Leading a team of engineers on the A400M project. Responsible for the design, manufacture,
procurement, calibration / certification of Outer Wing box assembly tooling. Equipping Stages 2, 3
& Transportation (Trolleys and Manipulators, Trailing Edge, Leading Edge, Lifting and Handling,
Flight-test Instrumentation, Pressure test), Production of design concepts, Bill of Materials. Present
business case to multiple external supplier design companies using the Request for
Information /Request for Purchase process. Support selected suppliers through the design process
ensuring procedures are adhered to. Administer Preliminary Design Reviews, Critical Design
Reviews plus subsequent Manufacturing Engineering support for manufacture and first article use.
Repatriation of data ensuring compliance to a specified standard. Manage the control, release
through the project Product Data Management system.
Supporting subcontract designers with Lifting and Handling, Flight-test Instrumentation,
ensuring Health and Safety rules and legislation are adhered to.
