Empty homes are predominantly in the most deprived
places, theoretically with low demand where there is a:
• High proportion of poorly
managed private rented
property
• Higher than average
unemployment
• Low educational attainment
• Low skills base
• Low aspiration and expectation

We join up the jigsaw by:

• 70% of our construction
team are former service users
• 14 full time apprentices created
from empty homes work
• Placements provided for people
at risk of exclusion
• Over 40 properties brought back
into use on behalf of registered
providers in 2012/13
• Funding in place to add 34 units
to our own stock
