This document describes the stages of layout design for a magazine page. Stage 1 adds additional background images to make the page more visually interesting. Stage 2 adds sub-titles to categories to help users find content. Stage 3 adds columns of text under the categories. Stage 4 makes page numbers and titles more prominent. Stage 5 adds captions to images to identify the articles. Stage 6 adds page numbers to images to advertise related articles. Stage 7 adds extra text in a contrasting color to fill empty space.

1. Title Layout

2. A clear title has been added to present the page clearly and what
the page offers. Also, an image in the background which I have
blended into the background with using the blending tool to add a
contrast of colours and add to the overall house theme of the
magazine.
Stage 1 Stage 2
I have added a total of another four images to build up the page
and create a more busier look to attract the demographic. The
images all link with the artists that are presented on the front
cover or either on the page.

3. Stage 3
Sub-titles have been added to identify what the columns I will
later add represent, making it easier for the user to look for what
they are interested in as it would come under a certain category.
Also, the text background boxes make the sub-titles clear to what
they are there for as they stand out and make them easier to read
for the reader.
Stage 4
Text has been added into columns under the categories that the magazine
provides. The columns create order and tidiness to the page with does
attract the demographic and make it easier and less over-whelming to
read. The page numbers are easily identified as they are underlined, as
well as the page titles and the extra information is clearly separate by
making the titles a bigger and bolder font than the information.

4. Stage 5
Titles have been added to the images to make them more
identifiable and certain words will attract the reader into
the article other than just the image. The text is clear and
bold to read against the image and the making it easier to
see which caption links with each image.
Stage 6
Page numbers have been added to the all of the images on the
page so that the reader can quickly see what page the article is
offered on quickly if they are firstly interested in the image.
These page numbers on the images help advertise these articles
more than others which is why the only articles with images and
large page numbers are the most significant.

5. Stage 7
Extra information and text has now been added to the page
to fill any negative space. I have made this text the same
green colour as the top image to make it contrast with the
rest of the text as it is added extra's.
