She received her Ph.D. in Foreign and Second Language Education from The Ohio State University and has taught at various universities and K-12 schools. Her areas of expertise include language acquisition, bilingual education, and teacher training. She has published several papers and presented at numerous conferences on these topics.

Developed syllabus and overall course structure for elementary,
intermediate and advanced level undergraduate Spanish classes.
Developed and implemented an Immersion Spanish class for in
service teachers during summer 2010 and restructured and taught
Globalization and Education class for education majors with
community-based field experience with local ESL High school.
Currently teaching MSPED 508: Students with Special Needs and
