This document describes the network architecture for distributing virtual machines (VMs) across multiple switches. VMs are connected to access switches, which are connected to distribution switches. The distribution switches are connected to a shared storage area network that all VMs can access to store and access data. Access control lists and VLAN configurations are implemented on the switches to control traffic between VMs and their access to the shared storage. Pools are used to organize groups of VMs and switches into manageable network segments.
