3. VanLife App
The app is already
developed. The
crowdfunding project is to
fund improvements
including a social part of
the app to connect users
who own vans easier.

orldwide/description
● $21000 goal. Only $357 raised so far.
● Normal entrepreneurship. For profit.
● Focus is to get funding to improve the
app. Mainly to create a social aspect to
connect users around the world.
● The goal is unclear what they are going
to do with the money.
● The motivators to invest is just receiving
a thank you message from the app.

5. Likes/dislikes
Dislikes:
-Purpose is unclear. No explanation
what the app does now, and what it
will do if it has the funding. Just some
general ideas.
-No visuals. No pictures or videos to
catch the eye.
-As of now, there is only one person
who has donated to the project...
Likes:
I like the idea of having
an app to connect the
vanlife community. I
would use it.
6. Likes/dislikes on the video
There was no video.
After looking up the actual app
that is available on the app
store, I learned more about the
project. I like the project alot but it took me researching it on my
own to be able to find the information I was looking for. If it had
a good informational video about what the possibilities could be
with this app then I think alot more people would invest in it.
Right now it is less than 1% funded.
7. Reasons for Failure
1. The creator of the app needs a team. He made the app by himself in his van,
but he hasn’t marketed it at all, he doesn’t know how to improve it, he just has
the “Vision” part of the process.
2. No motive to invest. You either need it to be a cause that people want to
invest in with an emotionally stirring video. Or have some sort of product that
you can give to investors as a thank you for helping. The app had neither.
3. Not enough detail on the page. I had to dig to find the details of what he
wanted to do with the app. No investor is going to do that much work, need to
present the information in a clear simple way up front.
10. Rewards
● The rewards are what made this project so
successful. Not only did they have an
awesome product, they found ways to give it
at various prices to encourage more
donations.
● Various reward stages.$6, $10, 15, $40,
$55, and 2 different $90 reward packages.
● Each of these are very appealing and make
the investor want to invest more, so they get
more back. I even thought about “Donating”
so I could try one once they are being sold.
●
11. Things I liked
● The product design seems simple to
use, and has the research to back up
how effective it is.
● It is affordable
● The video and research is very well
done.
● Their team has been working on this
product for years, it is just now at the
end stages.
12. The Video was
extremely well
put together. It
was similar to an
advertisement
you would see on
tv. It made you
feel like you
wanted to buy the
product.
THE VIDEO
13. Why it was a success
The whole package is just very
professional and well put
together. Because the
presentation is so professional,
it gives me the impression that
the product is also a very
professional product.
