TASK
At the end of the quarter, you are expected to submit this
performance task on or before September 10, 2021.
Our President Rodrigo Duterte is fond of saying many words
that sometimes people interpreted it differently or negatively. Later
after, his spokesperson defends by saying/clarifying what does the
president really mean.
As a media personnel, you are tasked to write an editorial
about this. You will look for one message of the president which
gone viral and given different interpretations by the people. You will
analyse if the defence of the Malacaňang is valid on what does the
president actually mean. In analyzing the message, be able to use
context clues and signal words. Send your editorial in Schoology.

Words are distinct element of speech, communication and writing that
functions as a principal carrier of meaning. These hold a strong command and power to
humankind, since their meaning can do a lot of things and changes to people’s lives,
may it be good or bad. Right now, the world is empowered and filled with influencer and
some of these are pessimist influencer. They tend to impart their negativity to other
people, and since words are very powerful these easily seeps to people’s being.
But God told us to talk only with good things and let no joyless words come
out of our mouths for it does not give hope to those who hear. In Ephesians 4:29, It
says “Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for
building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.”
