Culture Is A Sum Of Different Human Activities
According to The Oxford Pocket Dictionary of Current English Online, "culture" is "[t]he customs, arts, social institutions, and achievements of a
particular nation, people, or other social group" ("Culture"). Instead, according to E.B. Taylor, the first professional anthropologist, "culture is that
complex whole which included knowledge, belief, arts, morals, law, custom, and any other capabilities and habits acquired by man as a member of
society"( qtd. in Scupin 42).
Both definitions imply that culture is a sum of different human activities. Both definitions imply that culture is a sum of habitual activities transmitted
from one individual to another through repetition and patterns––custom and habits. In addition, both definitions imply that culture affects human
behavior and social interaction–belief, achievements, morals, law, social institution.
Nonetheless, the two definitions have different recipients of culture. The Oxford Pocket Dictionary of Current English Online describes culture as a
set of different human activities of a "particular nation, people, or other social group" ("Culture").Instead, for E.B. Taylor, culture is "acquired by man
as a member of society" (qtd. In Scupin 42).
While The Oxford Pocket Dictionary of Current English Online defines culture as something related to different social groups, people or nations and
therefore consider the existence of multiple cultures independent and yet connected to one another, Taylor defines culture as something

Human Activity And Climate Change
Climate Change is a change in the weather patterns and a change is called a climate change when it lasts for a decade to millions of years. Climate
change is also known as a change in average weather conditions or the change in the weather for a longer term. I believe that human activities are
primarily responsible for the climate change. We the human beings are doing lots of things that can affect very badly to our earth. We are producing
the greenhouse gases which are creating global warming. Climate change is causing the Arctic ice cap to melt, sea level to rise, acidity level of the
ocean to increase, the temperature of the ocean to increase, melting of the Glaciers, weather system to change, more droughts, change in precipitation,
and Permafrost to melt.
The human activity which causes climate change is the increase in production of the carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide. This gas absorbs the
sunlight which hits the earth and makes the planet warm through the process called the greenhouse effect. Human activity has increased the level of
carbon dioxide in the atmosphere from the burning of fossil fuels and cement production. Human activity like agriculture and fossil fuel production
increase the Methane level in the atmosphere. Human activity like agriculture also increases the level of nitrous oxide. All the greenhouse gases have
increased in the atmosphere which makes the earth warmer. Human activity like burning fossil fuels, cutting down forests for making farms, cities,
and roads. All the human activity which produce greenhouse gases are responsible for climate change. The level of carbon dioxide is increasing more
because of the industries, vehicle and other human activities. The level of carbon dioxide which is increasing comes from human activity and we
know that because of its isotopic ratio. The isotopic ratio also shows that the carbon dioxide is not from the natural process of the volcanic activity,
ocean outgassing, etc.
The human activities which produce most of the greenhouse gases are industries, cutting of trees, electricity production, burning of fossil fuel like coal,
oil. The vehicles, agricultural activities, residential, commercial are also responsible to produce greenhouse

The Effects Of Global Warming On Human Activity
Debates about global warming have received much attention in the last few years. Opponents may say global warming is a natural cause however, the
reality is global warming is occurring due to human activity. Global warming is best defined as a term used to describe a gradual increase in the
average temperature of the Earth's atmosphere and its oceans, a change that is believed to be permanently changing the Earth's climate. Global warming
does not only increase temperature it is also capable of decreasing temperature in Earth's climate. Global warming is occurring due to human activity
because of industrial purposes, lack of education, nuclear power waste and testing, automobile pollution and greenhouse gases. Increase in ... Show

Ever since the industrial revolution earth's atmosphere has begun to heat up. The Industrial Revolution was the transition to new manufacturing
processes in the period from about 1760 to sometime between 1820 and 1840. During that time period burning coal was used to power machines and
factories. Coal is considered a fossil fuel, it is unreplaceable. Also burning coal is harmful for the environment. Although the use of coal has decreased,
it is still in places and its harming the environment. Greenhouse gases harm the environment dramatically. Green house gas is best known as any
gaseous compound in the atmosphere that is capable of absorbing infrared radiation, thereby trapping and holding heat in the atmosphere (A Blanket
Around the Earth, 1). By increasing the heat in the atmosphere, greenhouse gases are responsible for the greenhouse effect, which ultimately leads to
global warming. Most climate scientists agree the main cause of the current global warming trend is human expansion of the "greenhouse effect" (A
Blanket Around the Earth, 1). So its obvious greenhouse gases which are a caused by human activity are a major contribution to global warming.
Long–lived gases that remain semi– permanently in the atmosphere and do not respond physically or chemically to changes in temperature and
described as "forcing" climate change (A Blanket Around the Earth, 1). This quote shows how greenhouse gases cause changes in the

The Effects Of Climate Change On Human Activities
The Fraudulence of Climate Change Humans have been emitting increasingly large amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere since the industrial
revolution. A common misconception created by the Liberal Left is that this pollution is harmful to the atmosphere and is a direct cause of climate
change. However many studies have disputed this claim, conversely concluding that pollution caused by human activities are not correlated to climate
change in any way. In the theory of climate change, there is one undisputable fact, human pollution has risen significantly during the past century. Some
scientists may claim that this pollution fuels climate change. A significant flaw in this theory is that climate change isn't even occurring. This... Show

In fact this exact scenario happened! Up until the Little Ice Age in the 14th and 15th centuries, the global temperature was rising. This took place
before any industrialization, therefore there would be no human made pollution to cause this warming. This in itself exposes the fallacy of climate
change. Any way you look at it, the climate change theory is flawed. If you accept the pre–1979 readings as true, then you would see an isolated case of
global warming which could not have been caused by human pollution, thus proving climate change is a natural phenomenon. If you only take into
account the post–1979 readings, then you will see that climate change is not even occurring. The climate change theory has been plagued by
scandals. The Left is promoting climate change in order to push their own political agenda. Since climate change is potentially devastating to the
earth, which everyone wants to preserve, then liberals can use this issue as a trump card. They are basically saying that in order to avoid extinction,
we need to vote for them above anyone else who doesn't accept climate change as fact. Politicians feed on climate change's 'imminent destruction' in
order to sway moderate voters to the left. They appeal to our primal instincts of self–preservation in order to become elected, and once elected, they can
pass unrelated legislation. In addition to politicians, environmentalists benefit from the theory of climate

The Nature Of Human Activity
Archaeology, the study of the material remains of human activity, depends on certain sources of data and the interpretation thereof. It is not always
easy to distinguish explicit expressions of theory within the archaeological reports that follow excavations. However, it is nearly impossible to find
empiricism, which is an inherently implicit element of theory and is therefore very difficult to express outright. The most general definition is that
empiricism holds that knowledge comes through sense and experience. In archaeology, an additional facet is added to the definition: the ability of items
of the archaeological record, artifacts or data, to speak for themselves through sheer scientific inquiry. There are many sub–descriptions of empiricism.
The two most common are vulgar empiricism, which is a strictly atheoretical perspective, that is to say without theory or even outside of theory, not to
be confused with the other, empirical sufficiency, the necessity that a claim be backed by empirical data. Though hidden under other theories,
empiricism is within all archaeological processes. It is from these shadows of theory that the archaeological community should bring empiricism into
the open and acknowledge it as a necessary part of the archaeological interpretation process.
The word empiricism is derived from the ancient Greek word for experience, empeiria. As a theoretical element, in its modern form, it began with the
writings of Francis Bacon, Pierre Gassendi, and

Human Activity and Energy Sources
Earth's resources, for instance water, productive farming land and energy, outlines the basic foundations of our continued existence on earth. However,
with the continued human activities, for example logging and charcoal burning, these resources are quickly being depleted. Human inhabitation and
increased consumption of the natural resources is resulting in untold destruction. The climate change being experienced globally, the rapidly depleting
freshwater catchments, the dwindling forest cover, the ever reducing fish 'stash' in our seas and oceans and farmland dereliction are some of the effects
resulting from human occupation and activities. Poaching, another human activity, is resulting in the extinction of certain animal species thus... Show

Sustainability is a model that has been developed to ensure that human life is not threatened by continuing depletion of the natural resources. This
model has also been adopted in order to ensure that the ecosystem is protected. Sustainability is being promoted in order to ensure that human beings
and the environment coexist within certain set restrictions so as to ensure that the ecosystem continues to support life. In addition, this model ensures
that humans understand the relationship which manages the balance between their activities on the ecosystem. Through sustainability, human beings
will be able to utilize the available natural resources sparingly with the view that future generations are depending on it too (Maria and Luciana 3).
Some of the renewable sources of energy are solar, hydropower, biomass and wind. The use of these energy sources ensures that the ecosystem remain
self serving and thus able to sustain human life (Diane and Shubhayu 12). The uptake and use of solar energy is yet to be fully utilized because in
America, the percentage of people using this energy is minimal. In the United States, solar energy represents almost a half of one percent of the total
electricity use, a number that is insignificant (Diane and Shubhayu 12). The human population is yet to realize that solar energy can be used
extensively in both heating and lighting. Moreover,

Describe The Activity Of Human Amylase
Amylase is an enzyme that is responsible for splitting up food that contain high quantities of carbohydrates and starch into simple and smaller groups of
sugar. Amylase can be found in plants, humans, bacteria, fungi and other mammals.
Human amylase is an example of an organism that produces alpha amylase and can be found in the pancreatic juice in the pancreas and the saliva in the
mouth. Both the pancreatic juice and the saliva play important roles in the digestive system. The amylase found in the pancreas breaks down starch into
maltose and the amylase found in the saliva breaks down starch into glucose. The activity of human amylase is very sensitive to temperature and pH so
it is very important to maintain the optimum conditions for any

Three Activities in Human Resource Management
Three Activities in Human Resource Management
Introduction
With the process of globalization and internationalization, multinational firms develop rapidly. What is the multinational firm? It should be called
multinational corporation (MNCs) which is more academic. An MNC is a company physically active in more than one country, like McDonald, Nestle,
Ford etc.
General speaking, Human Resource Management plays an essential role for an enterprise, especially for a multinational enterprise. What is Human
Resource Management? Noe et al. (2006: 5) defined HRM that "HRM refers to the policies, practices and systems that influence employee behavior,
attitudes and performance in order to support business goals and objectives" while Dowling ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Therefore, in general, the majority of employees are HCNs while the senior managers are PCNs and TCNs in the earlier operation of a subsidiary.
In the process of local development of subsidiaries, the system of operation become mature and HCNs become more familiar for companies' policies,
methods, technology and management etc. so it is necessary and brilliant to expand the space of promotions for HCNs in the late operation. That is to
say, increasing the proportion of HCNs in the senior managers in the late operation can bring lots of benefits for company. For example, it will cut
down the cost efficiently and motivate the local staff to work harder significantly.
The second HR activity is about compensation and benefits. Firstly, this HR activity for multinational firms involves different currencies and stability
of currencies. With the fluctuation of exchange rates, a foreign currency may appreciate or depreciate, which bring more risk for multinational firms.
Also, with the diversity of nations and cultures, the institution of compensation may vary from parent company to subsidiary. For example, different
countries have different price levels, which lead to different wage levels. Lastly, according to three categories of employees, the compensation and
benefits are different. Compensation is a key factor to increase satisfaction of staff and job performance. The main problem about compensation and

Human Activity And Industrial Revolution
The earth is just combination of uniqueness and also it is comprised of perfect mechanism. Every individual creation or place is in sync but it is
weak and it can easily be destroyed as long as one part is extinct. In nowadays, there are only few lands remained untouched, however, one of them is
Mongolian territory. Therefore, it has been truly becoming comfort and safe environment for wild animals and plants, especially for rare species.
Although last few decades, all these creation of natures are close to extinct because they are threatened by deforestation. This human acts doesn't
follow Taylor's 4 duties which we have to other living beings (Non–Maleficence, Non–Interference, Fidelity, Restitutive Justice). Thus if we won't
seriously pay attention of it, it is so close to bring us death. For many years, people extolled Mongolian beauty of nature, its vast wilderness and
animals. Unfortunately, this beauty is being shattered by factors of human activity and industrial revolution. In other word is which led to
"Deforestation." Industrialization prevents humanity from personally being a part of the process of utilizing resources. It turns people led to lack of
respect being paid to living beings. This geographical condition has been effecting on areas but never been appeared as worse as today. Concurrently,
human activities increase deforestation such as desertification, mining company's process, agricultural term and population density. 1.Taylor duty Non–

The Effects of Human Activity on Coastal Landforms
The Effects of Human Activity on Coastal Landforms
Human activities add another layer of complexity to the natural processes of coastal lands and materials. These activities may have direct or indirect
effects on our changing coastlines. They may effect sources of new sediment to the coast and the movement of sediment within the coastal environment.
Sediment starvation caused by river and coastal management is one effect of human activities on the coast. For some coastal regions, such as the
Pacific coast, a large part of their sediment is supplied by rivers. Dams built for flood control and water catchment along the rivers leading to these
coasts inhibit the transport of large grained ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This leaves the sand dunes more susceptible to erosion causing blowouts and disrupting the succession of vegetation in the area. This has been a
problem at Studland Bay in Dorset on the south coast of England. Persistent human leisure activities on the dunes has led to substantial erosion in some
parts of these dunes which has meant that Management programs have had to been introduced by English Nature.
Sand dunes help absorb the pounding of high waves and reduce overwash flooding in storms. It has become common for sand dunes to be bulldozed to
improve the views to the sea. However this destroys the natural protection of the coast.
Human activities such as water transport also can cause problems for coastal areas. The dredging of navigation channels and the discharging of the
material in deep water to enable larger ships to travel though water channels removes sediment from the coastal system leaving the area susceptible to
erosion and will also interfere with longshore drift which will prevent the coastal beach landforms from being maintained such as the development of
a spit. It is likely that a spit will be eroded and start to regress in conditions such as these. An example is Spurn head Spit. Spurn head is lcated, on the
humber Estuary in North East England. The growth

results (Kearns, 2010).
Job Analysis and Design
Job design and analysis is the cornerstone of the Qantas HRM. Job analysis can be viewed as the hub of all human resource management activities that
are needed for effective organizational functioning (Berman et al, 2009). Under job analysis, the HRM is responsible for planning, recruitment,
selection, placement, and induction of workers (Berman et al, 2009). The procedures that are often supported by job analysis process include personnel
selection, training, job evaluation as well as performance appraisal (Berman et al, 2009). In addition, the process of job analysis supports the Qantas
organizational strategy in dealing with market competition and talent crisis. According to human resource theory, strategic HRM focuses on connecting
all HR functions with organizational goals (Rothwell and Benscoter, 2012).
The Qantas airline HRM in the process of job analysis determines various training needs of workers. Moreover, in job analysis process, the HRM

It is an undoubted fact that humans can impact the quality of water, and there has also been an immense increase in the need for water for survival in
today's society. Water is used for many purposes such as in manufactured goods, for the growth of food, for mere drinking, and for the production and
use of energy (Gleick). The National Research Council of the National Academy of Sciences in the U.S.A. suggests that humans get an average of
one–and–a–half milliliters of water per calorie of food.. Bathing is suggested to need an average of 70 litres of water for every human being a day. 11.5
liters of water is on average used for food preparation a day; from this it becomes clear that freshwater sources are very important to the survival of the
human race (Gleick). Water is so important to the survival of all organisms that as human activity increases in sources of freshwater, it calls to
attention: How does human activity affect the abundance of microorganisms and water quality of the water?
The presence and variety of microorganisms in water accounts for most of the indicators of water quality. The presence of Coliform is a big indicator
of fecal contamination in freshwater sources. Coliform bacteria is an organism that is naturally present in the human digestive tract; these tend to be

The Science Of Human Physical Activity
In Chapter one of our text, Introduction to Kinesiology the Science of Human Physical Activity by Stephan Wallace. We are introduced to three major
types of movement, Sportive movement, symbolic movement, and supportive movement. At the basis of all three movements they are very similar
although they highlight different attributes of an athlete or a person living an everyday lifestyle. Sportive movement is identified as a skill related
physical activity, meaning any competitive activity that has a clear winner or loser. Sportive movement also has the implication that one person can
be superior to another in that sport because, their skill level is significantly higher than other teammates. An example would be a varsity football
athlete and a college football athlete. What can make the college player superior than a varsity player is that his muscle mass has a higher density,
making the hits have a greater force than that of a varsity player. Another possibility that could make the college athlete's performance be superior is
the skill level at which they train at. Symbolic movement refers to physical activity that expresses thoughts and feelings through the body; the main
emphasis being physical expressiveness (Wallace 2013). This type of movement is seen in the art division, such as dance, music, poetry, literature.
With symbolic movement, we are expressing our thoughts; our feelings by using more than just words, we paint a visual picture with our language or

Electrical Activities in the Human Body
Introduction
Biopotential signals are electrical activities of the human body systems which are measured by potential fluctuations between points in living cells,
tissues and organisms .In medicine field, certain biopotential signals are important as they are considering diagnosis and patient monitoring. These
signals represent the activity of particular organs such as the heart, brain, muscles and many more. With the help of specialised electrodes, biopotential
signals transduce low–noise and artefact–free signals to the organ or the body. A basic biopotential amplifier consists of an instrumentation amplifier.
The amplifier should have several characteristics such as high amplification, input impedance and the ability to reject any electrical interference.
These characteristics are needed to measure biopotentials signals. Other component can be added to the circuit in order to improve the signals; filter
can be added to reduce electric interference, electric isolation and defibrillation shock protection. The electrical activity can originate from different
tissues and organs sources. There are different sources of biopotential signals such as EEG, ECG, EMG; they are all based on the same principles
however the signals will have smaller amplitudes. Electroencephalogram (EEG) records the electric activity of the

The writer attempts to sway the readers by using exaggeration to tradition and custom to develop her argument. The phrase "soon many young people
may not be able to write at length in Standard English" is used to describe the use of technology as something invaluable. The text would encourage the
reader to resist changes to the way they use technology and suggest that technology is damaging our society. The writer has developed his argument
by saying that "should we not warm our young people that text messaging is harmful?" Furthermore she also uses expert opinion to strengthen her
ideas. The phrase "health expert Dr Rose Khan says" would develop her intention by presenting "expert opinion" and it is attributed, so the readers
can judge like truth. The impact on the reader would be that she will think that this issue is factual. The writer has further developed her ideas by
saying that there are many obese children and adults because they use technology most of the time and spend their time at home to watch TV or use
computers. He says that obesity is therefore caused by the use of technology

Outsourcing : Human Resource Activities
Outsourcing: This explains that in modern–day organizations there has been need to outsource some human resource activities to some other
organizations to carry out. Citing Powell (Snell 1999) states that given pressures for management to be both efficiency and flexibility, firms are
exploring the use of different employment modes to allocate tasks. (Snell 1999) further states that apart from having to use internal full–time
employees, organizations today are increasingly depending on external workers, such as temporary employees, contract labourers etc. In this era
where the world is globally evolving, due to the nature of the roles, functions and responsibilities on HR in organizations, it outsources some of its
organizational activities to line managers to carry out. Although, this form of practice does not involve training, hence I will say it is quite cheap for
organizations to carry out because it relieves itself from some duties but it tend to limit the capabilities of the HR practitioners in organizations i.e.
instead of adopting the need to in–source, they outsource. This practice has helped in relieving HR department in organizations from heavy workloads
overtime (Armstrong 2009). Human resource activities such as recruitment and selection, workers' payroll, learning and development just to mention a
few are now very much outsourced to consulting organizations to carry out and bear whatever risks involved (Taylor 2008). CIPD (2011) explains that

Human Activities And Sustainable Water Management
Traditionally, human activities used to be taken into account as an external factor in environmental issues. However there has been a growing
recognition among environmental scientists that new and integrative approaches of understanding beliefs and behaviours should be introduced to
address the current environmental problems. From the ancient period humans demanded water and they chose to settle near streams for efficient water
supply. Through the industrial era, water was still very important to humans, but at the same time humanity caused the dramatic decline in the capacity
of ecosystems: human activities started to have destructive impacts on biogeochemical, hydrological, and ecological systems. In Australia, the

Human has always been in great need of fresh water for many purposes, and there are three main categories of extractive uses of water from its natural
system: agricultural irrigation, industrial and commercial activities, and residential activities. In addition to extractive uses, in–stream uses of water are
also essential for human in pollution dilution, maintenance of navigation paths, and protection of biodiversity. These water usages can have adverse
effects on the quality and quantity of freshwater, and furthermore these impacts may not only threaten ecosystem, but also make transitions in
economic and social aspects. From this, it can be seen that society and ecosystems are interdependent. However, traditional environmental scientists
tended not to give great weight to the human factor in their studies. However, the growth in global population leads to a rise in demand of freshwater,

Human Activity And Its Impact On Business Operations
"Accounting is said to be as old as any organized human activity. Dating back to Babylon and Humaraby's book of law, over Greece and Rome and
further on through history, there has always been a need to record events referring to purchase and sale, payment and collection. Such recording
originally generated bookkeeping, which at the level of development of production forces was primarily in function of trade and banking. Its further
development was according to changes in organization of business activity (Andrijasevic, n.d.)." According to Novicevic and Antic (1999), "until the
70s enterprises in West countries carried out their business in protected competitive conditions." However, in today's global economy, markets have
become universal, with organizations viewing the world as a platform for carrying out their diverse trades'. To compete successfully in the global
market, organizations/ businesses need to prioritize customer satisfaction parameters during business operations. To achieve this, they must concentrate
on key success factors such as; costs efficiency, quality, cycle time, and innovativeness. "Quality has become one of the key competitive variables

while the type or quality of attachments a young child forms seems to reflect neural processes that are "experience dependent."
Question #2: The reading also cites a study by Chisholm et al. (1995) that indicated that children who had lived in an orphanage at least 8 months had

Human Activity On The Natural Environment
Environmental law is a term describing the network of treaties, statutes, regulations, and common laws addressing the effects of human activity on the
natural environment. The government is responsible for enforcing these laws and making sure that the public is aware of the responsibility they have
to ensure the safety of our environment. Throughout this paper, the topics regarding the "tragedy of the commons", the sharing of resources, who
should have access to these resources, and the government's role in making these decisions is brought to light. Of the many issues in our world, I
believe that environmental law is put in the dark. The reason why people do not look as closely at this as they do at gun control laws is
simple...long–term effects. The public sees the effects of gun laws and equality in their community, but when it comes to recycling and using common
resources in a reusable way they are blind to the topic. The "tragedy of the commons" is an economic problem where people will neglect the needs of
other individuals and fight for their own personal gain. For example, imagine a huge pond with a lot of fish in it. Every fisherman has a regular
fishing pole and they all average about the same catches per week. Then, a company designs a new, more advanced fishing pole. A few fisherman try it
out and they end up catching double the amount of fish. Regardless of the fish declination in the pond and the impact it is having on other fisherman,

Human Activities And Its Effect On The Environment
As humans, it is important that we understand what our built environment is. The built environment is human activities and their interactions to the
environment that are shaped by our social economic activities. Furthermore, it is also imperative to know what pollutants are, "pollutants are any gas,
liquid or solid substance that have been emitted into the atmosphere and are in high enough concentrations to be considered harmful to the
environment, or human, animal and plant health" (B.C. Air Quality , 2013). The concepts of spatiality, temporality, organizational structure, and health
effects and outcomes all relate to one another in a sense that they are scales or levels that can correlate with one another to create cause and effects to
the environment. "Scale can be defined as the spatial, temporal, quantitative, or analytical dimensions used to measure and study any phenomenon,
and "levels" as the units of analysis that are located at different positions on a scale" (Cash, 2006). "Similar to spatial scale that can be thought of as
divisible into different "levels," temporal scale can be thought of as divisible into different "time frames" related to rates, durations, or frequencies"
(Cash, 2006). "Studies have found that exposure to pollutants such as nitrogen dioxides (NO2), sulfur dioxides (SO2), ozone, and particulate matter

whether due to natural variability or as a result of human activity" ( "Observed"). In today's society, there are various opinions over whether humans are
contributing to climate change or if natural causes are contributing to climate change. Some people believe that humans are the main contributor to
climate change, whilst others believe that natural causes are playing a substantially bigger role in contributing to climate change. Both human and
natural causes play a role in contributing to climate change.
An example of human activity playing a role in contributing to climate change is the increased burning of fossil fuels, which inevitably leads to
increased energy consumption. There appears to be a positive correlation, even a causation between increased energy consumption and increased carbon
dioxide emissions from 1854 to 2000. For example, in 1854, the world energy consumption for coal, oil and natural gas combined was "28 exajoules",
by 2000, the world energy consumption for coal, oil and natural gas combined was "1375 exajoules" (Gail Tverberg). Furthermore, during the
industrial revolution from 1760 to 1840, where there was a drastic change in methods of

Human Activity And The Environment
The Earth is dominated by human activity and the impact so far has been overwhelming. As a species we have changed the environment more than
any other species. What drives us to do this can be blamed for success to survive and adapt in most environments. Humanity learns to take control and
use the environment to benefit from the resources there. The demand for what we want and what we need to survive is bought by currency and
controlled by society and politics. Science wants to create easier ways to change the environment. While religion and culture try to enhance beliefs and
values among the world's people. The Earth's resource base is what makes life possible upon it. Humans are a part of the ecosystem and need to use
the same resources as everything else. The problem is that we take a majority and pollute a fair amount in the process of taking them. The health of
the environment can be overlooked when profit is an option. Companies or even individuals can take short cuts in doing a job and pollute the land or
water. Economies are important in our lives and it is a main driver in environment change. If it comes to money, the question is any being made and
how much does it cost to do whatever? Sometimes a regulation can cost a company more money and will try to change the law to benefit themselves.
They greatly influence all the groups that create change and can be positive or negative. Politicians can put into law regulations that help preserve the

Human Activity And Climate Change
HUMAN ACTIVITY AND CLIMATE CHANGE
WILLIAM WRIGHT
GRANTHAM UNIVERSITY
In this paper I will discuss Human Activity and Climate Change. I will discuss different human activities that might affect climate change, things such
as the burning of fossil fuels and how they might contribute to climate change. To begin I will discuss what the definition of climate change. Climate
change is the change in the atmosphere by the amounts of carbon dioxide levels that come from using fossil fuels. Climate change can occur when the
Earth's atmosphere become warmer than what it naturally should be. Affects that can happen from climate change is extreme weather change which
can cause flooding in areas that it has not flooded before as well as drought and glaciers to melt as well as cause the environment to change. A lot of
climate change is directly due to human activity; one of the activities that humans have done is released large amount of carbon dioxide in the
atmosphere which is a greenhouse gas that comes from burning fossil fuels. Greenhouse gases have wrapped around the earth's surface like an extra
blanket causing the Earth to heat up much more and affecting the balance of nature. Greenhouse gases are not only limited to large factories but also
the amount of vehicles on the road; cars produce carbon dioxide as well. History has shown that the choices that we make can affect us on a large
scale to include changing our environment as well as our climate.

Organization Strategy and Human Resources
An organizational strategy is the creation, implementation and evaluation of decisions within an organization that enables it to achieve its long term
objectives.
Key strategic considerations of organisation strategy include:
1) What re–configurations, reach extensions and strategic relationships will be necessary to deliver the intended strategy.
2) What new skills and capabilities will be needed and what changes in the procedures relating there too will be required.
3) What performance will be required and how these can be achieved.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
A learning organization is fast becoming a reality. In any organization continuous learning means growth through learning events and experiences for
individual employees as well as teams, and the organization as a whole. HR plays an important role in developing a culture of continuous learning.
Identifying training and development needs and arranging and development programs for employee is part of the whole learning process. A system
which creates an environment conductive to learning through experience, coaching, mentoring, self–learning as well as through training and
development is a must in the learning organization. HR which is the main organizer, director and controller of learning must ensure that actual learning
is followed by its application for bring about improvements in different areas of operations. If that happens, the learning objective is achieved and HR
is successful in adding value to the organization.
Three Ways HR Professionals Support Line Managers and their Staff

Effects Of Global Warming On Human Activity
Statement of the problem:
Nowadays the climate of the Earth is changing rapidly due to the increase of greenhouse gases. 90% of this gases released in environment is due to the
human activity by burning of fossil fuels. Due to the climate change the health sector is affected mainly children, adults and whole population. The
climate change is danger to the health system, the increase in temperature is causing in heat waves that leads to less rainfall, rise in sea level and

During the last two decades the respiratory problem has increased in United States due to the climate factors. The irritants comes from the deserts that
travel through by ocean waves which are increased by the warmer temperatures. Plant pollen has increased which are involved in air that comes in the
form of irritants. Due to this it has resulted in respiratory problems.
It has shown in 2003 the Europe the rise in temperature has killed 40,000 people in six countries. In India it was around 4000 people who die due to
heat waves. In Chicago it was 700 people who suffered with respiratory problems. It is estimated that if the warming is increased by two degree in
Atlanta results in heat related deaths.
Some researchers stated that blaming activities of human being for destruction is not at all true. They explained that life has evolved 400 million ago
and the amount of co2 was more than 10 times than now and it had decreased time to time. By this they stated that the human activity is not merely the
main cause. Some researchers argued that human activities and natural process has increased the greenhouse gases.
Increase in carbon in air and climate change both have an effect in health sector. The consumption of food which is contaminated with carbons and
inhaling the air has increased the body mass. The changes in climate has shown the stress to the mankind like the disasters which is facing today by the

Human Activities And Its Effects On The Environment Essay
Abstract Singapore and Malaysia are deeply affected with situations such as haze in the atmosphere due to several causes that are mainly due to human
activities. The interesting part about the issue is that human activities are done in recklessness and in turn affect other human activities in the process.
Human activities such as education proves that human beings are not like any other living organisms on the planet. Hence, we notice that education has
to go on just like other activities which include economic development and the health industry. Moreover, there are other causes of the haze which
entails the natural calamities such as heavy rainfall and tsunami. The industrial activities have been affecting the geographical environment of the two
countries negatively. Hence, judging by this, life becomes very difficult for both human and animals as their health is at risk. If the issue is addressed
effectively then there will be a great improvement on health, education and economy in the two countries.
Keywords: haze, health, tsunami, industrial activities.
Introduction
Being neighbors to Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia are not excluded from the choking as a result of the haze from Indonesia's forest fires. As of
2015 the choking became more intense due to air pollution at the same time cutting off flights and important activities. Schools in Singapore and
Malaysia have been affected as a result of this choking. In Malaysia wildlife have been negatively affected. The

Human Activity And Climate Change
Human Activity and Climate Change Natural atmospheric greenhouse gases, which predominantly consist of water vapor, and minor parts of carbon
dioxide, nitrous oxide and methane, are vital in balancing Earth's surface temperature to a life–sustaining average. Indubitable, global warming and
cooling has occurred naturally; however, data indicates that the sun's energy distribution has virtually been constant within the past century.
Furthermore, evidence indicates that the balance in greenhouse gases has been compromised by a rapidly expanding human population and their
activities, such as the burning of fossil fuels over the past fifty years. The effects of humanity's blissfulness can lead to extreme climate changes in the
near future, which does not exclusively threatens our livelihood; however, the existence of all Earth's inhabitants. Although, Earth experienced an array
of climate changes in the distant past, these fluctuations were primarily caused by the change in Earth's orbit rather than in an upsurge or diminution in
solar energy. NASA states that, "climate changes are attributed to very small variations in Earth's orbit that change the amount of solar energy our
planet receives" (NASA). However, with the advancement in technology, scientists are now adept to collect data globally which indicates that
approximately 70 years ago, atmospheric carbon dioxide increased vividly surpassing the 300 parts per million baseline. NASA states that, "based on

have changed the atmosphere, the great cause of the climate in our environment, and possible solutions to the damaging effects on the earth.
1.Human Causes And Natural Activities:
a)Environmental pollution: in few words we can say that environmental contamination is the action of chemical, physical and/or biological agents in a
way that alters the conditions of the soil, land, air, and living beings of a harmful way.
Types of contamination can be: Water pollution: is the water of impurities, such as microorganisms, chemicals, industrial wastes, and other types or
waste water. These materials deteriorate the quality of the water and make it useless for the intended uses. Pure water is a renewable resource, however
it can get so polluted by human activities that is no longer useful, but rather harmful.
What pollutes the water?
пѓ Pathogens – bacteria, viruses, protozoa, parasites that enter the water from organic wastes.
пѓ Wastes requiring oxygen. – The organic waste can be decomposed by bacteria that use oxygen for biodegradables. If there are large populations
of these bacteria, can deplete the oxygen in the water, killing the forms of life aquatic.
пѓ Inorganic chemicals. – Acids, compounds of toxic metals (mercury, lead), poisoned water.

The Effects Of Climate Change On Human Activities
Climate change is a highly talked about topic. Scientist have been studying this for many and many years. There are facts that say climate change
occurs from natural things like volcanic eruptions, solar activity, and orbital change. Scientist say that its caused by human activities. This is being sent
to you because you need to know that climate change is happening from humans more then other things like natural processes. You have inspired me
to try my hardest to get to the top and be my best because I have worked for it. I feel like you 're the one to write my letter to because you will
understand why this will need to stop and hopefully you can do something about it.Climate Change is being speedup by human activities like burning
fossil fuels, deforestation, and Carbon dioxide being released by cars The most important human activity that is causing the most damage is the
burning of fossil fuels. Burning of fossil fuels is causing CO2 to be released into the atmosphere called greenhouse gases. Greenhouse gases affect
many things like "Increase Earth 's average temperature,Influence the patterns and amounts of precipitation,Reduce ice and snow cover, as well as
permafrost,Raise sea level,Increase the acidity of the oceans, and more." All of these will affect us the humans and the world in big ways. Also these
things can also affect the animals in the water, and the animals on land. The rise of temperature has risen "1.4 degrees Fahrenheit since 1880,"(NASA)

Human Activity : The Environment : Humans And The Environment
the environment is not just a Liberal, Republican or Democratic idea; it's everybody's business. The environment provides life for every person on
this earth, and we must recognize that Earth's resources are finite. The resources are contained within the boundaries of planet Earth, and are therefore
very limited. Many of our resources can be recycled or regenerated, but it takes time for this to happen "The rate in which modern human civilization is
using up those resources is faster than they can be naturally regenerated" (Mike Adams Humans vs the Environment). Human activity is destroying the
environment. Since we are cutting down the rain forest, this in return is releasing gases into the atmosphere. Rivers and oceans are being polluted and
causing severe damage. Hundreds of years ago North America had huge forests, clear, clean rivers, and abundant land for agriculture. Today land has
been over developed, and is over–populated to the point that our ancestors are rolling–over in their graves from the devastation humans are doing to
our planet. The corporate greed of several large companies such as Monsanto DuPont, oil companies, fast–food chains, and chemical companies will not
stop until every exploitable resource on our planet has been used up or sold to consumers. We can tell there is not a lot of hope that any meaningful
change will come from any of these companies. "The corporate greed machine will continue rolling forward at continued growth, more consumption,

Water And Its Effects On Human Activities
Perhaps water is one of the most important elements for both evolution purposes and sustenance of life on earth. On the other hand, water sustains
environment and gives support to the livelihood. It is good to note that availability of fresh water plays a big role in improving the quality of human
life and overall progress of mankind in various spheres of life that are significantly dependent on it. In addition, water promotes equality between
nations and also between the rich and poor within the same country. Access to fresh water improveshuman behaviour which also involves various
ways on which we adopt to the environment. Water that is of good quality is impacted by human activities which in turn lead to good health
implication, economic growth, and poverty alleviation and in all aspects development. However, there has been high increase in competition for water
day after another due to collapsing of major ecological systems and catchment areas, depletion of ground water areas and diminishing river flows.
Since the time of immemorial water has been a social fabric in various social systems including in religious ceremonies.

Is International Human Rights Activity? Essay
The lynchpin of the 21st century has been the notion of liberalism, whether in relation to individuals, a race or even a nation. Societies are founded on
the idea of dominion and other societies have learned to embrace cultural differences and give credibility to them as a result. However today's era of
globalisation has yet to shake off fully the imperialistic attitude that was prevalent up until the 1800. While the intention behind the creation of
fundamental human rights – such as the Charter of the United Nations – was an amicable one, the reality has given rise to anomalies when dealing with
nations that are outside the norm of accepted practices. This strains the concept of international human rights as it contests the concept of state
sovereignty. This essay will argue that international human rights activity can be seen as a struggle to balance the competing claims of sovereignty and
international human rights. While some activity by amalgamated international forces are warranted, the process in determining action is in itself the
cause of the tension rather than the act.
It is first important to understand the parameters of state sovereignty. Sovereignty encapsulates the principle of unrestricted and unquestionable
political power, meaning that sovereign states have the power and ability to rule its nation without outside influence. In theory, for example, the current
conflict between Hamas and Israel over the control of Gaza is warranted, as both Hamas and

Climate Change : Human Activity
Climate Change: Human Activity is to Blame
Climate change is an extremely serious threat because it affects every living thing on the planet. Climate change can have destructive effects like
causing extreme weather events, ocean acidification and increasing global temperature. These are only few of the effects of climate change and if it
continues can even cause the extinction of humanity. Much of the scientific community agrees that our use of fossil fuels is the cause and our
continued dependency will most definitely lead to problems. Although there is evidence that human activity to blame for climate change some people
deny its very existence. Some of these people have perspectives that make sense, but lack scientific evidence to support their arguments. There should
not be any debate or skepticism surrounding climate change because human activity is the problem. Although the effects of climate change have been
subtle so far they are unmistakable. Research done by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) show that the atmosphere and ocean
have warmed ice has melted and the sea level has risen. Their research also shows that the weather patterns in certain areas have started to change.
Many places have started to see less cold days and much more hot days. The World Meteorological organization said that the increase of hot days has
increased the deaths caused by heat related reasons have increased by twenty percent. They also report that since 1895 nine of the

The Movement Activity : End Human Trafficking
Activism Activity: End Human Trafficking
Introduction
The issue of human trafficking has swept the globe with the exploitation of millions of women, men, and children of all ages, races, and religions.
As social workers, it is imperative to understand the depth of this social issue and how it relates to the victims that are being served. Not only is it
important to understand the issue but also it is critical to raise awareness and participate in activism to end this form of violence. For my activism
activity, I chose to research and create a video regarding human trafficking and ways to become involved in creating change.

Although men are also victims of trafficking, women and children are most likely to be exploited and coerced. The International Labor Organization
(as cited in Cecchet & Thoburn, 2014) estimates that 98% of the victims of sex trafficking are women and children. For the purpose of this assignment,
I chose to focus on women and children and review the different ways to advocate for them.
The Scope and Impact of Human Trafficking
There is a specific population of children who are targeted by traffickers, which include homeless and runaway youth. The risk factors that contribute to
their high level of vulnerability include poverty, severe abuse and neglect within the family, drug and alcohol abuse, and unstable relationships with
their caregivers. Unfortunately, many victims also have a past traumatic experience with sexual molestation, rape or incest in their early childhood
(Countryman–Roswum & Bolin, 2014).
As well as children, women who have had emotionally or physically traumatizing pasts are more vulnerable to falling prey to human traffickers.
Feelings of instability and a low sense of belonging can lead to women looking to fill an emotional gap that traffickers are targeting. Women who have
survived human trafficking, specifically forced prostitution, describe that initially they had been in love with their pimps and their pimps filled the void
that were looking for. Avictim

Gambling Is An Intriguing Human Activity
Gambling is an intriguing human activity. It changes individuals in many ways and continues to develop increasingly since gambling was
introduced. Gambling has been a form of entertainment for many more years than it seems. "During the year of 1497, John Cabot found a native
population who played a bunch of games of chance". ("Gambling 101") Unfortunately, around 1892, all gambling activities were banned by the
Canadian criminal code. ("Gambling 101") As the years went by, the rules became less strict, which gave the chance for numerous forms of
gambling to become legal. Since then, the growth and significance has highly increased, it has even transformed into a popular pastime. ("Gambling
101") In 1989, Winnipeg was the first province in Canada to have a permanent casino ("Gambling 101"). Within a small period of 14 years, 76
facilities were built which offered gambling activities such as slot machines and even game tables. ("Gambling 101") Gambling has become an
addiction which has been shown by many symptoms and brought many negative impacts to people's lives. Thankfully, there has been many ways of
recovery found for this addiction.
The addiction of gambling doesn't come in any which way. Since everyone loves winning, gambling can make certain individuals feel great. During the
first try of gambling, many people have beginners luck which is when some people start to believe that their winning streak has begun. As a result,
gamblers start spending a flourishing amount

Human Activity And Its Impact On Creation
Introduction
There is indisputable evidence that the planet earth, the home of all life; wildlife, water, land, and air can be damaged by human activities,
consequently making people suffer. Once this happens, it is egregious especially from the fact that creation serves as the revelation of God's presence,
majesty, and provision. Irrespective of the point that not every person physically hears God's revelation from the scripture; every humanity has access
to God's cosmic revelation; the heavens, the waters, the natural order, the beauty of nature (Psalm 19, Romans 1). Our presumption is that human
activity is mixed in its impact on creation; sometimes productive and caring, but often irresponsible, avoidable and sinful. The command from God to
tend and keep the earth has never passed away from the fall man; this means that man still bears responsibility of keeping and tending the earth.
Therefore, lack of concern and failure to take action carefully as followers of Christ is a poor reflection to the rest of the world. In this particular
case, we take responsibility for the damage that we have done to God's cosmic revelation and pledge to take a resolute stance in preserving and
protecting the creation over which we have been assigned responsibility by God Himself.

Culture Is A Sum Of Different Human Activities

  • 1. Culture Is A Sum Of Different Human Activities According to The Oxford Pocket Dictionary of Current English Online, "culture" is "[t]he customs, arts, social institutions, and achievements of a particular nation, people, or other social group" ("Culture"). Instead, according to E.B. Taylor, the first professional anthropologist, "culture is that complex whole which included knowledge, belief, arts, morals, law, custom, and any other capabilities and habits acquired by man as a member of society"( qtd. in Scupin 42). Both definitions imply that culture is a sum of different human activities. Both definitions imply that culture is a sum of habitual activities transmitted from one individual to another through repetition and patterns––custom and habits. In addition, both definitions imply that culture affects human behavior and social interaction–belief, achievements, morals, law, social institution. Nonetheless, the two definitions have different recipients of culture. The Oxford Pocket Dictionary of Current English Online describes culture as a set of different human activities of a "particular nation, people, or other social group" ("Culture").Instead, for E.B. Taylor, culture is "acquired by man as a member of society" (qtd. In Scupin 42). While The Oxford Pocket Dictionary of Current English Online defines culture as something related to different social groups, people or nations and therefore consider the existence of multiple cultures independent and yet connected to one another, Taylor defines culture as something ... • 2. Human Activity And Climate Change Climate Change is a change in the weather patterns and a change is called a climate change when it lasts for a decade to millions of years. Climate change is also known as a change in average weather conditions or the change in the weather for a longer term. I believe that human activities are primarily responsible for the climate change. We the human beings are doing lots of things that can affect very badly to our earth. We are producing the greenhouse gases which are creating global warming. Climate change is causing the Arctic ice cap to melt, sea level to rise, acidity level of the ocean to increase, the temperature of the ocean to increase, melting of the Glaciers, weather system to change, more droughts, change in precipitation, and Permafrost to melt. The human activity which causes climate change is the increase in production of the carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide. This gas absorbs the sunlight which hits the earth and makes the planet warm through the process called the greenhouse effect. Human activity has increased the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere from the burning of fossil fuels and cement production. Human activity like agriculture and fossil fuel production increase the Methane level in the atmosphere. Human activity like agriculture also increases the level of nitrous oxide. All the greenhouse gases have increased in the atmosphere which makes the earth warmer. Human activity like burning fossil fuels, cutting down forests for making farms, cities, and roads. All the human activity which produce greenhouse gases are responsible for climate change. The level of carbon dioxide is increasing more because of the industries, vehicle and other human activities. The level of carbon dioxide which is increasing comes from human activity and we know that because of its isotopic ratio. The isotopic ratio also shows that the carbon dioxide is not from the natural process of the volcanic activity, ocean outgassing, etc. The human activities which produce most of the greenhouse gases are industries, cutting of trees, electricity production, burning of fossil fuel like coal, oil. The vehicles, agricultural activities, residential, commercial are also responsible to produce greenhouse ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The Effects Of Global Warming On Human Activity Debates about global warming have received much attention in the last few years. Opponents may say global warming is a natural cause however, the reality is global warming is occurring due to human activity. Global warming is best defined as a term used to describe a gradual increase in the average temperature of the Earth's atmosphere and its oceans, a change that is believed to be permanently changing the Earth's climate. Global warming does not only increase temperature it is also capable of decreasing temperature in Earth's climate. Global warming is occurring due to human activity because of industrial purposes, lack of education, nuclear power waste and testing, automobile pollution and greenhouse gases. Increase in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Ever since the industrial revolution earth's atmosphere has begun to heat up. The Industrial Revolution was the transition to new manufacturing processes in the period from about 1760 to sometime between 1820 and 1840. During that time period burning coal was used to power machines and factories. Coal is considered a fossil fuel, it is unreplaceable. Also burning coal is harmful for the environment. Although the use of coal has decreased, it is still in places and its harming the environment. Greenhouse gases harm the environment dramatically. Green house gas is best known as any gaseous compound in the atmosphere that is capable of absorbing infrared radiation, thereby trapping and holding heat in the atmosphere (A Blanket Around the Earth, 1). By increasing the heat in the atmosphere, greenhouse gases are responsible for the greenhouse effect, which ultimately leads to global warming. Most climate scientists agree the main cause of the current global warming trend is human expansion of the "greenhouse effect" (A Blanket Around the Earth, 1). So its obvious greenhouse gases which are a caused by human activity are a major contribution to global warming. Long–lived gases that remain semi– permanently in the atmosphere and do not respond physically or chemically to changes in temperature and described as "forcing" climate change (A Blanket Around the Earth, 1). This quote shows how greenhouse gases cause changes in the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The Effects Of Climate Change On Human Activities The Fraudulence of Climate Change Humans have been emitting increasingly large amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere since the industrial revolution. A common misconception created by the Liberal Left is that this pollution is harmful to the atmosphere and is a direct cause of climate change. However many studies have disputed this claim, conversely concluding that pollution caused by human activities are not correlated to climate change in any way. In the theory of climate change, there is one undisputable fact, human pollution has risen significantly during the past century. Some scientists may claim that this pollution fuels climate change. A significant flaw in this theory is that climate change isn't even occurring. This... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In fact this exact scenario happened! Up until the Little Ice Age in the 14th and 15th centuries, the global temperature was rising. This took place before any industrialization, therefore there would be no human made pollution to cause this warming. This in itself exposes the fallacy of climate change. Any way you look at it, the climate change theory is flawed. If you accept the pre–1979 readings as true, then you would see an isolated case of global warming which could not have been caused by human pollution, thus proving climate change is a natural phenomenon. If you only take into account the post–1979 readings, then you will see that climate change is not even occurring. The climate change theory has been plagued by scandals. The Left is promoting climate change in order to push their own political agenda. Since climate change is potentially devastating to the earth, which everyone wants to preserve, then liberals can use this issue as a trump card. They are basically saying that in order to avoid extinction, we need to vote for them above anyone else who doesn't accept climate change as fact. Politicians feed on climate change's 'imminent destruction' in order to sway moderate voters to the left. They appeal to our primal instincts of self–preservation in order to become elected, and once elected, they can pass unrelated legislation. In addition to politicians, environmentalists benefit from the theory of climate ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. The Nature Of Human Activity Archaeology, the study of the material remains of human activity, depends on certain sources of data and the interpretation thereof. It is not always easy to distinguish explicit expressions of theory within the archaeological reports that follow excavations. However, it is nearly impossible to find empiricism, which is an inherently implicit element of theory and is therefore very difficult to express outright. The most general definition is that empiricism holds that knowledge comes through sense and experience. In archaeology, an additional facet is added to the definition: the ability of items of the archaeological record, artifacts or data, to speak for themselves through sheer scientific inquiry. There are many sub–descriptions of empiricism. The two most common are vulgar empiricism, which is a strictly atheoretical perspective, that is to say without theory or even outside of theory, not to be confused with the other, empirical sufficiency, the necessity that a claim be backed by empirical data. Though hidden under other theories, empiricism is within all archaeological processes. It is from these shadows of theory that the archaeological community should bring empiricism into the open and acknowledge it as a necessary part of the archaeological interpretation process. The word empiricism is derived from the ancient Greek word for experience, empeiria. As a theoretical element, in its modern form, it began with the writings of Francis Bacon, Pierre Gassendi, and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Human Activity and Energy Sources Earth's resources, for instance water, productive farming land and energy, outlines the basic foundations of our continued existence on earth. However, with the continued human activities, for example logging and charcoal burning, these resources are quickly being depleted. Human inhabitation and increased consumption of the natural resources is resulting in untold destruction. The climate change being experienced globally, the rapidly depleting freshwater catchments, the dwindling forest cover, the ever reducing fish 'stash' in our seas and oceans and farmland dereliction are some of the effects resulting from human occupation and activities. Poaching, another human activity, is resulting in the extinction of certain animal species thus... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Sustainability is a model that has been developed to ensure that human life is not threatened by continuing depletion of the natural resources. This model has also been adopted in order to ensure that the ecosystem is protected. Sustainability is being promoted in order to ensure that human beings and the environment coexist within certain set restrictions so as to ensure that the ecosystem continues to support life. In addition, this model ensures that humans understand the relationship which manages the balance between their activities on the ecosystem. Through sustainability, human beings will be able to utilize the available natural resources sparingly with the view that future generations are depending on it too (Maria and Luciana 3). Some of the renewable sources of energy are solar, hydropower, biomass and wind. The use of these energy sources ensures that the ecosystem remain self serving and thus able to sustain human life (Diane and Shubhayu 12). The uptake and use of solar energy is yet to be fully utilized because in America, the percentage of people using this energy is minimal. In the United States, solar energy represents almost a half of one percent of the total electricity use, a number that is insignificant (Diane and Shubhayu 12). The human population is yet to realize that solar energy can be used extensively in both heating and lighting. Moreover, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Describe The Activity Of Human Amylase Amylase is an enzyme that is responsible for splitting up food that contain high quantities of carbohydrates and starch into simple and smaller groups of sugar. Amylase can be found in plants, humans, bacteria, fungi and other mammals. Human amylase is an example of an organism that produces alpha amylase and can be found in the pancreatic juice in the pancreas and the saliva in the mouth. Both the pancreatic juice and the saliva play important roles in the digestive system. Three Activities in Human Resource Management Three Activities in Human Resource Management Introduction With the process of globalization and internationalization, multinational firms develop rapidly. What is the multinational firm? It should be called multinational corporation (MNCs) which is more academic. An MNC is a company physically active in more than one country, like McDonald, Nestle, Ford etc. General speaking, Human Resource Management plays an essential role for an enterprise, especially for a multinational enterprise. What is Human Resource Management? Noe et al. (2006: 5) defined HRM that "HRM refers to the policies, practices and systems that influence employee behavior, attitudes and performance in order to support business goals and objectives" while Dowling ... In the process of local development of subsidiaries, the system of operation become mature and HCNs become more familiar for companies' policies, methods, technology and management etc. so it is necessary and brilliant to expand the space of promotions for HCNs in the late operation. That is to say, increasing the proportion of HCNs in the senior managers in the late operation can bring lots of benefits for company. For example, it will cut down the cost efficiently and motivate the local staff to work harder significantly. The second HR activity is about compensation and benefits. Firstly, this HR activity for multinational firms involves different currencies and stability of currencies. With the fluctuation of exchange rates, a foreign currency may appreciate or depreciate, which bring more risk for multinational firms. Also, with the diversity of nations and cultures, the institution of compensation may vary from parent company to subsidiary. For example, different countries have different price levels, which lead to different wage levels. Lastly, according to three categories of employees, the compensation and benefits are different. • 9. Human Activity And Industrial Revolution The earth is just combination of uniqueness and also it is comprised of perfect mechanism. Every individual creation or place is in sync but it is weak and it can easily be destroyed as long as one part is extinct. In nowadays, there are only few lands remained untouched, however, one of them is Mongolian territory. Therefore, it has been truly becoming comfort and safe environment for wild animals and plants, especially for rare species. Although last few decades, all these creation of natures are close to extinct because they are threatened by deforestation. This human acts doesn't follow Taylor's 4 duties which we have to other living beings (Non–Maleficence, Non–Interference, Fidelity, Restitutive Justice). Thus if we won't seriously pay attention of it, it is so close to bring us death. For many years, people extolled Mongolian beauty of nature, its vast wilderness and animals. Unfortunately, this beauty is being shattered by factors of human activity and industrial revolution. In other word is which led to "Deforestation." Industrialization prevents humanity from personally being a part of the process of utilizing resources. It turns people led to lack of respect being paid to living beings. The Effects of Human Activity on Coastal Landforms The Effects of Human Activity on Coastal Landforms Human activities add another layer of complexity to the natural processes of coastal lands and materials. These activities may have direct or indirect effects on our changing coastlines. They may effect sources of new sediment to the coast and the movement of sediment within the coastal environment. Sediment starvation caused by river and coastal management is one effect of human activities on the coast. For some coastal regions, such as the Pacific coast, a large part of their sediment is supplied by rivers. This leaves the sand dunes more susceptible to erosion causing blowouts and disrupting the succession of vegetation in the area. This has been a problem at Studland Bay in Dorset on the south coast of England. Persistent human leisure activities on the dunes has led to substantial erosion in some parts of these dunes which has meant that Management programs have had to been introduced by English Nature. Sand dunes help absorb the pounding of high waves and reduce overwash flooding in storms. It has become common for sand dunes to be bulldozed to improve the views to the sea. However this destroys the natural protection of the coast. Human activities such as water transport also can cause problems for coastal areas. The dredging of navigation channels and the discharging of the material in deep water to enable larger ships to travel though water channels removes sediment from the coastal system leaving the area susceptible to erosion and will also interfere with longshore drift which will prevent the coastal beach landforms from being maintained such as the development of a spit. It is likely that a spit will be eroded and start to regress in conditions such as these. An example is Spurn head Spit. Spurn head is lcated, on the humber Estuary in North East England. • 12. The Effect Of Human Activity On The Abundance Of... The Effect of Human Activity on the Abundance of Freshwater Microorganisms Fatima Cubillas Flores Biology Honors Period 5 Dr. Frank 21 November 2016 It is an undoubted fact that humans can impact the quality of water, and there has also been an immense increase in the need for water for survival in today's society. Water is used for many purposes such as in manufactured goods, for the growth of food, for mere drinking, and for the production and use of energy (Gleick). The National Research Council of the National Academy of Sciences in the U.S.A. suggests that humans get an average of one–and–a–half milliliters of water per calorie of food.. Bathing is suggested to need an average of 70 litres of water for every human being a day. 11.5 liters of water is on average used for food preparation a day; from this it becomes clear that freshwater sources are very important to the survival of the human race (Gleick). Water is so important to the survival of all organisms that as human activity increases in sources of freshwater, it calls to attention: How does human activity affect the abundance of microorganisms and water quality of the water? The presence and variety of microorganisms in water accounts for most of the indicators of water quality. The presence of Coliform is a big indicator of fecal contamination in freshwater sources. Coliform bacteria is an organism that is naturally present in the human digestive tract; these tend to be rare and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 13. The Science Of Human Physical Activity In Chapter one of our text, Introduction to Kinesiology the Science of Human Physical Activity by Stephan Wallace. We are introduced to three major types of movement, Sportive movement, symbolic movement, and supportive movement. At the basis of all three movements they are very similar although they highlight different attributes of an athlete or a person living an everyday lifestyle. Sportive movement is identified as a skill related physical activity, meaning any competitive activity that has a clear winner or loser. Sportive movement also has the implication that one person can be superior to another in that sport because, their skill level is significantly higher than other teammates. An example would be a varsity football athlete and a college football athlete. What can make the college player superior than a varsity player is that his muscle mass has a higher density, making the hits have a greater force than that of a varsity player. Another possibility that could make the college athlete's performance be superior is the skill level at which they train at. Symbolic movement refers to physical activity that expresses thoughts and feelings through the body; the main emphasis being physical expressiveness (Wallace 2013). This type of movement is seen in the art division, such as dance, music, poetry, literature. With symbolic movement, we are expressing our thoughts; our feelings by using more than just words, we paint a visual picture with our language or our ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 14. Electrical Activities in the Human Body Introduction Biopotential signals are electrical activities of the human body systems which are measured by potential fluctuations between points in living cells, tissues and organisms .In medicine field, certain biopotential signals are important as they are considering diagnosis and patient monitoring. These signals represent the activity of particular organs such as the heart, brain, muscles and many more. With the help of specialised electrodes, biopotential signals transduce low–noise and artefact–free signals to the organ or the body. A basic biopotential amplifier consists of an instrumentation amplifier. The amplifier should have several characteristics such as high amplification, input impedance and the ability to reject any electrical interference. These characteristics are needed to measure biopotentials signals. Other component can be added to the circuit in order to improve the signals; filter can be added to reduce electric interference, electric isolation and defibrillation shock protection. The electrical activity can originate from different tissues and organs sources. There are different sources of biopotential signals such as EEG, ECG, EMG; they are all based on the same principles however the signals will have smaller amplitudes. Outsourcing : Human Resource Activities Outsourcing: This explains that in modern–day organizations there has been need to outsource some human resource activities to some other organizations to carry out. Citing Powell (Snell 1999) states that given pressures for management to be both efficiency and flexibility, firms are exploring the use of different employment modes to allocate tasks. (Snell 1999) further states that apart from having to use internal full–time employees, organizations today are increasingly depending on external workers, such as temporary employees, contract labourers etc. In this era where the world is globally evolving, due to the nature of the roles, functions and responsibilities on HR in organizations, it outsources some of its organizational activities to line managers to carry out. Although, this form of practice does not involve training, hence I will say it is quite cheap for organizations to carry out because it relieves itself from some duties but it tend to limit the capabilities of the HR practitioners in organizations i.e. instead of adopting the need to in–source, they outsource. This practice has helped in relieving HR department in organizations from heavy workloads overtime (Armstrong 2009). Human resource activities such as recruitment and selection, workers' payroll, learning and development just to mention a few are now very much outsourced to consulting organizations to carry out and bear whatever risks involved (Taylor 2008). • 17. Human Activities And Sustainable Water Management Traditionally, human activities used to be taken into account as an external factor in environmental issues. However there has been a growing recognition among environmental scientists that new and integrative approaches of understanding beliefs and behaviours should be introduced to address the current environmental problems. From the ancient period humans demanded water and they chose to settle near streams for efficient water supply. Through the industrial era, water was still very important to humans, but at the same time humanity caused the dramatic decline in the capacity of ecosystems: human activities started to have destructive impacts on biogeochemical, hydrological, and ecological systems. In Australia, the Murray–Darling ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This paper will explore how important it is to apply social sciences into ecology and hydrology in a narrower sense, and what effects and changes the socio–hydrology in the Basin Plan has brought to the water management in the MDB. What is socio–hydrology? Human has always been in great need of fresh water for many purposes, and there are three main categories of extractive uses of water from its natural system: agricultural irrigation, industrial and commercial activities, and residential activities. In addition to extractive uses, in–stream uses of water are also essential for human in pollution dilution, maintenance of navigation paths, and protection of biodiversity. These water usages can have adverse effects on the quality and quantity of freshwater, and furthermore these impacts may not only threaten ecosystem, but also make transitions in economic and social aspects. From this, it can be seen that society and ecosystems are interdependent. However, traditional environmental scientists tended not to give great weight to the human factor in their studies. However, the growth in global population leads to a rise in demand of freshwater, and now it is unreasonable to deny the truth that humans make huge impacts on water resources. Dating back to Babylon and Humaraby's book of law, over Greece and Rome and further on through history, there has always been a need to record events referring to purchase and sale, payment and collection. Such recording originally generated bookkeeping, which at the level of development of production forces was primarily in function of trade and banking. Its further development was according to changes in organization of business activity (Andrijasevic, n.d.)." Human Activity On The Natural Environment Environmental law is a term describing the network of treaties, statutes, regulations, and common laws addressing the effects of human activity on the natural environment. The government is responsible for enforcing these laws and making sure that the public is aware of the responsibility they have to ensure the safety of our environment. Throughout this paper, the topics regarding the "tragedy of the commons", the sharing of resources, who should have access to these resources, and the government's role in making these decisions is brought to light. Of the many issues in our world, I believe that environmental law is put in the dark. The reason why people do not look as closely at this as they do at gun control laws is simple...long–term effects. The public sees the effects of gun laws and equality in their community, but when it comes to recycling and using common resources in a reusable way they are blind to the topic. The "tragedy of the commons" is an economic problem where people will neglect the needs of other individuals and fight for their own personal gain. For example, imagine a huge pond with a lot of fish in it. Every fisherman has a regular fishing pole and they all average about the same catches per week. Then, a company designs a new, more advanced fishing pole. A few fisherman try it out and they end up catching double the amount of fish. Furthermore, it is also imperative to know what pollutants are, "pollutants are any gas, liquid or solid substance that have been emitted into the atmosphere and are in high enough concentrations to be considered harmful to the environment, or human, animal and plant health" (B.C. Air Quality , 2013). The concepts of spatiality, temporality, organizational structure, and health effects and outcomes all relate to one another in a sense that they are scales or levels that can correlate with one another to create cause and effects to the environment. "Scale can be defined as the spatial, temporal, quantitative, or analytical dimensions used to measure and study any phenomenon, and "levels" as the units of analysis that are located at different positions on a scale" (Cash, 2006). "Similar to spatial scale that can be thought of as divisible into different "levels," temporal scale can be thought of as divisible into different "time frames" related to rates, durations, or frequencies" (Cash, 2006). Human Activity And Climate Change The IPCC define climate change as "change in the state of the climate that can be identified (e.g. using statistical tests) by changes in the mean and/or the variability of its properties, and that persists for an extended period, typically decades or longer. It refers to any change in climate over time, whether due to natural variability or as a result of human activity" ( "Observed"). In today's society, there are various opinions over whether humans are contributing to climate change or if natural causes are contributing to climate change. Some people believe that humans are the main contributor to climate change, whilst others believe that natural causes are playing a substantially bigger role in contributing to climate change. Both human and natural causes play a role in contributing to climate change. An example of human activity playing a role in contributing to climate change is the increased burning of fossil fuels, which inevitably leads to increased energy consumption. There appears to be a positive correlation, even a causation between increased energy consumption and increased carbon dioxide emissions from 1854 to 2000. For example, in 1854, the world energy consumption for coal, oil and natural gas combined was "28 exajoules", by 2000, the world energy consumption for coal, oil and natural gas combined was "1375 exajoules" (Gail Tverberg). The demand for what we want and what we need to survive is bought by currency and controlled by society and politics. Science wants to create easier ways to change the environment. While religion and culture try to enhance beliefs and values among the world's people. The Earth's resource base is what makes life possible upon it. Humans are a part of the ecosystem and need to use the same resources as everything else. The problem is that we take a majority and pollute a fair amount in the process of taking them. The health of the environment can be overlooked when profit is an option. Companies or even individuals can take short cuts in doing a job and pollute the land or water. I will discuss different human activities that might affect climate change, things such as the burning of fossil fuels and how they might contribute to climate change. To begin I will discuss what the definition of climate change. Climate change is the change in the atmosphere by the amounts of carbon dioxide levels that come from using fossil fuels. Climate change can occur when the Earth's atmosphere become warmer than what it naturally should be. Affects that can happen from climate change is extreme weather change which can cause flooding in areas that it has not flooded before as well as drought and glaciers to melt as well as cause the environment to change. A lot of climate change is directly due to human activity; one of the activities that humans have done is released large amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere which is a greenhouse gas that comes from burning fossil fuels. Greenhouse gases have wrapped around the earth's surface like an extra blanket causing the Earth to heat up much more and affecting the balance of nature. Greenhouse gases are not only limited to large factories but also the amount of vehicles on the road; cars produce carbon dioxide as well. History has shown that the choices that we make can affect us on a large scale to include changing our environment as well as our climate. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Human Activities And Its Effects On The Environment Essay Abstract Singapore and Malaysia are deeply affected with situations such as haze in the atmosphere due to several causes that are mainly due to human activities. The interesting part about the issue is that human activities are done in recklessness and in turn affect other human activities in the process. Human activities such as education proves that human beings are not like any other living organisms on the planet. Hence, we notice that education has to go on just like other activities which include economic development and the health industry. Moreover, there are other causes of the haze which entails the natural calamities such as heavy rainfall and tsunami. The industrial activities have been affecting the geographical environment of the two countries negatively. Hence, judging by this, life becomes very difficult for both human and animals as their health is at risk. If the issue is addressed effectively then there will be a great improvement on health, education and economy in the two countries. Keywords: haze, health, tsunami, industrial activities. Societies are founded on the idea of dominion and other societies have learned to embrace cultural differences and give credibility to them as a result. However today's era of globalisation has yet to shake off fully the imperialistic attitude that was prevalent up until the 1800. While the intention behind the creation of fundamental human rights – such as the Charter of the United Nations – was an amicable one, the reality has given rise to anomalies when dealing with nations that are outside the norm of accepted practices. This strains the concept of international human rights as it contests the concept of state sovereignty. This essay will argue that international human rights activity can be seen as a struggle to balance the competing claims of sovereignty and international human rights. While some activity by amalgamated international forces are warranted, the process in determining action is in itself the cause of the tension rather than the act. It is first important to understand the parameters of state sovereignty. Sovereignty encapsulates the principle of unrestricted and unquestionable political power, meaning that sovereign states have the power and ability to rule its nation without outside influence. Human Activity And Its Impact On Creation Introduction There is indisputable evidence that the planet earth, the home of all life; wildlife, water, land, and air can be damaged by human activities, consequently making people suffer. Once this happens, it is egregious especially from the fact that creation serves as the revelation of God's presence, majesty, and provision. Irrespective of the point that not every person physically hears God's revelation from the scripture; every humanity has access to God's cosmic revelation; the heavens, the waters, the natural order, the beauty of nature (Psalm 19, Romans 1).
