O (Outstanding) 10
A+(Excellent) 9
A(Very Good) 8
B+(Good) 7
B(Above Average) 6
C(Average) 5
P (Pass) 4
F(Fail) 0

14. CALCULATING YOUR CREDIT POINTS
SGPA (Si) = Σ(Ci x Gi) / ΣCi
where Ci is the number of credits of the ith course
and Gi is the grade point scored by the student in
the ith course.
CGPA = Σ(Ci x Si) / Σ Ci
where Si is the SGPA of the ith semester and Ci is
the total number of credits in that semester.
The SGPA and CGPA shall be rounded off to 2
decimal points and reported in the transcripts.
SGPA (Si) = Σ(Ci x Gi) / ΣCiSGPA (Si) = Σ(Ci x Gi) / ΣCi
15. HOW TO CALCULATE CREDITS
Course Credit Grade letter Grade point Credit
point.
(Credit x
Grade)
Course 1 3 A 8 3x8=24
Course 2 3 A 8 3 x 8 = 24
Course3 4 B+ 6 3x 6=18
Course4 3 O 10 10x3=30
Course 5 3 C 5 5x3=15
Course 6 4 B 6 4x6=24
20 139
Thus SGPA is 139/20=6.95
16. ILLUSTRATION FOR SGPA
Semester CREDIT SGPA
Semester 1 20 6.9
Semester 2 25 5.6
Semester 3 26 6.0
Semester 4 26 6.3
Semester 5 25 8.0

Thus, CGPA = 20 x 6.9 + 22 x 7.8 + 25 x 5.6 + 26 x 6.0 + 26 x 6.3 + 25 x 8.0
