16. – Fundraising for Habitat for Humanity in New Orleans
– Corporate events team responsible for:
‐ Collecting tools/cash donations nationwide
‐ Setting up Habitat for Humanity Day in New Orleans
‐ Total donation was $15K + 8 hours of manual labor from 48 XO employees
– Habitat for Humanity volunteers have worked for years to build new
homes for those in need. Their professional tools need replacement, and
XO has stepped up to help.
– XO Q1 New Orleans contest winners will be volunteering their time with
the New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity. Be a part of this effort by
donating new, unused tools. Each office or market has been assigned a
different tool to collect, so work as a team to hit your goal and earn the
chance for a free office lunch!

17. – XO Business Services feels strongly that we should be giving back to our
nationwide communities as often as we are able.
– Our excellent nationwide-reach is one on the benefits we sell to our
customers, but it is also something we can use to make a difference in each of
the markets we reside in.
– This year we have decided to launch the 2011 BSU School Supplies Drive from
August 1 - 26, helping children in need receive the items needed for going
back to school this fall. These items will be contributed to various
organizations in each market, directly affecting those around you.
– Of course we will be rewarding your office's participation with some GREAT
prizes, so get ready for some competition!
– How You Can Contribute:
‐ If every XO BSU employee each brought in just three items, we will contribute over
5,500 items to children in need. Get started today to do your part! Bring in your new,
unused school supply donation to your office August 1 – 26; each office has designated
an Office Lead for the supply drive. The Office Lead has volunteered their time to
organize a location to collect the items and answer any questions you have. See the list
of suggested items below or on printable office flyers.
‐ Each week, your office donations can be taken to any area collection spots. Choose as
an office where your donations are needed. Many area businesses collect prior to the
school season, such as: Banks, Starbucks, Staples, Malls, Churches and more. You can
select different locations each week.
