•It's all about planning
• Explain the concept " TIPS " - with
reference to an international
perspective ? Or Described the role
and function of planning in the
presentation ?
• For the interest of your audience and for
the successful and effective
presentation planning is important. It
gives idea to the presenter what he has
to prevent throughout presentation.
TIPS
• 1] Getting the Target right
• 2] Selecting the right information
• 3] Organising the process
• 4]. Knowing your communication style
Getting the Target right
• A presentation is always prepared with an
objective. If we get this objective wrong we are not
able to deliver effective presentation.
• Thus , it is essential to get the target right .
• To decide effectively on the right target one should
ask questions like " Is the presentation to explain ?
".
• After going through a series of such questions one
can easily decided the target market for the
presentation . To communicate effectively to the
target market it's necessary to make optimum
utilization of the first few minutes.
• It is thus important to show an understanding of
the audience's circumstances , get them personally
involved and then convey the objective of the
presentation.
Selecting the right information
• In most presentation information needs to be
given to the audience , in this case ,there is a
chance a same set of information is interpreted
differently , thus one has to be very careful with the
information delivered and the amount of
information delivered . To be able to deliver the
carrect ammoun of the information level test is
used , that helps grade the audience and heance
decided the information to be delivered
accordingly.

Analysis
1. The analysis delivered should be just enough.
2. Too much information may lead the audience to
the getting bored.
3. Very little information may seem
unprofessional.
Hierarchy
• Keep in mind the power structure of the audience
and make sure you have a sense of your place
called the hierarchy.
• Never over step your authority.
Group
• Audience value individualism and group identity
very differently.
• In individualistic cultures it is ok to be direct and
personal.
• In collectivist cultures use of the word "we " is
more advisable.
Openness
• Information can be presented either as an open
up or close down discussion.
• Selecting the right information packaging is a key
to presentation success.
Organising the process
• The preparation
• The preparation itself
• The involvement factor
• The organisation factor
• Personal factor
• Language factor
• Non verbal factor
• The follow up
The preparation
• Train yourself to be prepared well in advance.
Have backup of the presentation and check. Keep
your lugistics in place to avoid technical disaster.
Plan meticulously for anything that go wrong.
The preparation itself
• The preparation itself usually revolves around fifth
factors.
• 2 .1 The involvement factor. :- the audience
usually prefer different levels of involvement
make sure you keep in mind the involvement
factor of the audience.
• 2.2 The organizations factor :- whter audience
usually looks for structured or creative approach
to presentation depends on the organisation
factor and it's support digression and structure
• 2.3 Personal factor :- audience usually demand
different approaches to the personal factor. It is
important to keep in mind introduction and
politeness
• 2.4 Language factor :- the level , voice , and text
of language used in the presentation should be at
far with audience.
• 2.5 Non - verbal factor :- it is essential to keep
track of the way one dress , facial expressions and
eye contact.
• 2.3 The follow up
• It is important to track the follow up
strategy as the main task of negotiation a deal or
convincing to implement a plan starts after the
presentation as that is when the real work starts
plan a follow up strategy well in advance.
Knowing your communication
style
• Presentation are all about communication
• It is important to work on your weaknesses when
it comes to communicate and thus overcome this
weaknesses to a Better presenter.
• Various audience have national stereotypes and a
prescribed communication method the presenter
should keep that in mind .
• It is essential to be polite ,no matter what
communication Style one follow.
• Positive politeness , the presenter like the
audience smile and shows friendly gesture and
facial signal.
• Negative politeness , this is the equally but the
method Change the presenter talks less, give the
opposite person more time and space to interact.

  • 2. Unit - 1 •It's all about planning • Explain the concept " TIPS " - with reference to an international perspective ? Or Described the role and function of planning in the presentation ?
  • 3. • For the interest of your audience and for the successful and effective presentation planning is important. It gives idea to the presenter what he has to prevent throughout presentation.
  • 4. TIPS • 1] Getting the Target right • 2] Selecting the right information • 3] Organising the process • 4]. Knowing your communication style
  • 5. Getting the Target right • A presentation is always prepared with an objective. If we get this objective wrong we are not able to deliver effective presentation. • Thus , it is essential to get the target right . • To decide effectively on the right target one should ask questions like " Is the presentation to explain ? ".
  • 6. • After going through a series of such questions one can easily decided the target market for the presentation . To communicate effectively to the target market it's necessary to make optimum utilization of the first few minutes. • It is thus important to show an understanding of the audience's circumstances , get them personally involved and then convey the objective of the presentation.
  • 7. Selecting the right information • In most presentation information needs to be given to the audience , in this case ,there is a chance a same set of information is interpreted differently , thus one has to be very careful with the information delivered and the amount of information delivered . To be able to deliver the carrect ammoun of the information level test is used , that helps grade the audience and heance decided the information to be delivered accordingly.

  • 9. Analysis 1. The analysis delivered should be just enough. 2. Too much information may lead the audience to the getting bored. 3. Very little information may seem unprofessional.
  • 10. Hierarchy • Keep in mind the power structure of the audience and make sure you have a sense of your place called the hierarchy. • Never over step your authority.
  • 11. Group • Audience value individualism and group identity very differently. • In individualistic cultures it is ok to be direct and personal. • In collectivist cultures use of the word "we " is more advisable.
  • 12. Openness • Information can be presented either as an open up or close down discussion. • Selecting the right information packaging is a key to presentation success.
  • 13. Organising the process • The preparation • The preparation itself • The involvement factor • The organisation factor • Personal factor • Language factor • Non verbal factor • The follow up
  • 14. The preparation • Train yourself to be prepared well in advance. Have backup of the presentation and check. Keep your lugistics in place to avoid technical disaster. Plan meticulously for anything that go wrong.

The preparation itself • The preparation itself usually revolves around fifth factors. • 2 .1 The involvement factor. :- the audience usually prefer different levels of involvement make sure you keep in mind the involvement factor of the audience. • 2.2 The organizations factor :- whter audience usually looks for structured or creative approach to presentation depends on the organisation factor and it's support digression and structure
  • 16. • 2.3 Personal factor :- audience usually demand different approaches to the personal factor. It is important to keep in mind introduction and politeness • 2.4 Language factor :- the level , voice , and text of language used in the presentation should be at far with audience. • 2.5 Non - verbal factor :- it is essential to keep track of the way one dress , facial expressions and eye contact.
  • 17. • 2.3 The follow up • It is important to track the follow up strategy as the main task of negotiation a deal or convincing to implement a plan starts after the presentation as that is when the real work starts plan a follow up strategy well in advance.
  • 18. Knowing your communication style • Presentation are all about communication • It is important to work on your weaknesses when it comes to communicate and thus overcome this weaknesses to a Better presenter. • Various audience have national stereotypes and a prescribed communication method the presenter should keep that in mind .
  • 19. • It is essential to be polite ,no matter what communication Style one follow. • Positive politeness , the presenter like the audience smile and shows friendly gesture and facial signal. • Negative politeness , this is the equally but the method Change the presenter talks less, give the opposite person more time and space to interact.
