1. Continued Accomplishments during this position:
Duties performed as DBA:
• To keep below budget, I recommended & implemented an in house based
Operational Reporting system to support the transactional process department.
Rather than incurring high costs for custom code by the vendor, I managed a team of
developers in designing our internal SQL Server data warehouse. We coded &
scheduled DTS packages & Stored Procedures to extract data from the UNIX Sybase
databases and then loaded SQL Server tables & views daily.
Duties performed as developer/technical liaison with business:
• LORS, Lending Operational Web Reporting System, is built using the .net
framework . The security as well as the LORS Project conforms to the Merrill Lynch
Technical Platform Standards. This is the 2nd system written in .net at Merrill
Lynch.
• For presentation, the web reports are written in Crystal Reports 8.5.
• Supporting documentation of the development from design to
implementation has been compiled & has served as detailed reference for both
upper management & new .net projects.
• I was instrumental in the writing of the business requirements. My
involvement & true understanding of both the business & technical scope of this
project has enabled us to release the reporting system among other tasks 2 months
before schedule.
• When necessary, I have jumped in and coded to keep schedule & team on
track.
Securities Based Lending Intranet Sites
Duties performed as developer:
• Code, Maintain & Troubleshoot all Intranet & Extranet Sites for CTO of the
ML Bank USA Corp.
• Apply mandated standards to all development sites using (ASP,HTML ,
JavaScript, VBScript in Interdev , Databases (SQL Server 2000)
• Designed & implemented .net Security to all sites using Site Minder by
Netegrity.
