CrossMark Update
Crossmark is a metadata system that informs about the publication status of research documents, including types of updates like corrections, retractions, and new editions. Publishers are encouraged to adopt best practices for Crossmark implementation, including creating a policy page and depositing relevant metadata. As of the latest data, Crossmark has achieved significant use with over 3.4 million deposits and numerous status updates from more than 300 publishers.
