QoS of Wi-Fi performance based on signal strength and channel for indoor camp...journalBEEI
The implementation of Wi-Fi on campuses brings huge benefits for campus users in communications and education development. Some campuses face existing poor quality of service (QoS) on the Wi-Fi performance which is also unjustified and issues on unsatisfied connections. This research aims to analyses the Wi-Fi performance of the campus network for three indoor access points. Signal strength, usage percentage, channel utilization, and the number of clients count per access points are measured. Results show that 56% is the highest signal percentage and the lowest signal percentage is at 1%. Access point of Ustudent is the highest at 53% and lowest at 38%. The highest signal strength of -45dBm is found and the other two are below by -2 dBm. The lowest signal strength is at -95 dBm. SSID CCNA_1 is identified has the best signal strength compared to other SSIDs because it runs on 5 GHz frequency. The most channels used are channels 1, 4, and 6. Respectively 151, 67, and 57 users are connected to Ustudent, UHotspot, and CCNA_1. This study is significant for the QoS in a campus network in providing good network services. Thus, the QoS on Wi-Fi performance is improvised, monitored and analyzed for continues supports users in the campus network successfully.
Cellular networks are overloaded by mobile data traffic because of fast growth of mobile broadband services and the widespread use of smart phones. Application of smartphone, laptops internet etc. are increasing day by day. All this is causing congestion problem. Data revenue problem is a major problem for the network operators. One of the solutions to alleviate this problem is the offloading of mobile data traffic from the cellular access technology to the Wi-Fi access network. Wi-Fi access point is widely deployed by customers or by the operators so can be easily used for offloading technique. This paper reviews the models and architecture of offloading in between LTE network and Wi-Fi access network. Limitations of using Wi-Fi as alternative access network is also discussed in this paper and brief of ANDSF is provided in the paper.

The target of the operation is to fulfill the demands of local services as cost efficiently and effectively as possible. Due to efficiency targets, Jokilaakso has been the forerunner of implementing modern data services that demand high availability. The natural impediment has been to include the most advanced and modern data connectivity platform in their vehicles.

1. Femtocells, which provides the benefits of scalability, automatic configuration and self-optimization.

The Rural Health Care Program, which includes the new Healthcare Connect Fund, provides funding to eligible health care providers (HCPs) for telecommunications and broadband services necessary for the provision of health care. The goal of the program is to improve the quality of health care available to patients in rural communities by ensuring that eligible HCPs have access to telecommunications and broadband services. Funding for the Rural Health Care Program is capped at $400 million annually.

E-rate is a federal program that provides discounts to schools and public libraries on Telecommunications, Internet access, and Internal Connections costs in order to make these services more affordable. There have been some big changes to E-rate since USAC launched the E-Rate Productivity Center(EPC) last year. This new online portal is the main point of entry for all future E-rate interactions. With your organizational account you can now use EPC to file forms, track your application status, communicate with USAC, and more.

Using nine months of access logs comprising 1.9
Billion sessions to BBC iPlayer, we survey the UK ISP ecosystem
to understand the factors affecting adoption and usage of a high bandwidth
TV streaming application across different providers.
We find evidence that connection speeds are important and that
external events can have a huge impact for live TV usage. Then,
through a temporal analysis of the access logs, we demonstrate
that data usage caps imposed by mobile ISPs significantly affect
usage patterns, and look for solutions. We show that product
bundle discounts with a related fixed-line ISP, a strategy already
employed by some mobile providers, can better support user
needs and capture a bigger share of accesses. We observe that
users regularly split their sessions between mobile and fixed-line
connections, suggesting a straightforward strategy for offloading
by speculatively pre-fetching content from a fixed-line ISP before
access on mobile devices.
