Creating an Ethernet cable is a 10-step process that requires specific tools and materials. The necessary materials include unshielded twisted pair cable and RJ-45 connectors. Tools needed are a crimping tool to attach the connectors to the cable, wire strippers to remove cable jackets, and a cable tester to check connectivity. The 10 steps are to strip the cable, untwist the wire pairs, arrange the wires in the connector properly, cut excess wire, push the wires into the connector head, double check wiring, crimp the connector, optionally crimp the other end, and test the cable with a cable tester.
At the end of this learning module the student are able to:
○ Crimp Ethernet wire and RJ-45 to establish computer network connection.
○ Understand the differences straight through and crossover type of network cabling.
○ Learn the T568A and T568B pin out of twisted pair wiring.

Pinpoint the leading causes of downtime with LinkIQ Cable and Network TesterTranscat
The network is down and you’ll likely have to take it apart, only to find out that the source of the problem is a cabling issue. Since 40% of downtime is caused by issues such as bad connectors, broken cables, and excessive cable length, this new tester is a simple way to quickly identify the source of network downtime and quickly get your systems up and running.
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

Synthetic Fiber Construction in lab .pptxPavel ( NSTU)
Synthetic fiber production is a fascinating and complex field that blends chemistry, engineering, and environmental science. By understanding these aspects, students can gain a comprehensive view of synthetic fiber production, its impact on society and the environment, and the potential for future innovations. Synthetic fibers play a crucial role in modern society, impacting various aspects of daily life, industry, and the environment. ynthetic fibers are integral to modern life, offering a range of benefits from cost-effectiveness and versatility to innovative applications and performance characteristics. While they pose environmental challenges, ongoing research and development aim to create more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives. Understanding the importance of synthetic fibers helps in appreciating their role in the economy, industry, and daily life, while also emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and innovation.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

2. Materials
Unshielded Twisted Pair
(UTP) Cable
RJ-45 Connector
Short for Registered Jack-45, an RJ-45 is an 8-pin
connection used for Ethernet network adapters.
This connector most commonly connects to the end of Cat
5 cable, which connects between a computer network card and
a network device, such as a network router
3. Tools
Crimping tool
this tool is used to connect RJ-45, RJ-11
and other connectors to the end of a cable.
Some crimping tools have a built-in wire
cutter near the handle.
Wire Stripper
A wire stripper is a hand tool designed to
remove the protective covering, or jacket,
from electrical wires.
4. Equipment
Cable Tester
A network cable tester is a useful device
that allows you to check the continuity of
the cable to figure out if the signal is strong
enough to get through to the network.
11. Step 7. Push the head into the open space of
the crimping tool and squeeze it hard.
12. Step 8. Open the crimping tool and remove your
newly-crimped Ethernet connector.
13. Step 9. Repeat the crimping process on the
other side of the cable if you're making a
completely new cable.
14. Step 10. Plug one end of the cable into the two-port end of the
cable tester, and the other end into the other part of the tester
with the graphic display window.
Editor's Notes
Use your cable strippers at about 1-2 inches from the end of the cable to remove the outer jacket.
This can be done just like a regular twist-tie on a loaf of bread, but with four of them of different colors.
For this scenario, we’ll be making a straight-through cable, which has both ends of the cable with the same alignment of wires, so it's easy enough to do. Since this is the first cable, we'll consult the cheat sheet to know what order we're aligning in!
Once you've untwisted the wires, you'll have a superfluous amount of copper wiring left; we don't need this much, but it's good to have it in the previous step to help in aligning the colors properly. Use the wire-cutting scissors to cut these off.
Be careful not to bend the wires while pushing them in or you run the risk of creating a bad cable. You also don't want too little or too much wire left in the head; there's no definite length necessary, but it's pretty obvious to tell if there's too much cable or not enough. A short length of the jacket should be up the RJ45 head; use this knowledge as a reference.
(Consult your cheat sheet if needed!)
If you don't crimp the cable all the way, the head may come off.
If you're repairing one end, this won't apply to you, so move on.
Turn it on and listen for the beep. If it beeps once, you successfully made an Ethernet cable; if it beeps twice, some part of the cable is messed up and needs repairing. Depending on the error, the cable may or may not still be usable.
