Chlorhexidine (CHX) is a broad spectrum antiseptic that reduces bacterial colonization on the umbilical stump of newborns. JSI is assisting the Government of Nepal and other partners, to reduce neonatal mortality by scaling up the use of chlorhexidine for umbilical cord care.
