Role of Computers in teaching
1. It is used to solve many problems
by experiment and direct observation.
2. It is used to define their own
problems, suggest methods, and accept
their own findings.
Role of Computers in elementary school teaching:
3. In teaching and learning situations it helps
to develop critical thinking.
4. It helps them to find out how things work in
our natural world.
5. It develops skills in methods of teaching
and encourage for scientific inquiry.
6. It develops curiosity about the total
environment.
7. Students will understand the basic
principles of Computer.
8. Children develop the skill of careful
observation and attitude of questioning and
exploring.
9. It helps them to appreciate the aesthetic
aspects of science.
10. It helps them to test their hypotheses, to
plan experiments, to make observations, etc.
11. It helps them to have a basic
understanding and use of the biological and
physical environment.
Role of teaching Computer
Science in Secondary Schools:
1. It helps the pupils to acquire scientific
knowledge.
2. It develops critical thinking.
3. It develops the student's ability and
confidence.
4. It develops the skill in the use of methods
and process of computer.
5. It develops cognitive abilities such as
observing, comparing, classifying,
hypothesizing, inferring, etc.
6. It helps the students to understand the
physical environment.
7. It helps them to understand the basic
scientific facts, concepts, and principles.
8. It develops ability in using Instruments
and problem solving skills.
9. It helps them develop scientific literary,
scientific attitudes such as open
mindedness.
10. It helps them to involve in creative activities,
make the best use of leisure time and to be
aware of the opportunities for employment.
11. It helps them to maintain their physical
health and well being.
12. It helps them to develop the problem-solving
skills.
13. It helps them develop habits of accuracy,
honesty, self-control, truth and self-confidence.
Role of Teaching Computer in
Higher Secondary Schools
1. It helps to acquire knowledge about
scientific facts, principles and procedures
that are used in every day life.
2. It helps to apply scientific knowledge in
day-to-day life-situations.
3. It helps to develop a scientific thinking.
4. It helps to develop simple experimental and
practical skills necessary in daily life.(The
student manipulates the apparatus performs the
experiment, records the observation and draw
inference).
5. It helps to develop appreciation for
Computer in nature and is impact on society.
6. It develops interest in the study of other
Science subjects.
Role of Computers in learning
Introduction:
Learning begins at home.
Children learn to speak languages, to manipulate
symbols, to find out reasons before they reach
school.
Parents can play a higher conscious role in the
process.
The way they support a child's effort to learn
can make the differences between success and
failure.
And now it is the era of computers and the
same story is also there.
The children who are well aware of computer
environment have bright future.
The most important of them that is all of
learning.

  • 1. Teaching of Computer science at different levels By Dr. I. Uma Maheswari iuma_maheswari@yahoo.co.in
  • 2. Role of Computers in teaching 1. It is used to solve many problems by experiment and direct observation. 2. It is used to define their own problems, suggest methods, and accept their own findings. Role of Computers in elementary school teaching:
  • 3. 3. In teaching and learning situations it helps to develop critical thinking. 4. It helps them to find out how things work in our natural world. 5. It develops skills in methods of teaching and encourage for scientific inquiry.

  • 5. 9. It helps them to appreciate the aesthetic aspects of science. 10. It helps them to test their hypotheses, to plan experiments, to make observations, etc. 11. It helps them to have a basic understanding and use of the biological and physical environment.
  • 6. Role of teaching Computer Science in Secondary Schools: 1. It helps the pupils to acquire scientific knowledge. 2. It develops critical thinking. 3. It develops the student's ability and confidence.
  • 7. 4. It develops the skill in the use of methods and process of computer. 5. It develops cognitive abilities such as observing, comparing, classifying, hypothesizing, inferring, etc. 6. It helps the students to understand the physical environment.
  • 8. 7. It helps them to understand the basic scientific facts, concepts, and principles. 8. It develops ability in using Instruments and problem solving skills. 9. It helps them develop scientific literary, scientific attitudes such as open mindedness.

  • 11. 4. It helps to develop simple experimental and practical skills necessary in daily life.(The student manipulates the apparatus performs the experiment, records the observation and draw inference). 5. It helps to develop appreciation for Computer in nature and is impact on society. 6. It develops interest in the study of other Science subjects.
  • 12. Role of Computers in learning Introduction: Learning begins at home. Children learn to speak languages, to manipulate symbols, to find out reasons before they reach school. Parents can play a higher conscious role in the process.
  • 13. The way they support a child's effort to learn can make the differences between success and failure. And now it is the era of computers and the same story is also there. The children who are well aware of computer environment have bright future. The most important of them that is all of learning.
