For Airbus A350-900 Flap Track Fairings being responsible for produced fairings,
meet customer requirements by inspection for all parts during the entire production
process, creation of non-conformity reports and emitting concessions.

Again I was approached by Management and asked to be Team Co-ordinator on the A380 Rib
Foot Adaptation. This included being responsible for all aspects of safety, quality, cost,
delivery and people. The role covers allocation of work, work package achievement monitoring
and tooling allocation. Forward planning to ensure all work is completed to schedule and end
dates are achieved. Liaison with all other shifts to ensure work flow and daily objective targets
are accomplished. Hanger and workplace safety procedures are maintained in line with
German and Aircraft FOD requirements. Cascade of all relevant information to team and to
answer questions and supply feedback when required.

Having completed a 2 year course in Spanish I was asked by Airbus Management to train
Spanish Airbus and Spanish Military in A380 Rib Foot Adaptation. This was received well
and after a month’s training the Spanish were able to work independently and be fully
conversant in this area.

Two weeks internal Airbus Training, achieving a CQ stamp – now certified to approve my own
work in carrying out repairs on the A380 internal rib structure.

• Composites Inspector
Major responsibilities included preparing reports for direct submission to customers – mainly
Boeing and Airbus. These reports helped them make decisions on whether to proceed with
repairs to components they deemed currently unsuitable for use in service.

• Reference to structural repair and components maintenance manuals and associated
illustrated parts catalogues
• Hands-on work disassembling and fitting thrust reversers, spoilers, winglets,

Once all the investigative work was complete, I then liaised with engineers to produce my
report which included a comprehensive bill of materials and quotation for any repairs.
2010 – 2012 - Aircelle (Safran) Burnley
• Process Manager
Based in the composite pre-preg lay-up detail & assembly manufacturing department.
Responsibilities for processing parts for the Airbus A330, A380, Bombardier, Gulfstream and
Rolls Royce
• Scheduling the work flows through the Autoclave curing ovens and through the tool
cleaning cells. This ensures that composite components are delivered to Assembly
manufacturing cell on programme. Also that all mould tooling is cleaned after the cure
cycles and returned to the requirements of the clean room carbon fibre layup schedule
• Operator Management - ensuring all cell staff are available for their appropriate shift
work, ensuring that a 24 hours – 7 day a week programme is maintained
