The ready-made garment industry has grown significantly in Bangladesh since the late 1970s. It now employs around 4 million people, mostly women, and accounts for around 80% of the country's total exports. The industry produces both woven and knit garments for markets around the world, particularly in the United States and Europe. However, issues around worker safety, wages, and labor conditions continue to pose challenges for the sustainable growth of the sector.
This document is a 3 sentence assignment summary for a course on Apparel Wash & Finishing. It was submitted by Md. Ahad Khan to his professor Engr. Md. Mashiur Rahman Khan on May 8, 2015 for a class with the course code AWF-514 on garments dyeing techniques. The assignment explores dyeing techniques for garments.
The document provides an intensive report on the garments industry in Bangladesh. It discusses the industry's growth over the past 25 years from a negligible sector to a $6 billion industry that employs over 1 million people. The garments industry has significantly contributed to Bangladesh's economic growth and development by making up around 75% of total export earnings and 13% of GDP. However, the industry also faces challenges such as safety issues, reliance on foreign markets, and vulnerability to external economic shocks. Moving forward, the report recommends further developing the industry through market and product diversification to reduce risks.
Water pollution is a serious issue caused by various human and natural sources. Excess fertilizer and other pollutants are causing large algae blooms in lakes. The main sources of pollution are point sources like factories and non-point sources like agricultural runoff. While industries and agriculture are major contributors, domestic waste and individual behaviors also significantly impact water quality. Proper wastewater treatment can remove many pollutants but emerging contaminants like pharmaceuticals remain a concern. Preventing pollution requires conservation, responsible chemical use, and maintaining stormwater infrastructure. Addressing water issues will require awareness, education, sustainable practices, and global cooperation.
Screen printing and digital printing are two common textile printing methods. Screen printing uses a woven mesh screen to support an ink-blocking stencil and applies ink through the open areas of the screen onto the fabric below. Digital printing uses inkjet printing technology to place micro-sized ink droplets onto fabric directly from a computer design file. Both methods allow for localized color application and flexible designs, while digital printing enables very small minimum runs due to not requiring prepared screens. Key factors in choosing a printing method include design requirements, cost, minimum order quantities, and the desired finish.
Digital textile printing involves printing designs directly onto fabric from a computer without additional steps. It can print any design onto fabrics like cotton, polyester, and silk. The fabrics must be pre-treated to hold the ink better and achieve high quality. Common inks used are acid, disperse, and reactive inks for different fiber types. The printing process involves pre-treatment, design modification, printing with a digital textile printer, and finishing steps like steaming.
This document provides an overview of garment dyeing, including its definition, benefits, popularity, and basic processes. Some key points:
- Garment dyeing involves dyeing fully assembled garments and provides benefits like quick response to fashion trends and improved inventory control.
- It is defined as dyeing cut and sewn garments, knitted fabrics, woven fabrics, or mixed fabrics.
- The popularity of garment dyeing is increasing globally due to its lower costs and faster production times compared to traditional fabric dyeing methods.
- The basic process involves pretreating garments, dyeing them using direct or reactive dyes, washing to fix the dyes, and applying soften
Tie dye is a technique for dyeing fabrics that results in interesting colorful patterns by crumpling, pleating, or folding fabric and tying it with string. Common fabrics used are cotton t-shirts, silk scarves, bed sheets, and clothing. The document describes several tie dye techniques including making stripes by rolling the fabric and tying loops, spirals by folding the fabric around a central point, dots by tying small pinched sections, floral dots by grouping pinched sections, and the accordion fold technique. The easiest method is crumpling the fabric randomly and wrapping strings all over it without following a pattern.
This presentation summarizes a study on sampling procedures for a garments industry. It introduces the presenters and their program of study, and identifies their thesis supervisor. It then discusses the importance of samples in attracting buyers and different types of samples including fit samples, photo shoot samples, and pre-production samples. Specific sample-making procedures for buyers like H&M, Prenatal, Kappa, and CNA are outlined. Common stages like fit samples, second fit samples, and pre-production samples are also described. The presentation concludes that sampling is critical to the garment industry and controlling quality at the sample development stage.
This document discusses garment sampling for a garments industry. It covers the importance of sampling in securing orders from buyers and outlines the sampling process. Key points include:
- Sampling allows buyers to assess quality and production capabilities before placing large orders. Different sample types serve different purposes throughout the process.
- There are many steps in the sampling process from initial prototype samples to size samples to shipment samples. Samples must meet buyer specifications.
- The document outlines the sampling workflow and types of samples including proto, salesman, size, and wash samples. It also discusses related processes like patternmaking, cutting, and sewing.

LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like
Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems

Changes in vegetation cover refer to variations in the distribution, composition, and overall
structure of plant communities across different temporal and spatial scales. These changes can
occur natural.
How to Make a Field Mandatory in Odoo 17Celine George
In Odoo, making a field required can be done through both Python code and XML views. When you set the required attribute to True in Python code, it makes the field required across all views where it's used. Conversely, when you set the required attribute in XML views, it makes the field required only in the context of that particular view.
