-supplied materials, prepare Project Record Books and As-
built drawings. Total project man-hours are 4,000.
► Other projects includes, Pipe Stress Analysis Calculation for BAPCO Refineries
miscellaneous projects such as; Upgrade #6 VDU Overhead Vacuum Line, Slurry Pump
Piping Modification, Replacement of 24” O/H Line from 22C1 to 22E5 with Inconel lined pipes
and Relocation of Suction Pipe Supports for Pumps P3535/3536.
► Assigned as piping engineer for the design of Fuel Gas System for Riyadh Second
Industrial City project. The project is to provide engineering and design for the 16” diameter by
100 meters long underground fuel gas supply pipeline from existing Saudi Aramco pipeline
corridor to the new metering skid. From the metering skid outlet, the distribution piping system
covers about 22 kilometres of underground fuel gas pipeline, ranging from 12” diameter to 2”
diameter, which terminated to 24 metering skids of different consumers located at Riyadh
Second Industrial City.
► Responsible for engineering calculations and over-all piping design. Prepare purchase
requisitions for piping materials. Supervision of piping staff.
► Assigned to Southern Area Project Department Debottlenecking Project Division, working
with Project Management Team (SAPMT) for the construction of Shedgum Gas Plant
Upgrade Firewater and Utility Water Piping System. As a member of SAPMT, I’m responsible
for the following activities.
► Review Contractor's constructability concerns and provide sketches and instructions to
solve problems encountered by the Contractor during piping installation activities.
► Review the design of firewater piping layout on pumps and deluge system for
constructability, incorporate other design requirements, which were left out during details
design and issue documents to the Contractor for implementation.
► Technical review of Contractor's supplied materials and equipment's.
► Prepare firewater pumps switchover procedure and assist Contractor for the tie-ins
activities.
► Prepare Company estimate for the change orders, review the Contractor's estimate,
participate in change order negotiation meeting and prepare the meeting minutes.
► Monitor Contractor's execution of work and prepare construction deficiency reports as
required
► Responsible for the engineering and design of process and utility piping system for
petrochemical plants and oil refineries, mostly for Saudi Aramco.

Heat exchangers, fin-fan coolers, air compressors, TEG dehydration and regeneration package, drums, reactors, vaporizers, product silo’s, filters and columns, pedestal crane, HVAC system, chemical injection packages in Ethylene, Glycol, Polyethylene Offsite and Polypropylene waste treatment plant expansion in accordance with ASME section VIII Div1, ASME section IX, API 510 & NBIC along with company standards as Exxon-Mobil & SABIC and OSHA standards. All calculation (wall thickness adequacy as per ASME Section VIII Div-1, Repair procedure shall be as per API-510/NBIC) ensuring the pressure vessels are safe to operate up to the next Turnaround. ► Lead team of multi discipline engineers to recommend change of materials through HAZOP/HAZID workshops, lining of pressure vessels internals; considering long term and short-term application, provide cost calculation and material sourcing for the implementation of Management of Change (MOC) in the plant. ► Investigates and develops predictive maintenance recommendations to correct urgent, minor or short term on breakdowns and leaks in the piping system, tanks, pressure vessel, heat exchangers and other fixed mechanical equipment. Conduct sites visits at petrochemical plant to inspect equipment, analyses problems and develops recommendations, undertakes special studies, designs minor plant modifications, reviews AFE packages, obtains and evaluates data from various sources, and maintains records of work carried out. I do isometric drawings, and self-checking of Isometric, back drafting and back-checking. Develop an engineering organization that is responsive to the project goals and commitments, establishing engineering and design personnel responsibilities. ► Responsible for the project planning, commissioning and start-up of 60 MW diesel generator IPP power plants for Malaysia’s Tenaga National Berhad Expansion. ►Nair Ven Oscar Faber Consulting Engineers Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 1st January 1997– 23rd March 1998 (Project Based) As Senior Mechanical / HVAC Engineer – responsible for the over-all coordination of design review, quality control and production of P& ID’s, isometric from RFC to AFC and as-built of MEP and HVAC system design of building services for Malaysian Airlines System (MAS) at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) in Sepang Malaysia. ►Saudi Arabian Oil Company (SAUDI ARAMCO), Dhahran, Saudi Arabia from 25th November 1989 – 31st July 1996 ► As Assistant Engineer I (Mechanical) of Dhahran Utilities Department – I was task to review engineering documents (engineering deliverable register (EDR) design basis, philosophies, PFD’s, P &ID’s, Datasheets, Cause & Effect Charts, study reports, Project Document Index - Project Management, Risk Management Register for FEED and EPIC Project, Interface Register, Crossing Register, Critical Path Schedule, Contract Execution Program, 60 Days Look ahead Schedule) for the following projects for Dhahran Crude Oil Expansion for BI-1900;
  • 7. 7 | P a g e Harmaliyah GOSP 1 and 2 Expansion; Mubbarraz Water Treatment Plant; Khursaniyah GOSP 1 and 2 Expansion and Dhahran Tank Farm Upgrade. ► Assigned as Project Engineer for the following projects: Project: Upgrade, Wastewater Treatment Facilities at Ras Tanura and Ju’aymah Terminals Project, Saudi Aramco ► Project Team member for the upgrade of oily wastewater treatment facilities at Ras Tanura Plants and Terminals to comply with the environmental requirement by installing new API Separators, Stop Tanks, API Ponds, API Pumps, etc. The project also requires to upgrade the Tank Gauging, PLC and SCADA including associated power supply requirement. ► As Project Engineer, responsibilities included developing and maintaining a direct interface and liaison with Clients. Control of budget and schedule and ensure that work performed meets contract requirements. Review and approve project procedures and procedures relative to preparation, issue and control of engineering and design products. Review and approve scope changes for impact to plan or in process engineering / design activities. Project: Pipeline Laterals and Crossover Daylighting Project, Saudi Aramco. ► Project objective is to upgrade seventeen existing scraper trap facilities and associated pipelines, jump-over lines, burn pits and pressure control stations by providing new design to meet Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards. The project encompasses hot tap and stopple activities on the existing pipelines to eliminate shutdown of the system. The total engineering and design man-hours from project proposal to the detailed design stage is 67,000 MH. ► As Project Engineer, responsibilities include project planning, execution and daily management of engineering staff. Closely coordinate with Project Consultant/EPC Contractor and Project Proponent to resolve design issues that may affect construction and commissioning activities. ► Prepare pipeline shutdown and pre-commissioning procedures. Perform spot-checking of scraper trap piping design, pipeline alignment sheets, calculations and material specifications Develop technical requisition for scraper traps, mainline valves and pipeline fittings such as barred tees, hot tap and stopple fitting, weld plus end couplings and fabricated bends. Project: 16” Diameter Propane Pipeline from Ras Tanura Refinery to Jua’ymah Gas Plant. The project objective is to prepare a project proposal for the installation of new 16” diameter by 8 KM long propane pipeline which includes, scraper traps, shipping pumps, metering skids, and pipeline leak detection system. ► As Project Engineer, my main responsibilities are to manage the engineering staff that provides design of the pipeline facilities in accordance with Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards. Prepare project cost estimate and Lump Sum Turn Key bid package. Project: Neat Condensate Utilization Pipeline As-Built Project.

Review all vendor-supplied materials, prepare Project Record Books and As- built drawings. Total project man-hours are 4,000. ► Other projects includes, Pipe Stress Analysis Calculation for BAPCO Refineries miscellaneous projects such as; Upgrade #6 VDU Overhead Vacuum Line, Slurry Pump Piping Modification, Replacement of 24” O/H Line from 22C1 to 22E5 with Inconel lined pipes and Relocation of Suction Pipe Supports for Pumps P3535/3536. ► Assigned as piping engineer for the design of Fuel Gas System for Riyadh Second Industrial City project. The project is to provide engineering and design for the 16” diameter by 100 meters long underground fuel gas supply pipeline from existing Saudi Aramco pipeline corridor to the new metering skid. From the metering skid outlet, the distribution piping system covers about 22 kilometres of underground fuel gas pipeline, ranging from 12” diameter to 2” diameter, which terminated to 24 metering skids of different consumers located at Riyadh Second Industrial City. ► Responsible for engineering calculations and over-all piping design. Prepare purchase requisitions for piping materials. Supervision of piping staff. ► Assigned to Southern Area Project Department Debottlenecking Project Division, working with Project Management Team (SAPMT) for the construction of Shedgum Gas Plant Upgrade Firewater and Utility Water Piping System. As a member of SAPMT, I’m responsible for the following activities. ► Review Contractor's constructability concerns and provide sketches and instructions to solve problems encountered by the Contractor during piping installation activities. ► Review the design of firewater piping layout on pumps and deluge system for constructability, incorporate other design requirements, which were left out during details design and issue documents to the Contractor for implementation. ► Technical review of Contractor's supplied materials and equipment's. ► Prepare firewater pumps switchover procedure and assist Contractor for the tie-ins activities. ► Prepare Company estimate for the change orders, review the Contractor's estimate, participate in change order negotiation meeting and prepare the meeting minutes. ► Monitor Contractor's execution of work and prepare construction deficiency reports as required ► Responsible for the engineering and design of process and utility piping system for petrochemical plants and oil refineries, mostly for Saudi Aramco. ► Develop and prepare piping specifications, engineering and construction scope of work, engineering man-hours estimate for project proposals, and materials cost estimates.
