2. What is the Cyberbullying?
• Is when a child is tormented, threatened,
harassed, humiliated by another child using
the internet and a social page. Using
computers, cell phone and tablets.
• Examples of cyberbullying include mean text
messages or e-mails, rumors sent by e-mail or
posted on a social networking sites.
3. Why is cyberbullyng different?
• Can happen 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
• Cyberbullying messages and images can be
posted anonymously and distributed quickly
to a very wide audience.
• Deleting inappropriate or harassing messages,
texts, and pictures.
4. What can the school do?
• Schools can be very effective supporters in
working with the parents to stop and remedy
cyberbullying situations. They can also
educate the students on cyberethics and the
law.
• If schools are creative, they can sometimes
avoid the claim that their actions exceed their
legal autority for off-campus cyberbullying
actions.
5. Steps to take immediately
• Keep evidence of cyberbullying. Record the
dates, times and descriptions. Save and print
screenshots, email and text messages.
6. How to prevent cyberbullying?
• Parents and kids can prevent cyberbullying.
Together, they can explore safe ways to use
technology.
• Be Aware of what your kids are doing online
• Establish rules about technology use.
• Understand School rules.
7. Tyler Clementi
Tyler Clementi is an 18 year old boy. He was a victim of
cyberbullying from his roommate, Ravi and a mate.They used a
webcam of Ravi´s computer and a computer in clementi´s room,
they saw clementi kissing another boy.
The day prior to his suicide, Ravi told to some friends and twitter
followers to watch via his webcam a secord test between Clementi
and his boyfriend kissing.
In september 22 he jumped to his dead from a bridge in 2010.
