1. Speak with confidence.
2. Confidence creates the first impression
of the speech
3. Confidence grabs the attention of the
audience.
4. It earns the trust and belief of the
audience in the speakers.
5. It generates a feel of significance of the
speech to the audience
 SPEAK EFFECTIVELY
• Speaking effectively is defined as speaking in such a way that your
message is clearly heard and if possible,acted upon. There are two main
elements to speaking effectively: what you say, and how you say it.
• What you say means your choice of words. The words you might use
when chatting to a friend are likely to be quite different from those
used in a formal presentation or interview.
PURPOSE OF THE SPEECH MANNER OF SPEAKING
 PURPOSE AND MANNER
•To compose a good speech it is
essential to know the purpose
speech.
•A speech usually has one of
four basic purposes:
1. To inform
2. To persuade
3. To encourage
4. To entertain
• Articulate words clearly
• Pace of the voice should be moderate
• Pitch of the voice should be normal
• There should be pausing at important
points
• Speaking with the required loudness

What is public speaking?
• Public speaking is the process of speaking to a group of people in a
structured, deliberate manner to inform, influence, or entertain the
listeners.
• Public speaking have several components that embrace such things as
motivational speaking, leadership/personal development, business,
customer service, large group communication, and mass
communication.
Analyze the audience:
• Every communication must be in form and style which suits the audience.
• Toanalyzing the audience, there are some important factors to be considered:
1. Age factor
2. Socio-culture
3. Educational background
4. Economic background
5. Expectation of audience
 Environment
• For effective speaking the venue or the place of delivering the speech plays a very
important role.
• The speaker must be aware of the following factors:
1. Room size where the speech has to deliver.
2. Room should well ventilated.
3. Determine of seating layout .
• Time is also an important factor for making a speech effective.
• Speaker should have to set a time line forhis speech.
• your time during the speech must be scheduled look something like this:
• introduction 2minutes
• part 1 2.05
• part 2 2:15
• Part 3 2:40
• Closing 3:15
• Ending 3:30
•
• If you spend more time during presentation. Audience feel tired.You
should choose that words or lines to engage their information to inspire
the audience. not bored and confused them.
