Duna-Ipoly National Park Directorate oversees protected areas in Hungary, including over 25,000 hectares recognized by the Man and the Biosphere program. It works to protect diverse ecosystems ranging from steppes to mountain forests, as well as endangered species. Its main tasks involve habitat management, species protection programs, environmental education, research, and guarding its lands which cover around 13,000 hectares and include the Sas-hill Nature Reserve.
