What are Compelling Conversations? Regularly scheduled conversations between school leaders and teachers that will impact student achievement. Opportunity for school leaders and teacher to discuss each student and identify needs and the methods and resources needed to meet those needs.

How it’s done at Truman: Principals meet individually with each teacher for 20-30  minutes each quarter A substitute rotates to each class to allow the teacher time to meet with the principals LINK TO SAMPLE SCHEDULE Principals have Successmaker reports, CRT scores, “Pink & Blue Cards”  (INSERT LINK)
Teachers bring the following to the meeting: DRA and Word Analysis Scores Writing Assessment Scores Math Benchmark Assessment Scores Strength and Weakness Class Summary
At the meeting: Each student is discussed briefly The principal takes notes on a spreadsheet  LINK TO SPREADSHEET Discuss needed resources Discuss possible instructional strategies or materials for individuals or whole class
