Thank You
Activity
You are going to write
composition about the picture,
and you will use imagery,
diction, figures of speech, and
specific experiences to evoke
meaningful responses from your
readers. Use your cursive
handwriting.
• Imagery means to use figurative
language to represent objects, actions,
and ideas in such a way that it appeals
to our physical senses.
• Diction is being able to choose words
that exact instead of indefinite, vivid
instead of trite, specific instead of
general, proper instead of
inappropriate.
• Simile states a
comparison by using
the words like or as.
• Metaphor implies a
comparison by simply
saying that one thing
is another.
