Financial
• Responsible for day to day operations of a 26 million dollar a year store, while
working to achieve period, quarterly, yearly targets set by corporate office. Over the

• Prepare and analyze financial reports –P/L analysis, Budget comparisons, period

• Accountable for the leadership and development of an 11 person management team.
Associates include 8 department managers, 2 assistant managers, administrators, cash

• Corporate interviewer for first and second Assistant Managers and Management
Trainees for Southern Alberta
• Customer service program – training staff, execution of service expectations, follow
up on weekly service evaluations to mentor and acknowledge successes and
opportunities in delivering Superior Customer Service.
• Meeting facilitation – Weekly Sales Planning meeting with Management Team
• Corporate Trainer for Management Trainees: Time Management, Financial
Understanding
• Work closely with Union Members to have a strong working relationship.
Inventory Control
• Accountable for inventory control through ordering, tracking, and replenishment for
whole store.
• Executing marketing plan set out by corporate office through communication with
department managers and order writers.
• Plan seasonal merchandising to ensure in stock position

Health/safety, Food safety
• Take proactive action on weekly internal audits and quarterly external audits to
ensure that food Safety meets or exceeds Corporate and Government Standards
• Administer correct handling of product withdrawals and recalls
• Control WCB costs and administer return to work programs
• Ensure the correct handling of food products to prevent illness, product loss
Facility Maintenance
• External service – Responsible for ensuring Contractors abide by the contracts signed
with Corporate Office.
• Lead team for “Lifestyle” renovations and new store openings. Involved in two store
changeovers.
• Project Lead for the $6 Million dollar construction of lifestyle in Red Deer over a 65
day period. Reporting on progress daily and making adjustments with out affecting
the sales and revenue for this store during this time frame.
