SAFEWAY: 2004 – Present Store Manager
Financial
• Responsible for day to day operations of a 26 million dollar a year store, while
working to achieve period, quarterly, yearly targets set by corporate office. Over the
past 10 years have exceeded company goals 8 out of 10 years.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports –P/L analysis, Budget comparisons, period
sales/ profit reports, asset management/ control, labor tracking, weekly sales tracking,

• Accountable for the leadership and development of an 11 person management team.

• Customer service program – training staff, execution of service expectations, follow

ensure that food Safety meets or exceeds Corporate and Government Standards

• Ensure the correct handling of food products to prevent illness, product loss
Facility Maintenance
• External service – Responsible for ensuring Contractors abide by the contracts signed
with Corporate Office.
• Lead team for “Lifestyle” renovations and new store openings. Involved in two store
changeovers.
• Project Lead for the $6 Million dollar construction of lifestyle in Red Deer over a 65
day period. Reporting on progress daily and making adjustments with out affecting
the sales and revenue for this store during this time frame.
