The paper discusses codebook design strategies for downlink multi-user multiple input single output (MU-MISO-OFDM) systems using limited feedback from channel state information (CSI) to improve system capacity. It compares scalar quantization with vector quantization, emphasizing the lower complexity of scalar schemes, while highlighting the need for efficient codebook generation methods. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed scalar quantization strategies are computationally efficient and maintain competitive performance in MIMO systems employing precoding techniques.
