Professional Experience and Achievements
Spaas Kaarsen – (June 2016 – present)
One of the largest European suppliers of candles, the market leader in Belgium with a strong International
portfolio of customers. The major UK customers include Asda, Morrisons and Wilkos. Spaas offer both
branded and own label solutions across all categories associated with candles.
UK Sales Manager
Reporting to the European Commercial Director I have full P&L responsibility for my customers, 2 of which are
the number 1 and 2 customers in Spaas’ portfolio. Full negotiation of trading terms, agreeing all costings and
forecasts are part of my remit. Driving new business opportunities is also a key element of my role.
Major achievements/successes are:
• Developing and delivering new listings within Asda for their Spring/Summer ’17 selection
• Reducing the internal stockholding at Spaas for my accounts by 60% in 3 months
• Maintaining the Morrisons business into 2017 despite Brexit and major Far East competition
TV Toppers Ltd – (Jan 2014 to March 2016)
New set up company within the competitive market of ASOTV. Formed in January 2014, the aim was to deliver
proven/strong ASOTV products to the retail industry backed with heavyweight TV campaigns.
Sales Manager
Reporting to the Managing Director based in Holland my role was to set up the business from scratch and
grow the Retail business in both the UK and Ireland.
Major achievements/successes were:
• Opened up Retail customers in UK and Ireland delivering first TV campaign in July 2014
• Sourced UK media agency/Editing team delivering strong marketing campaigns maximizing profit
• Identifying ways to create new revenue streams at every possible opportunity
John Mills Ltd – (Aug 2004 to Dec 2013)
JML are one of the world leaders in retail promotions, delivering the majority of sales through the
combination of innovative products, in-store video promotions and heavyweight TV advertising. Major
customers include, Tesco, Asda, Morrisons, Sainsburys, Wilkos Boots, and Homebase.

Senior National Account Manager/National Account Manager
Reporting to the CEO I had full P&L control for my account portfolio, including joint business
planning, negotiation of trading terms and forecasting. Driving new business opportunities was also a key
element of my role. My main objective was to drive and maximise both sales and profit, whilst maintaining
JML’s company strategy and business plan. Two direct reports of Account Managers into me.
Major achievements/successes were:
• Opening the Tesco account (including overseas) and growing it 75% YOY in 3 yrs of trading
• Managing JML’s Irish business returning YOY double digit growth
• Consistently delivered the most profitable of all of JML’s major accounts
• Acquired and developed the Morrisons and Sainsbury’s accounts (triple digit growth)
• Developed a strong core range/category solution of JML’s bestsellers in my account portfolio
