Caitlyn enjoyed a week where she learned about continuing to learn new things to keep her mind growing, including a video of a girl overcoming brain surgery through hard work and determination. She found an activity charting her time over 48 hours to be eye opening in realizing she could be more productive. Caitlyn hopes to continue learning about time management and personal growth, as nursing is always evolving and she enjoys learning. Her dreams are to get her BSN, work as a NICU nurse, buy a house, travel, meet her life partner, have children, and ideally work at a top level NICU able to care for any baby.

2. Favorite Week
• My favorite week was probably the week were we learned about how you
should continue to learn new things to keep your mind growing. The
video of the little girls learning to live after her major brain surgery was
very influential. Seeing her push herself in order to reach the her goals is
very inspiring. Knowing that as long as you work very hard to pursue
your dreams, with enough time and education you can do anything you
set your mind to.

3. Favorite Activity
• I enjoyed the activity assignment where we had to show what we did for
the last 48 hours and chart it. The chart was the four quadrants. We had
to divide up everything we had done for that time and rank in
importance. This activity was very eye opening to how much of my time
is already called for. This activity made me realize I should be more
productive with my time off from work to enjoy life outside of work and
school.

4. Future Learning
• I hope to learn more on my own time management and how to continue to
grow your mind. Continually to learn and grow as a person is very
important to me. I love to learn new things. Things about life and my
career. Nursing is constantly growing and evolving. It is probably best
that I enjoy learning.

5. Lessons of the Course
• During this course I have
learned to enjoy every little
moment and make it count. The
things included within this
course will lead every student to
a stronger education. Showing
different learning styles allows
us to see that everyone learns in
a different way.
• I chose college to become a nurse.
I started taking college classes as
a sophomore in high school. I
have always been eager to learn
new things. College was no
different in that way for me. I
have always wanted to be a
nurse ever since kindergarten.
This is the dream. I am willing to
do whatever it takes to make my
dream a reality.

6. Dreams Fulfilled
Future:
• I will get my BSN. Get a job as a NICU nurse. Work with amazing
people and have wonderful friends. I hope to travel more when I am out
of school. Hope to buy a house and make it a home. I hope to meet the
love of my life. I have always wanted children. Even prayed about being
a foster mom for some time now.
• I would love to work at a level IV NICU. This type of faclity can take any
baby at any gestational age with any issues possible. They never turn
any baby away. That’s the dream.
