  • #3 One thing that is Constant in It and one thing we are all used to is change – It sort of comes with the territory. But every once in a while we hit a point of great change – great innovation that revolutionizes an industry – It signals the beginning of a new era - we refer to as an inflection point. We are currently at an inflection point in the technology industry
  • #4 If you look at IT today – IT is comprised of 3 main areas – The 3 legged stool – Applications, Compute & Storage & the network – All of these are interdependent. adding application must consider compute storage & Network – Modifying network or storage can impact apps, etc. Never before in IT have we seen so many pressures and factors coming at us from all angles. This is forcing innovation and change at an unprecidented rate. Its like The Perfect Storm – In the movie all these weather elements came together to form a once in a lifetime weather event. Same is true in technology.The key point is If you are trying to implement this amount of change in an infrastructure that is not designed to be flexible, you are setup for frustration and potential failure. You won’t be able to keep up. You need to be able to turn on a dime and respond to the things that the business cares about.
