DIvergence- A communication strategy of accentuating the
differences between you and another person
Counteraccommodation- Direct, intentional, and even hostile
ways of maximizing social distance
Social Distance- How similiar or different we are from
another person
Overaccommodation- Demeanining or
patronizing talk; excessive concern paid to vocal
clarity or amplification, message simplification
or repetition; similiar to divergence.
