Adjectives describe a noun……

5. WHAT ADJECTIVES DO WE SEE IN THE STORY
yellow wheat

6. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU COMPARE 2
THINGS WITH AN ADJECTIVE?
When you have 2 nouns to compare with the same
adjective you add –er to the end of one of the
adjectives to show the comparison.
fat – fatter
thin – thinner
dark - darker
7. SOMETIMES WE HAVE 2 THINGS TO COMPARE

9. WHEN COMPARING 3 THINGS
When you compare 3 things with an adjective you
start with the adjective, then add –er to the 2nd
comparison and finally –est is added to the final
comparison.
cute – cuter – cutest
smooth – smoother- smoothest
wet – wetter - wettest
