Adding and subtracting polynomials involves combining like terms. To add or subtract polynomials, identify like terms and combine them. For example, to add 12p^3 + 11p^2 + 8p^3, the like terms 12p^3 and 8p^3 are combined to get 20p^3, and 11p^2 is left unchanged. Polynomials can be added or subtracted either vertically by aligning like terms or horizontally by regrouping terms. The process is similar to adding and subtracting numbers.

This proposal suggests implementing a screening tool called Smarter Measure to determine students' readiness for online developmental education courses. Currently, developmental education retention rates are lower for online courses than face-to-face. LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like

Changes in vegetation cover refer to variations in the distribution, composition, and overall
structure of plant communities across different temporal and spatial scales. These changes can
occur natural.

Editor's Notes
Welcome! This overview describes Completion by Design, a new effort in support of student success in community colleges.
In the United States, nearly half of all college students are enrolled in community colleges.
They aspire to earn a degree or credential that prepares them for further education or success in the workplace.
Yet, a range of obstacles confront these students – and, the colleges that work so hard to shepherd them.
Low completion rates are of national concern: Lack of education impacts families and communities, as well as the economic and competitive strength of our country.
In response, community colleges across the country have renewed focuson raising student completion rates. Many adopt educational initiatives that now exist to help improve student success.
Completion by Design is a 5-year community college re-design effort, funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
Most unique about this effort is its comprehensive approach. Completion by Design facilitates a data-driven, holistic evaluation and improvement of systems, across the entire lifecycle of the student experience.
CDAT - the Completion By Design Assistance Team – serves as the hub for the initiative. It coordinates the National Assistance Team, and both partner closely with college personnel.
Together, we analyze the student’s full experience of the college, as a path across 4 phases:Connection, Entry, Progress, and, Completion.
Research shows that in each phase, a host of issues can arise. The result? A loss of momentum.
We help the colleges examine their own data – to understand exactly when, where and why students succeed, drop out, or simply languish.
Then, the colleges strengthen and integrate strategies that help students more quickly find or solidify their direction, and stay on track. The result? A gain in momentum.
Completion by Design is not a pilot program. It is not focused on just one aspect of change, nor on one specific student population.
As a result, it aligns well with or enhances other higher education efforts already under way.
In 2011, Completion by Design launched with 21 colleges across 4 states.
These colleges were selected for their:Pioneering vision, capacity to embrace the ambitious goals of Completion by Design, and their ability to serve as role models in their states.
All this makes Completion by Design an innovative catalyst for deep, systemic cultural change in community colleges across the country.
