The document summarizes the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S), which will provide climate data and information to support climate change adaptation and mitigation policies in Europe. The C3S aims to be an authoritative source of climate information through establishing a Climate Data Store of essential climate variables and sectoral information systems. Initial procurements will support the development of the data store, seasonal forecasts, sectoral climate indicators and outreach activities. The C3S will be implemented in stages from 2015-2020 to ultimately provide over 30 climate variables and support over 8 sectors.
