Idealism emphasizes the importance of mental and spiritual domains in education as well as self-realization, eternal values like truth and beauty, and the role of the teacher and bookish knowledge. However, it is limited by its focus on abstract concepts over practical skills, lack of emphasis on the child in the learning process, and not incorporating modern technologies into the system.

 Self-realisation at the aim of education.
 Importance to the role of teacher in the
educative process.
 Importance to bookish knowledge.
 Importance to eternal values (Truth,
Goodness and beauty).
 Emphasis on personal development of child.
LIMITATIONS OF IDEALISM
 Too much emphasis on mind and spirituality.
 Over emphasis on bookish knowledge.
 Less importance to child in the educative
process.
 Concepts like spirit, mind, soul etc are
abstract in nature.

2.  Modern concepts like Information and
Communication Technology(ICT) doesnot find
a place in idealist system of education.
 No freedom is given to the child.
