Objective

• Understand the operations of a company
  from HR, Marketing and Financial
  perspectives.
• Understand the application of concepts
  and management practices (and apply)
  that you have been taught:
  –Marketing Management practices
  –Financial Management practices
  –Human Resource Management practices
CRS - Modus Operandi
• Each student to select a company of her/his
  choice and get the company name approved by
  me/Ms Sirisha before 5:30 PM today.
• Collect data, analyze and prepare report.
• Proforma document format provided.
• No two students to select the same company.
• Reports to be submitted by 24th Jan, 2012, 12.00
  Noon to Ms Sirisha.
• Presentations will be scheduled any day
  thereafter at random. Any student may be asked
  to present on any day.
• Presentations will be for 15 minutes and Q/A for
  10 minutes thereafter for each student.
Evaluation
• Attendance and Participation by way of question
  and answers: 10+20 Marks.
  –Less that 80% attendance will call for ZERO
   marks.
  –Less than 50% participation in QA will call for
   ZERO marks.
• Reports and presentation: 35+35 Marks
  –Originality, no cut-copy, relevance, scope
  –Coverage of Marketing, Financial, HR
   practices
Company Selection + Preparation
           ..Contd
• To be an Indian Company or a company of
  foreign origin with substantial Manufacturing/
  Assembly/Franchise base in India.
• Try to collect as much as possible from the
  Proforma Document. Plus:
• Size of the industry, Market share of different
  competitors, Marketing costs, Management
  practices.
• How do you look for management practices?
• Look at some questions at the end of each topic
  + Quizzes + read and contemplate as much as
  possible about the company
