Zac Coleman documented the process of designing a CP (communication piece). He experimented with different shapes for the header, settling on a hexagon with a line through it. He then mapped out the layout using boxes to indicate spacing and started adding colors and fonts. Finally, he inserted graphic elements to complete the CP with the desired bold numbering effect and rendering it finished.

2. Here I was creating varying shapes in which I wanted to change the ‘O’ to in the
header.

3. Here I had finally decided on the hexagon and was adding in a
line through it for added effect.

4. Here im changing the font of my header to try
and make it more appealing to my target
audience.

5. Next I actually used a box to mark out the sizes in which I
wanted the gaps between each one and effectively
mapped out my CP.

6. Once it was all mapped out I then started colouring the
background boxes that I wanted coloured.

7. After that I started to add in the anchorage and
colour the text.

8. Along with the last step I proceeded to change the font
as well for my desired effect.

9. After that I turned to my advertisement and was
changing the colour and font.

10. Here im changing the font of my body copy to
what I wanted it to be.

11. Here I actually changed the font colour but also changed the
outline to give them a ‘bold’ effect that I was after for the
numbering.

12. Here I am inserting my final pieces which are
the graphic features rendering my CP finished.
