This was an opportunity of a lifetime to be in the senior staff of the worldโs most notable automobile legend. With the downturn of
our economy and itโs affect on Ford Motor Company, my career in the industry was abruptly ended. However, I had the
opportunity to direct a staff of Sales and Customer Service professionals in executing the companies product delivery programs,
customer outreach initiatives, marketing strategies, warranty returns, and VIP product delivery programs. Once again, I was faced
with a staff that was in need of management and leadership thorough example. I drew from my business development skills to
facilitate team meetings and individual coaching sessions to realign the departmentโs goals and objectives with the direction of the
business. My focus was to increase the face-to-face customer interaction, enhance internal and external communication, and
provide conflict resolution whereby bolstering the image of the business and brand loyalty. My additional responsibilities included
developing new product offerings, designing a product deliverable quality assurance program, and participating in our nation-wide

Manager, Information Technology and Quality Assurance
When Progressive opened its Colorado Springs operation, it needed an IT manager with both personnel/department management
experience and a QA background. It required someone with not only a technical background, but a strong communicator with
leadership and interpersonal relationship skills. I was hired to manage a staff of quality assurance analysis to qualify client based
and field agent software products. My staff was originally was split between Ohio and Colorado which demanded continuous travel
and teambuilding efforts. I performed the array of duties associated with budget, metrics, interviewing, hiring, training, and career
development for my staff. My personnel selection involvement was extended into participating on the college recruiting committee
and helping define the programs charter. This was followed by attending the career fairs and participating with other departments
in their interviewing process. Additional responsibilities to my department management were to perform project resource
allocation relative to the software build and release process. Exposed to both waterfall and agile development environments, I
integrated my team into the systems development life cycle of product development. This required me to review project work
breakdown structures for resource allocation and assign personnel as appropriate. Ancillary to my duties was to manage the
processes and test procedures surrounding disaster recovery of critical business data and insure continued business operations in
case of a disaster. My team was successful in migrating the disaster recovery responsibilities from Cleveland to the newly-built
data center in Colorado Springs. I performed extensive cross-site communication and coordination with a variety of IT departments
and disciplines which again showed my skills in effectively working across multiple organizational lines.

Manager, Program Management and Quality Assurance - System Integration Test
Program/Project Management:
Originally hired to program manage the building of Compaqโs world-class customer center, I move into several other project
management activities. I was responsible for managing customer facing projects dealing with both hardware and software
development in the Storage Area Network product lines. While collaborating with outside agencies and subcontractors, I built and
led my teams in delivering multiple full life cycle projects including 150,000 sq. ft. of office and lab space and multiple software
release projects. This is where I received my training and experience in Six Sigma and Systems Development Life Cycle
development.
Engineering Test Manager:
After establishing myself as a Program Manager, I was asked to move into department and personnel management within the
Quality Assurance and System Verification and Test area. I managed 40+ staff members and 30,000 sq.ft. of laboratory space to
qualify storage array products and their associated hardware architecture. I again used my project management experience in
developing test processes, budgets, equipment resource planning, risk and dependencies analysis, test automation tools, and
facilities infrastructure planning. Additional responsibilities included leading a Level 2 customer escalation team for conflict
resolution and to deliver on our customer commitments.

as my catalyst for my economic development thesis at the University of Oklahoma. I also bolstered my skills by obtaining a formal
education in facilitation and public speaking. Once I was prepared to roll out my program, I delivered numerous team building
retreats and consulted with 300+ clients towards achieving their organizational restructure and strategic goals. After tabulating the
metrics, I presented โbest practicesโ methodologies at 16 community, 8 State, and 2 National conferences including 2 key-note

I began my Fortune 500 company career at MMC as well as earning my Masters of Science in Management. I methodically moved
through the promotional ranks and found my niche in capital and strategic planning. My abilities to identified and analyzed the
facilities, computer information systems, and equipment requirements place me in charge of a $4 to $7 million dollar annual capital
plan. In addition, I assisted the business in formulating the companyโs 5-year strategic plan for preemptive facilities and business
development expenditures. At the conclusion of my Masters program, I moved into department and personnel management where I
managed a 26 person matrix organization and a 5 person direct report department. My responsibilities included project management
for space planning and resource allocations of 900,000 sq.ft. of office and laboratory facilities. I also supported the facilities
project management functions for new business proposal teams in constructing request for proposals (RFP) and statement of work
(SOW) on multi-million dollar government and private industry contracts.
