What is student support and progression?
 The efforts of an institution to provide necessary assistance

Strategies to be adopted
• ⮚ Organize Campus Recruitment Training programmes for the students for
better placements.
• ⮚ The Training and Placement Cell (TPC) shall collect periodic feedback
from the employers and initiate measures accordingly.
• ⮚ TPC shall conduct mock Interviews for the students with the help of
experts before the formal interview.
• ⮚ The placements made through other HEIs placement drives, job melas,
pool campus interviews and special recruitment drives shall also be
considered
• ⮚ Motivational talks can be arranged by subject experts so that students
can create interest in pursuing higher studies.
• ⮚ Arrange additional classes for entrance tests so that more students can
get admission into higher studies.

• ⮚ Physical Education Department shall conduct more number of
sports and games events.
• ⮚ Cultural and Literary Associations shall organize more number of
competitions.
• ⮚ The Physical Education Department and the cultural cell can chalk
out the plan of action at the beginning of the academic year to
organize various events
Strategies to be adopted to enhance quality levels
• ● The Institute should support students by creating facilities for mechanisms like
guidance cell, placement cell, grievance redressal cell etc.
• ● Designing of special inputs for needy students with learning difficulties can be
encouraged.
• ● Provision for Bridge courses and Value added courses
• ● Identification of students who are benefited through scholarships, freeships and
other means of financial assistance.
• ● Maintain a record of student progression vertically from one level of education
to next higher level and adopt good practices to attain optimal progression and
employment.
• ● Promoting inclusive practices for social justice and better stakeholder
relationships.
• ● Encouraging students’ participation in activities and providing facilities for
developing various skills and competencies and foster holistic development.

matters, student support as well as mobilization of resources – both financial and
non-financial.

committees.

• ● Building strong Alumni Association to strengthen the institute in various
aspects.

Links/documents relating to placement cell such as brochures, tie-ups etc., can be uploaded. Upload supporting data for students who have joined for higher education in prescribed format for the assessment period. The placements through HEI placement drive and through pool campus interviews / recruitment drives at other colleges can also be considered. If the data is large, DVV partner will ask for the appointment orders of the selected students. Multiple offers to the same students to be counted once. Proofs like, admission letters or identity cards or higher degree certificates for selected students progressing to higher education will be asked by DVV partner. In 5.2.1.2 only passed students are to be considered from the data given in 2.6.3.1. If same student has multiple offers it has to be counted only once. Appearing/passing competitive exams for higher education cannot be considered as progression to higher education unless students get admitted.

Strategies to be adopted • ⮚ Organize Campus Recruitment Training programmes for the students for better placements. • ⮚ The Training and Placement Cell (TPC) shall collect periodic feedback from the employers and initiate measures accordingly. • ⮚ TPC shall conduct mock Interviews for the students with the help of experts before the formal interview. • ⮚ The placements made through other HEIs placement drives, job melas, pool campus interviews and special recruitment drives shall also be considered • ⮚ Motivational talks can be arranged by subject experts so that students can create interest in pursuing higher studies. • ⮚ Arrange additional classes for entrance tests so that more students can get admission into higher studies.
