Most companies use social media for hiring and over 40% say candidate quality has improved as a result. One in five recruiters research candidates on social media before hiring. The top priority for most recruiters is hiring volume, with the average applicant to hire ratio being 18 to 1 across all sources. Referrals make up nearly half of all hires at top performing companies. Over half of managerial and frontline vacancies are filled internally within companies.
