This document outlines the sections and components of a comprehensive geriatric assessment. Section 1 covers basic registration details and patient identification. Section 2 involves collecting a history from the patient regarding chief complaints, past medical history, medication use, social factors, and home environment. Section 3 is a 10 minute screening for common geriatric syndromes and functional status. Section 4 is a physical examination including vital signs, general examination, and a full body system examination.
