3. Enhancements to Upgrades
▪ Move towards supporting one release per year (the .11
release)
▪ We will be maintaining a PTFS Europe branch which follows
the community version of Koha
▪ This allows us to cherry-pick bugs from upstream, add fixes,
security updates, or add features which we know are coming
upstream in the next release

4. Benefits to this approach
▪ We are working in a known environment
▪ We can manage and supply security bugs quickly to this
release
▪ In the long term it will make upgrades quicker
▪ Most customers will be running the same version of the
software
▪ Where possible, customisations can be added to the
repository and are therefore potentially available to all (even if
not used)

5. Operational enhancements
▪ Infrastructure Manager will continue to schedule and carry out
upgrades
▪ We will assign someone from Customer Services to be in
touch prior to the upgrade to assist with testing and feedback
▪ New testing checklist that will be shared with you and a
feedback form for you to record any issues during your testing
▪ We will be producing potted “What’s new” release notes
consolidated enhancements across versions

6. What is new in 18.11 ?
▪ Ability to duplicate existing order lines to a given basket
▪ Add the ability to add adjustments to an invoice
▪ Separate permission for managing currencies & exchange rates
▪ Save order line's creator
▪ Shibboleth authentication for staff client
▪ Stock Rotation
▪ Add ability to email receipts for account payments and write-offs
▪ Ability to create charts for SQL reports

7. ▪ ILL updates and fixes
▪ Koha to MARC mappings: Allow multiple mappings per
kohafield (for say 260/RDA 264)
▪ Configure default indicators in frameworks
▪ Circulation page layout and design update
▪ GDPR: Add a consent field for processing personal data in
account menu and self-registration
▪ Display acquisition details on the subscription detail page
▪
