 Currently teaching two semester-long credit-bearing Academic ESL courses, Grammar III and Listening &
Speaking III in a program offering courses from I, low-beginning, to advanced, V.
 Taught 12 other semester-long courses in previous semesters, namely Grammar I, III, and IV, Composition I,
Reading III and IV, and Listening & Speaking III and IV, nearly half of the course offerings.
 Taught two IELTS-prep mini-courses, both offered at night.
 Have taught around 250 students of a great variety of L1s, ages, and life-experiences.
 Address curriculum objectives through traditional and innovative classroom activities and assignments.
 Create an hour-long online component for each semester-long course.
 Use Moodle as LMS to deliver course content, homework, quizzes, and links to websites.
 Maintain availability to students through office hours, Moodle messaging, and emailing.
 Make use of the ‘Success through Academic Reporting’ system at the 3-week and midterm calendar points to
promote student behaviors correlated with success.
 Track attendance, and record mid-term and end-of-semester course grades.
 Complete annual online training pertaining to Title IX, FERPA, and other educational policies.
 Attend all required meetings. Also attend optional functions such as the Faculty Senate and yearly socials.
 Collaborated with a fellow teacher to create an in-class diagnostic to confirm students’ initial placement in
Composition I.

 Taught 67 semester-long courses Reading & Writing, Listening & Speaking and Grammar from beginning to
advanced, teaching over 600 students from a wide variety of L1s.
 Addressed curriculum objectives through traditional and innovative classroom activities and assignments,
including class projects such as ‘Travel Fair’ and ‘Readers Workshop’ as well as field trips to a greenhouse, a
gold mine, a science museum and a history museum.
 Taught Electives courses, including Writing Effective Responses to IELTS Writing Task One Prompts, Idioms
for Upper Levels, Pronunciation for Lower Levels, PBT Listening, and PBT Reading.
 Used computer-mediated technologies during instruction to enhance student learning and engagement.
 Used the learning management system Moodle to deliver content such as homework, quizzes, and attendance
records.
 Evaluated students grades at midterm and end of semester to provide advice and grades based on course
outcomes.
 Provided Level Coordinators with thoughtful end-of-semester ‘Reflections’, which included self-evaluation as
well as suggestions for future teachings of the course.
 Served as Orientation Leader providing city tours and airport pickups for new students.
 Assisted with conducting program-wide needs analysis for curriculum development, including compiling and
presenting the findings.
 Collaborated with other International Programs units to work with International Festival and World Affairs
Council events.
