This document provides a personal timeline of Renee Fujiwara's experiences with educational technology from kindergarten through college. 2. Overview My name is Renee Fujiwara I started school in 1991 at KCAA Mother Rice Preschool in Honolulu, HI. I graduated from high school in 2006 from Kalani High School in Honolulu, HI. I began college in Fall 2006 at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. When I finish my degree, I hope to become a special education teacher for elementary students.

5. Kindergarten technology No computer in classroom Had computer room which included about fifteen computers (We had to share) Showed us VHS videos during nap/resting time

6. High school technology Half of assignments were done using Microsoft Word. Cell phones became popular among upperclassmen Digital Cameras and Camcorders were able to hold more memory Majority of students DID NOT own a laptop Computer classes available (School provided around 30 mac computers) First iPOD generation came out

7. College technology Every student is required to have a computer Communication through email Assignments sent through websites/email such as Laulima, Ning and MyUH. Majority of assignments are required to be typed Video chatting is popular Cell phones have immediate internet connection and touch screen

8. A vivid technology learning experience World wide news made available instantly Able to communicate/see family and friends via video chatting without leaving your home

A technology I want to use in my classroom I want all my students to have an iPAD so they will be able to video record, explore the internet, take pictures, use educational applications, etc. instantly in the classroom. I also want to have an smart interactive boards so that students will be engaged while learning.

10. My vision of the classroom of the future In my future classroom, I will have walls that will transform into various places in the world so my students will be able to feel as if they were there. I will also have 3D computers where everything is touch screen and floating in front of each student.

11. A challenge for teaching A challenge that I see in the future is not having enough funds to provide my students with an enhanced technological experience. Also, not being able to keep up with the new technology that seems to be blooming everyday.
