Medigap policies are standardized supplemental private health insurance plans that help cover some costs that original Medicare doesn't. There are different plans labeled A through N that all must offer basic benefits but some offer additional coverage options. Insurance companies selling Medigap policies must offer Plan A and either Plan C or F, but don't have to offer every plan. The chart compares the different benefits covered by each Medigap plan.
