3. Electronic
Mail (email)

Used for easier mailing through the internet. (e.g., Yahoo! Mail,
Gmail, etc.)

Modern email operates across the Internet or other computer
networks.

Some mails have instant messaging, but both recipients are
required to be online. (e.g., Yahoo! Messenger, Skype, Viber, etc.)

4. Blog


A blog (a truncation of the expression web log) is a discussion or
informational site published on the World Wide Web and consisting
of discrete entries ("posts") typically displayed in reverse
chronological order (the most recent post appears first).

5. Online Chat


Online chats are application in which we need the use of internet.
Like I said earlier, we need both recipients to be online for them to
chat. If one of them is not online, you could leave a message to a
desired person.
Some applications are said to be dangerous depending on it’s
usage.

6. Social Bookmarking

A social bookmarking service is a centralized online service which
enables users to add, annotate, edit, and share bookmarks of web
documents.

7. URL

Also known as the Uniform Resource Locator or also known as web
address, particularly when used with HTTP

In most web browsers, the URL of a web page is displayed on top
inside an address bar. An example of a typical URL would be
"http://en.example.org/wiki/Main_Page"

8. Streaming

Streaming media is multimedia that is constantly received by and
presented to an end-user while being delivered by a provider. Its
verb form, "to stream", refers to the process of delivering media in
this manner; the term refers to the delivery method of the medium
rather than the medium itself.

9. Podcast

A podcast or netcast is a digital medium consisting of an episodic
series of audio, video, subscribed to and downloaded through web
syndication or streamed online to a computer or mobile device. The
word is a neologism and portmanteau derived from "broadcast" and
"pod" from the success of the iPod, as audio podcasts are often
listened to on portable media players.

10. VoIP

Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is a methodology and group of
technologies for the delivery of voice communications and
multimedia sessions over Internet Protocol (IP) networks, such as
the Internet. Other terms commonly associated with VoIP are IP
telephony, Internet telephony, voice over broadband (VoBB),
broadband telephony, IP communications, and broadband phone
service.

Wiki is an application in the

12. Social Networking

A social networking service is an online service, platform, or site
that focuses on facilitating the building of social networks or social
relations among people who, for example, share interests, activities,
backgrounds, or real-life connections. A social network service
consists of a representation of each user (often a profile), his/her
social links, and a variety of additional services. Most social network
services are web-based and provide means for users to interact
over the Internet, such as e-mail and instant messaging. Online
community services are sometimes considered as a social network
service, though in a broader sense, social network service usually
means an individual-centered service whereas online community
services are group-centered. Social networking sites allow users to
share ideas, activities, events, and interests within their individual
networks.

The World Wide Web (abbreviated as WWW or W3, commonly
known as the web) is a system of interlinked hypertext documents
accessed via the Internet. With a web browser, one can view web
pages that may contain text, images, videos, and other multimedia
and navigate between them via hyperlinks.

HTML or HyperText Markup Language is
the main mark-up language for creating
web pages and other information that can
be displayed in a web browser.
