3. WOMEN ENPOWERMENT
In Canada, 62% of university graduates in 2008 were women
Almost 45% of girls in India are married before
they turn 18. All countries in South Asia were
ranked better for women than India and now it
is time for us to empower women and lead
india to the new path of developement.
In United States,at least 60%of masters degrees earned in 2008 were by women
In Australia ,almost 36% of parliamentary seats in Australia are held by women.
In Germany, 83 years of age is the average life expectancy for women.

4. THE EXISTING CHALLENGES
Indian girl child aged 1-5 years is 75% more likely to die than a male child
Woman is raped once in 20 minutes and 10%of all crimes in India are
of women abuse.
Women form 48% of India’s population but constitute only 29%of
the national workforce.
A World Bank study on financial inclusion estimates that only 26%
of women in India have access to formal credit compared to 37% in
other developing economies.

5. EXISTING SOLUTIONS
Government introduced PASCO ACT for empowering
women.
Many new changes are done under CRPC article 376
that made laws more strict hence ensuring women
safety.
Many organizations such as SEWA are working for
women empowerment .

6. DEFECTS AND SOLUTIONS
Many states provide scholarship to girls and some even grant
them with new technologies like laptops but as per our view the
government should concentrate on increasing education
standard in urban area with that very budget .
Many helpline services ,organizations are established for women
safety but they only don’t work efficiently in urban areas the
government should take measures to make these organizations
effective even in rural areas.
Laws are upgraded to ensure women safety but delay in
judgments makes it difficult to punish the culprit hence all the
problems should be transferred to fast track courts.

violence in her lifetime.

8. SOLUTION
There should be a separate compulsory subject that concentrates on
the present rights given to women and should also cover the
punishments if these rights are disobeyed so that both girls become
aware of their rights and boys get to know “How a wrong step can
create mess to their life.”
Women are believed to be quiet strong hence we should use their skill
in productive manner for example women should be encouraged to
form community groups and generate employment like tailoring,
teaching, nursing this will lead to overall development of the society.
Usually in India most of the women are not skilled to compete the
world ,face the interviews etc special services should be provided to
post metric girls like better speaking skills, ability to face interviews.
It should be made compulsion to schools nation wide to teach self
defense to girls above 12 years.

9. SOLUTION
Girls often spend large amounts of time doing things such as caring for
younger siblings, fetching water, collecting firewood for fuel or preparing food
- sometimes at the cost of their schooling or health. Technology has a role to
play here. There are loads of really great innovations around, such as solar
lamps, fuel-efficient stoves and low-cost water pumps, which can save huge
amounts of time and effort for girls, which means they have more time to
study.
There are a host of programmes that use girl safe spaces, for example. These
are regular meetings for girls in a safe environment with an older female
mentor from the local community, where girls can get access to information
and training on things such as vocational skills. These programmes
increasingly organise savings groups too. It's really difficult for a girl to have a
savings account with a bank because they're not generally considered a big-
enough customer.
