2. Why costume in important..

In my music video, the costume which
the character wears helps to represent
the target audience and the
stereotypical listener, I hope that the
main characters looks will help to
establish a bond between the character
and the audience so they feel more
engaged when watching the music
video.

3. Costume theme

There are different types of themes
which have passed through my mind
when planning the music video, I have
finally came to a conclusion that the
characters costume theme will be
casual/formal to make the character look
intellectual however shows aspects that
the audience can relate to.

4. Inspiration?

I have took inspiration from the band
which I have used for my music video as
it allows me to use their already
established costume type and use it to
entice the target audience. Throughout
Fenech-Soler’s music videos they wear
quite casual clothing however it is quite
quirky, this has inspired me to plan my
costumes around this.

5. Top

I have chosen that the main character
will wear a shirt which is un-tucked and
with the top button loose. This helps to
represent the theme of formal yet
casual.
Something similar to this is
what I have planned to use,
however the colour of the shirt
would not be purple, it would
either be white or grey as that
is a quite common look.

6. Bottom

Following the casual/formal style, I have
decided that the main character will
wear jeans along with the untucked shirt
as that is quite a common look in men
which is what I am trying to get.

7. Shoes

Any type of formal footwear will be
appropriate for the costume, I am not
looking at using any type of casual
footwear as it will make the character
look to casual.

8. Tie
I have chosen the main character to wear
a loose tie throughout the music video
as it helps to represent casual wear
within a male character.
