Chronic Diarrhea
Diarrhea is divided into two types: Acute or Chronic. Acute diarrhea is defined as an alteration in
frequency, and consistency of stool evacuation (increased), that last for no more than 14 days ( 2
weeks ), and it may be associated with symptoms of nausea, abdominal cramping, and vomiting
(Thielman Guerrant, 2004). On the other hand, chronic diarrhea known also as Persistent diarrhea
stays for longer time.
Infectious diarrhea is the second cause of morbidity and mortality in the world. In addition, it leads to
other serious long term complications such as hemolytic uremic syndrome with renal failure that
followed by enterohemorrhagic E. coli infection. Also, Guillain Barré syndrome comes after C. jejuni

Animal Farm Historical Perspectives
Animal Farm Through a Historical Perspective
Oftentimes, examining a piece of literature art can be troublesome what insightful discovery is the
author trying to reveal? Is there a deeper, more profound truth to the on the surface details provided?
Is there a truth at all? To New Historicists, the truth of a past or foreign culture can never be confirmed
as established or unchangeable. At best, any understanding of the truth is a matter of interpretation
based on both the reader and the writer. Additionally, while the literary work under consideration does
indeed reflect the culture in which it was written, it also participates in the culture in which it was
written. In this complex level of historical perspective, culture and literature ... Show more content on

At last, the author reveals his undeniable truth; the pigs, at first preaching for the well being and
empowerment of all animals, have mutated to the very things the farm animals scorned tyrannical,
overruling, and oppressive. But more profound to this truth, however, is not Orwell s application of
this to the history of the Soviet Union, but his application to mankind. By venturing into detail the
malicious practices by the pigs, he offers an alarming, but critical, nature of humanity. The book
pictures its most poignant ironies in the instances in which Orwell portrays the corruption of Animalist
principles by those in power. For Animal Farm serves not so much to castigate dictatorship or tyranny
as to accuse the appalling hypocrisy of tyrannies that base themselves on, and owe their initial power
to, ideologies of emancipation and impartiality. The universal truth in our world is that one with
absolute power, who rules in a dictatorship, cannot effectively manage and justify a successful nation.
Without clear opposition, demand for explanations of unjust actions will never be served to one to a
political tyrant. Greed comes hand in hand with power, for the elite will have a hunger that will never
be fed. We human beings must venture deeper than our beliefs and emotions and focus on the larger
picture at hand;

Example Of Critical Thinking
CRITICAL THINKING; CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWOK
The terms Critical , Criticism and Critic all begin from the ancient Greek word Kritikos , meaning able
to judge, distinguish or choose In modern English, a Critic is somebody whose job is to create
evaluative judgements, for example, on films, books, music or food. It means expressing a fair and
unprejudiced opinion on something. As far as Education is concerned, critical thinking is a cognitive
activity related to using mind. Learning to think in vital, diagnostic and evaluative ways means using
mental processes such as attention, categorisation, selection and judgement. Critical thinking is the

the common place could be further interpreted by each of our students or co workers and try to accept

Mitch Albom s Tuesdays With Morrie
Tuesdays with Morrie is an award winning book based on a true story, written by Mitch Albom. The
novel starts with Albom recalling memories from when he was a student at Brandeis University. He
introduced Morrie Schwartz as his favorite professor whom he has not seen in sixteen years. After
hearing the news that his favorite professor is suffering from Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) he
remembers the promise he made to him at graduation, to always keep in touch with him. He decides to
fulfill his promise and travels to see his professor on a Tuesday. Albom visits Morrie over the course
of several Tuesdays until the professor ultimately passes away. Throughout these Tuesdays they
discussed many different topics, which would all fall under ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

It grabbed my attention that Morrie has reached a thinking style, which differs from the concepts of
materialism that most people in this society believe in. He wondered why some people spend their
lives doing trivial things, such as chasing celebrities and making money only to spend it on things
void of any meaning. Morrie talked about the value of love among people and said, Love each other or
perish . In the end, Morrie began to cry. He did not cry because he was afraid of his inevitable death
but he cried because he did not cry when his mother passed and because his father died before he
could tell him that he loved him. Morrie s ideal day was not a day on the beach in Hawaii, but a day
with his family.
Tuesdays with Morrie is a very interesting book and a very valuable piece of writing. It tells a true
story which we can learn greatly from. Lessons expressed in this book include the importance of love
and relationships, accepting what we are able to do and what we are not, learning to forgive ourselves
and to forgive others, and the fact that it is never too late to start

Dipteran Research Paper
INTRODUCTION Across the globe, there are many regions that are solely dedicated to produce
different types of crops and other produce in order to support the needs and demands of society. Many
of these areas are concerned with ways to maximize their crop production, and often many insects,
particularly true flies (order Diptera), potentially affect these crops during the growing and harvesting
seasons. Dipterans have vastly important roles throughout ecosystems across the world, mainly having
the duty of pollinating as well as serving a crucial part of the food chain, allowing many insects and
animals a source of food, without having to resort to the ingestion of plants. Many authors have
discussed and examined the potential roles that dipterans ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

11 ºC, with an average daily maximum temperature of 18 ºC and an average daily minimum
temperature of 3 ºC. The control pitfall trap was filled with approximately 0.4 L of soapy water with a
ratio of 3:1 water to soap; the experimental pitfall trap was filled with approximately 0.2 L of soapy
water, and 0.2 L of non alcoholic wine. The pitfall traps were filled with water every other day so that
the volume was consistently at 0.4 L. The insects caught in the pitfall traps were harvested once a
week and the traps were refilled with the starting volume of solutions. The harvested insects were
stored in separate vials depending on whether they were retrieved from the soapy water or the non
alcoholic pitfall traps. The storage vials were filled with a 70% ethanol solution to preserve the
specimens. The dipterans collected from the two pitfalls were compared using a Chi squared analysis
to determine whether the non alcoholic wine was a significant dipteran

Theme Of Forbidden Love In Romeo And Juliet
William Shakespeare wrote a play that is about a forbidden love named Romeo and Juliet. This story
involves a family fued between the Capulets and Montagues. Readers and fans of the play never
thought that a story like this could be true but in Afghanistan it is. Zakia and Ali are forbidden lovers.
Though instead of a family feud. It is a feud between two religions. Zakia is a Sunni and Ali is a
Shiite, also know as the Capulets and Montagues. Religion is playing a huge role in their love. Sunnis
and Shiites go way back causing many feuds. Since they go way back sunni and shiite relgions clash
making their love hard. Sunni Islam is the most populated religion in Afghanistan. Among 940 million
in who believe in this religion. Sunni have of 700 million more people joined compared to the Shiites.
People of the Sunni follow the four schools of religious laws. These contain the ideas of the Hanafi,
the Maliki, the Shafi i and the Hanbali.Sunnis have their historical roots in the majority group who
followed Abu Bakr, an effective leader. Another thing is that the Sunnis is named sunni is because of

Decompression Zone Analysis
Modern retail stores have to use a variety of techniques in order to lure and keep customers inside
their stores. Without paying customers there is no retail store. This shows the importance of the
consumer and how much influence they have over modern retail companies. These Fortune 500
companies pay top dollar to know how they can maximize product sales in every way possible. In The
Science of Shopping Malcolm Gladwell interviews Paco Underhill, a retail anthropologist who s sole
purpose is to study consumers shopping habits and to determine the best store design for maximum
profit. Over the years Paco has noticed various human tendencies that, if used properly, will increase a

a local Walmart looking for evidence of Pacos work and recorded my findings.

A retail store has to transition from the outside world into their own environment in order to
successfully keep their customers inside for the longest amount of time. This area of transition is
called the decompression zone. Paco advises not to put anything of value here and Walmart sticks to
this idea pretty well; the only things in this zone are those pay to ride toys for little children. This
combination of emptiness, high ceilings, and a large doorway into the actual store does a great job of
inviting customers and keeping them in. However, Walmart almost ruins their own use of the
decompression zone by putting a lot of destination items (easily replenishable goods) right at the front
of the store and very close to the cash registers. It s always good practice to put easily expendable
items at the rear to drag customers through the entire store just for that item than to allow them to grab
something quickly, for example milk, and

The most destructive law to the American Indians which barely passed May 28, 1830 was known as
the Indian Removal Act, and later was known as the Trail of Tears. In 1803 President Thomas
Jefferson brought up to Congress that all American Indians be encouraged to move voluntarily from
their lands east of the Mississippi River. For some time, many American Indians began their new
venture and voluntarily started to move. President James Monroe also agreed with Thomas Jeffersons
ideas and convinced Congress to move on with the process. Thomas Jefferson and President James

During 1835 until 1842 The Second Seminole War occurred and The Third Seminole War between

Creek, Oconee, Yuchi, Alabama, Choctaw, and Shawnee who lived in southern Georgia and northern
Florida. After the First Seminole War the Georgia Florida frontier was not peaceful. Seminole men and
women were attempted to be relocated but were resistant. In December of 1835 Maroons and

Analysis Of The Poem For Whom The Bellstone
The ideas presented in John Donne s poem For Whom the Bell Tolls, heavily contrast the ideas
presented in Paul Simon s song, I Am a Rock. John Donne demonstrates that we are all apart of
humanity and mankind and how all humans have a connection with one another. Paul Simon contrasts
this overall idea by demonstrating that people are sick of society and want to be isolated from
humanity. The information presented by John Donne and Paul Simon are unique, but have very
contrasting ideas as they pertain to humanity.
One clear contrast between the pieces of literature, are two specific lines. In Donne s poem, he states
No man is an island, while Simon states in his song that I am an island. The island represents the
isolation from ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Simon uses several phrases to demonstrate the protection built to separate oneself from humanity. For
example, I ve built walls, a fortress deep and mighty that none my peneratre. A person can choose to
build a fortress where they can be safe from attack, safe from pain, and hence never need to shed any
tears. The room that is cozy as a womb becomes a tomb. The heart, given enough time, will become
hard and incapable of any feeling. Simon uses an individual who is hurt, to showcase the retreat to
safety. This is okay for a certain extent of time, but sadly, some stay inside. They hide in their fortress,
like a turtle drawn into its armored shell. John Donne contrasts this idea using the line A part of the
main, and implies everyone is together and how living in solitude is not living, but only existing.
John Donne s poem demonstrates we all have a role within the world, and our contributions are never
ignored, hence the last line, It tolls for thee, referencing funeral bells. The last line implies that the bell
rings for you, the reader, and how you are acknowledged as a human being and as a member of
society. Paul Simon s song contrasts this idea with the last four lines of the song, I am a rock, I am an
island, and a rock feels no pain, and an island never cries. The song is a declaration of an individual
who was not a rock, but needed people, and had been

Loan Proposal For Payday Loans
What if you were down on your luck, and short a couple hundred dollars for an electricity bill, and the
power company was threatening to turn off your power and none of your friends or family members
could help you out? What if you went to your employer and asked for an advance on your pay, and
they denied you? With the looming threat of losing power and the fees laid on top to get reconnected,
it may be easy to lose hope. There is, however, an entire financial industry set up to help with such
problems. A payday lender is probably nearby that will provide you a small, short term loan to help
you get back on your feet. Payday loans come in many forms, but generally speaking, they are small
($375 on average), short term (one to two weeks), high interest (391% API average) loans. Advocates
for payday loans argue that the loans are available for people who have emergencies like sudden
medical expenses, and are available when alternate sources of money are unavailable, or when the
alternatives may be more expensive. Opponents of payday loans point out the fact that a broad
majority of payday loans are not used for unexpected expenses, but are rather used for recurring
expenses. Opponents also argue that, while the loans are advertised as being short term, in reality, a
significant fraction of customers use payday loans repeatedly, and get trapped in a cycle of debt that is
exploitative. These people argue for state and sometimes federal regulations to curb the exploitative

Write An Essay On Lutheranism
Lutheranism Lutheranism is a major branch of Protestant Christianity that was created by Martin
Luther, a former devout Catholic monk and theology professor. Martin was disgusted by how deep the
corruption ran through the Roman Catholic Church, and when Pope Leo X authorized the selling of
hundreds of thousands of Indulgences to fund the massive St. Peter s Grand Cathedral in Rome, that
was the final straw for Martin. Writing down a ninety five points in a satire against the Church, he
exposed all the Church s hidden truths. A huge argument ensued, and the Church attacked Martin
Luther with their best weapon, which proved to trump kings. Pope Leo X used excommunicated
Luther from the Church, but the plan backfired. Luther was not afraid of Hell, and even if he was, ...

The Diet was so important that even Charles V, the Holy Roman Emperor, was going to make an
appearance. During the Diet, things went completely wrong, and Charles V declared Martin a heretic.
Now with his life at stake, Luther still did not back down. Luther fled for his life, and the Church
pursued in chase. This went along for awhile until Luther got backed up by Frederick. Luther only had
one hope left, the princes of Germany. These princes had everything Luther needed, armies for
protection, money for funding the new Church, and more importantly, could encourage more people to
join. At the peasant rebellion, Luther was supposed to support the peasants, but instead, needing the
help of princes more than ever, he supported the princes. The princes supported Lutheranism, and now
Lutheranism spread like a wildfire throughout Germany. At the peace of Augsburg, Charles V agreed
that all German princes could choose what religion they wanted. This was a major victory for
Lutheranism. The Church couldn t stop the growth anymore. The first major protestant church branch

different dynasties. This essay will use the different dynasties in a chronical order to show how the
economy of China grew, fell and, at one point, stagnated. The different dynasties is the Tang, Song,

A Spiral Galaxy
NGC 1672, a barred spiral galaxy located in the direction of the southern constellation Dorado lies
more than 60 million light years away. This is a spiral galaxy that s composed of stars in a central bar
shaped design. NGC 1672 is a member of the Seyfert galaxy, which was named after famous
astronomer, Carl Keenan Seyfert, who extensively studied galaxies with active nuclei in the 1940s. In
the middle of NGC 1672 s galaxy, it contains a high surface brightness bar from which four wire like
spiral arms extend outwards. This galaxy s symmetrical look is mainly formed by the four extending
arms of which are bordered with the most spectacular dust lines that extend out from the center.
Unlike the normal galaxies, NGC 1672 s arms do not fully spiral all the way to the center. The arms
are actually connected to both ends of a linear like bar of stars encompassing the nucleus. In fact, the
arms extending from the middle of this galaxy is the main reason I was drawn to this image. The arms

Administrative Tribunals And Decision From Other Common...
4. Administrative tribunals and decision from other common law countries
Beside the judicial functions of courts, administrative tribunals are another official bodies that adhere
the rights to settle the disputes, and they are established within federal and state jurisdictions. The well
established practice of the doctrine of precedent is also found in the operation of administrative
tribunals, where the inferior tribunals follow decisions of superior but those decisions are not
necessary carry the formal precedential authority. In most cases, disputes parties in the tribunals could
appeal to the court, where the tribunals are bound by the precedent of the court.
The decisions from other common law jurisdiction such as United Kingdom, New Zealand, Canadian
and United States have no authority on Australian courts but Australian judges rather relied on them as
an argument in the judgment particular when confront with the absence of binding authority.
Traditionally, the decision of superior English courts are paid the highest regards, especially when
there is a conflicting of foreign court decisions, and are frequently cited by Australian judges owing to
the fact that British is the mother nation of Australia.

There are about five different foster homes that he is taken to throughout the book. I believe that the

To Kill A Mockingbird Parent Child Relationship
The relationship between a parent and a child is an eternal relationship. They both have different
responsibilities for each other. As a parent it is their responsibility to teach his or her child what is
right and what is wrong. They play a vital role in the development of a child s morality.Linda
Poindexter once remarked, The irony of a parent and child relationship is, that at any given moment,
you never know who is teaching whom. This is true in many cases. Everyone can learn different
things from each other at any given time. The parent child relationship can be considered a major
factor in many development domains, including moral domains. Parents use different techniques to
influence the morality of their children. In Harper Lee s To Kill a Mockingbird, Atticus Finch, his
daughter Jean Louise Scout Finch, and his son Jem ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Emotions between siblings are characteristically intense and can cycle rapidly between love and
hostility ( Brown ). At an early stage the siblings are the first companion of a child and the presence of
a sibling can boost a child s confidence during stressful events. Sibling gets comfort during the time of
need and also eases during stressful events such as illness and parental absence.
A healthy relation with neighbors is also important in maintaining a balance of the society. There are
many different things that are learned only by observing what other people does. In times of need
people can quickly seek help from their neighbors.
It is the parent s responsibility to make his or her children understand that they mean lot of them. They
should be reminded how important an individual is to the other one. What are you have the same

The Content Of The Cult Film They Live
A film, generally speaking is digested on a surface level as a piece of entertainment and some
elements can pass the viewers by. However films are cemented in the time and place they were made
and the filmmakers unique self expression is presented in an artistic form to fully give their work
depth. Typically, feature films are narrative driven and focus on a central set of characters and their
trials and tribulations. However, the film can mean something deeper when fully delving into the
content of the work, whether it is cultural, political or ideological in its message. These elements
presented give the work depth thus allowing deeper discussions and analysis of a work that may seem
simple on a surface level. Student filmmakers have always strived to implement these points in their
work. With the aim of improving their practice, it is considered a necessity to include these elements
in order to fully dissect the elements of specific works to understand the method in which these
messages are implemented. In this assignment, I will discuss the content of the cult film They Live
(They Live, 1988) so I can fully grasp the symptomatic and ideological elements behind the film and
how it has inspired other artists. John Carpenters career flourished with the release of Halloween
(Halloween, 1978). Throughout the 1980 s he made a name for himself within the horror and science
fiction genre with films such as The Fog (The Fog, 1980), The Thing (The Thing, 1982) and Escape

Adoptive Couple Vs. Baby Girl
Adoptive couple v. Baby Girl was a case that involved the biological parents of the baby girl in
question. The biological mother Christy was Hispanic Caucasian and, the father Mr. Brown, a member
of a Cherokee Indian tribe. Congress had to step in due to the ICWA or the Indian Child Welfare Act
that was passed in 1978 to prevent the illegal and harsh removal of Indian children from the tribes.
This case was a huge battle in the Supreme Court between the biological father Dusten Brown and the
adoptive parents of baby Veronica in September of 2011. This case caused uproar with people on both
sides of the fence.
The case began when the mother of baby Veronica who lived Oklahoma and was engaged briefly to

Of course Adoptive parents across the nation seemed to digress from this opinion, due to the
emotional struggle and financial trials that often come with the adoption process, and favored that they
baby be given to their adoptive parents who rightfully adopted a child who had been willingly given
up in infancy (and raised and cared for by adoptive parents for two years) by the biological mother
and a father who relinquished his biological rights to her prior to adoption.
Similar cases occurred in the 1960 s and 1970 s which ultimately resulted in the ICWAAct. In a
similar situation a young man and woman had the same problem and the pregnant mother in question
pursued the father to relinquish his rights (which he did) and the mother was cared for by the adoptive
parents during her pregnancy (starting by the 4th month) until childbirth when the baby was legally
adopted by the adoptive parents. Similar to this case which occurred in 2011 the young man in
question did not agree that his daughter would be given up for adoption but only claimed that he had
agreed to give up parental rights but the relationship of blood could not be terminated nor denied. In
many of these cases from the era prior to ICWA the baby was taken from the adoptive parents and
returned to her rightful home since the relationship of parent could not be

Beasts Of The Southern Wild Analysis
Stories, in general, are immortal. As long as someone keeps telling them. In Beasts of the Southern
Wild, Hushpuppy draws stories on cardboard for people to see. She basically makes hieroglyphics for
future generations to see her stories. Hushpuppy and Wink s love for each is immortal because Wink
never stopped loving Hushpuppy even when he died, and Hushpuppy continues to express her love for
Wink through her stories. Aurochs in the story symbolize immortality because it was shown they have
been trapped in glaciers for millions of years and survived. Hushpuppy wants to be remembered, in a

The faun is a unique character because it somehow reverses its age to appear younger. A minor detail
of the story is the broken watch from vidal s late father. The broken watch indicates time has stop,

passage from the tale is A long time ago in a grey sad country, there was a magic rose that made

Marine Corps Hymn
The Marine Corps Hymn
One of the best known of the official military songs is the Marine Corps Hymn. And yet, no one
knows who made it or exactly how old it is. Legend has it that it dates back to the Mexican American
War (1846 1848). It wasn t officially copyrighted until 1917 when W.E. Christian published it in the
book Rhymes of Rookies (Gutenberg.org). Even though we don t know its exact origin, we do know
what the song stands for and what it means. The hymn praises the idealism of the Marine Corps and
also looks back on historic moments Marines have dealt with and overcome.
Different parts of the Hymn refer to specific historical events. The first line From the halls of
Montezuma refers to when the Marines captured Chapultepec Castle in 1847 during the Mexican
American War. The castle was in the heart of Mexico City, Mexico s capital. It served as a military
academy and also offered protection to the rest of the city. After its capture the treaty of Guadalupe
Hidalgo was signed and the war was over (history.com). This was one of the bloodiest battles in
Marine Corps history and the red stripe called blood stripes on the Marines dress uniform is to
commemorate the bloodshed during the battle. It signifies the tenacity of the Marines who won despite
being outnumbered by the Mexicans.
The second line to the shores of Tripoli refers to the First Barbary War (1801 1805), which was the
first war the United States had declared on foreign land and seas. Specifically,

Importance Of Qualitative Research
1. Session: Introduction to Qualitative Research in Psychology
Qualitative research not only refers to the techniques used to collect and analyse certain data but also
to a field of research in itself. The different philosophical positions have in turn informed the varied
approaches to qualitative research.
As an exploratory type of research, it seeks to gather the in depth understanding of the behaviour of a
sample group. The personal opinion, values and experiences of them. It affords the opportunity to
observe the participants behaviour as well as allowing the researcher to delve into the participants
beliefs and really probe to obtain a greater detailed understanding of the issue.
Qualitative research techniques are flexible and normally conducted in naturalistic settings using semi
structured data collection methods as this accommodates the deviation to obtain that greater depth of
answer. There are different types of analysis used for example, Interpretive Phenomenological
Analysis, grounded theory, narrative, thematic and pattern based discourse analysis.
Unlike quantitative research that use numbers as data and statistics, qualitative methods rely on words
and meaning. It seeks to understand the problem rather than quantifying it placing more emphasis on
subjectivity rather than objectivity.
Qualitative methods tend to use smaller sample sizes due to the personal form of research putting the
persons perspective at the centre of the work. The results are

Professionalism in Nursing
There are many fields and professions in which professionalism is of the highest reputation, and
nursing is among them. In the area of nursing, there is much importance to be placed with the
improvement of professionalism within the profession. Nursing is a profession that depends on
practitioners to perform in a way that characterized the goodness of the wider discipline, as all nurses
are in a position of accountability and responsibility. This essay will further look into the topic of
professionalism in nursing, the role of a registered nurse, and having competence in relation to this
role. Furthermore, this will also discuss how a registered nurse demonstrates professional practice in
relation to the New Zealand Nursing Council (NZNC) ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Nurses should also ensure that they have the experience, skills, and training needed to carry out the
task that they are expected to implement with evidence based research. These qualities are included in
the second domain which is the management of nursing care. For example, a nurse should have an
understanding of the theoretical frameworks which shape the nursing over the years. Such as an
understanding of Jean Watson s Theory of Care and its influence on the development of nursing
practice. Furthermore, patients approach nurses due to physical or mental conditions. Thus, nurses
should give the best care to address the needs of the patients. With effective communication skills and
willingness of patient s involvement, this relationship will continue to nurture with time as long as
there is readiness to listen and harmony from both parties. This relates to the third domain which is
interpersonal relationship. Another factor for being professional is collegiality. This connects to the
fourth domain which is inter professional health care and quality improvement. Collegiality is the
relationship between colleagues who seek the requirement of respect, mutual trust, and cooperation
between team mates (Lorenz, 2013). It is the duty of a nurse to maintain healthy relationships with
their team to ensure the patient s wellbeing. This involves critical teamwork skills particularly when it

In the mid to late 1800s, a great moral reform movement swept the nation of America. Men, Women,
Slaves, people who had never been admitted to influence the religious sector of the Nation were now
standing up, and making their voices heard. A patriots History says, There were transformations of
attitudes about social relationships, health, prisons, education, and the status of women and African
American slaves.... [This] grew into a substantial Jacksonian reform movement. This moral reform
movement was driven by three main beliefs, or Isms. These were Communal ism, Feminism, and

This rejection of traditionally held values in regard to women, led to the very next Ism, Feminism.
Feminism was a Utopians dream because it advocated greatly expanded roles for women. By the time
of the precedent setting New York State court case Mercein v. People in 1842, women had gained
many other rights. In Mercein vs. People a woman was awarded custody of children for the first time
in history. Up till this point women had gained property rights within marriage in several Ohio and
Mississippi Valley states, and the trend was spreading, fast, and divorce became slightly more
prevalent, with the legal grounds increased. With the growth of the Industrial Revolution, women were
given work opportunities, and with a rising demand for teachers more and more women were
becoming educated in institutions. Nursing jobs also became popular. In1849, Elizabeth Blackwell
received her M.D. degree from the Medical Institution of Geneva, N.Y., becoming the first woman in
the U.S. with a medical degree. All these causes lead women, inevitably, towards feminism, a socio
religious and socio political philosophy born at the end of the Age of Jackson. Feminism was affecting
moral reform, and was right there at the heart. These women activists pushed and shoved till they got
their way. The final force was the Declaration of Sentiments at Seneca Falls, New York on 1848.

When I Saw Me
Walking out of the Museum of Fine Arts on a spring night in 2013, I began to think about where my
home really was. I had just left the Boston Palestine Film Festival, where the screening of When I Saw
You by the Palestinian filmmaker Annemarie Jacir had really stood out to me. The movie was from the
perspective of a young Palestinian refugee named Tarek living in a camp in Jordan. Tarek goes on a
journey to return to his home in Palestine. After watching the film, I had an unshakeable feeling that
my real home was in Palestine and felt a strong urge to return to the land of my ancestors.
I developed a deeper connection to my Palestinian heritage after the film festival. These feelings were
confusing to me at first. There I was, living in the United States, feeling a powerful sentimental
attachment towards a land I ve never set foot in thousands of miles away. As a young kid, having ties

mesmerized me. He told me about growing up in the small village of Suhmata, helping his parents in
the fields, and playing with his friends on the farm. His stories inspired images in my mind of
Palestine as a paradise with endless rows of olive and fig trees. Before I left, he gifted me with a
keffiyeh, a traditional Palestinian headscarf and symbol of Palestinian solidarity. The keffiyeh was
made in a textile factory in Hebron, so it has a physical connection to the land. It also has sentimental
value coming from my grandfather. To this day, the keffiyeh is one of the most treasured objects I

database regarding deposit methods, withdrawal methods, payment times, accepted currencies, and
languages offered.
Player Comments
The second part of the KeyToCasino study has involved delving deep into the recent comments made
by players. Before these comments were intensely analysed they were arranged according to topics
addressed and their overall nature, whether it was positive or negative regarding the online casino
discussed. Breaking down these player comments, it showed that 57% of those who gamble online
reported a positive experience when playing at a poker room inclusive online casino. While just 49%
of online gamblers spoke positively about playing at a standalone online casino that did not have
online poker functionality.
Interesting Thoughts
While the big reveal from the KeyToCasino study shows that players still have plenty of time for an

Singapore As A Financial And Transportation Hub And A...
Introduction:
Singapore, located in Southeast Asia, has a population of 5.39 million people. It s land area stretches
to 716.1 km2, with a high population density of 7615 per km2 (World Bank, n.d.). Singapore serves as
a financial and transportation hub and a global commerce. Its economy is known for being the free,
innovative, competitive, and business friendly. It integrated itself in many economic sectors including
financial services (fourth leading financial centre), manufacturing, oil refining (third largest oil
refining centre).
By the end of the 20th century, Singapore has shifted from a setting up a nation state into a developed
and global city. The city built a competitive economy through the influx of migration (Armaldas,
2009). In fact, Singapore was ranked, right after London and New York, as the third most competitive
city in the world by the Economist Intelligence Unit s Global City Competitive Index. The
qualification was based on 8 different categories that shaped a competitive city; from the 8, Singapore
ranked number one in financial maturity and physical capital (Yew, 2014). Due to the continuing
competitiveness between Singapore and the neighboring cities and countries, including China and
India, the Singaporean government has been working and reconstructing their economic foundation to
hold on to its title East Asia s primary hub (Armaldas, 2009). My paper aims to indicate what makes

Religion And Politics Of The Catholic Church
Religion influenced culture and politics by the power it holds, but can lose it by its flaws. In Europe,
the Catholic Church has significantly change the lives of others. The Catholic Church dominated
Europe during the Medieval time period. This church established laws which had structured a
theological government that impacted lives. So that all laws would be made throughout Europe from
the church. Also influenced men to fight in Crusades. Later on, the leaders of the Catholic Church
were more interested in worldly aspects rather than their spiritual life. Which then lead the church to
allow indulgences which caused the Reformation, that was lead by Martin Luther. Therefore, the
Catholic religion impacted culture and politics in the society of Europe because it was the center of
attention. Which established the Canon Laws, from that foundation it influenced others to fight in
Crusades, and eventually the flaws of the church lead to the Reformation. The Catholic Church ruled
all of Europe, so when they implemented Canon Laws it gave them more power. The Canon Laws
held political and religious power, which the members of the church had to obey, if not they would be
excommunicated from the church. Also would be tried through their court system( Power of the
Church Lecture). This explained the church held a lot of power. Also it showed the church had an
influence on how people s lives were going to be structured, because if they lived a certain lifestyle

Three Messages From Rime Of The Ancient Mariner Analysis
Three Messages From Rime
( An Analysis of Three Messages from Rime of the Ancient Mariner )
In the poem Rime of the Ancient Mariner an old man spots a young kid, and just knows that he must
talk to him and tell him his story. Various feelings, emotions and actions are expressed throughout this
old man s story, and for whatever reason the young boy not only hears but completely listens to what
the man has to say. After the man s story was done, there were three messages that came form his
story and were now passed onto to the young boy s mind. Three of the messages that stuck out the
most in this poem were, the definite distinction between the young and the old, the next messages
would be guilt, and lastly having a respect for nature would be the last of the three messages that came
about throughout this story.
Many things can make the distinction between the old and the young. For instance, as young adults, or
even young kids, it is often that we get discredited and dehumanized for all that we do and of course
because of the age that we are. Young people, have the reputation for being immature and
unknowledgeable. This for some reason is how it s been for ages. Now on the other hand, elders or
anyone i d say thirty and up are known as more knowledgeable and definitely more mature. Simply
because they have walked this earth far longer than the youngins. Older people see the world and life
differently than younger people do. It s

The Miracle Of Jesus Research Paper
In Exodus 3:29, the Lord God called the nation of Israel a stiff necked people; thus considering Israel
s obstinacy, and history of rejecting many of God s chosen, it becomes of no surprise that Israel would
also reject Jesus. According to the New Testament Scriptures, Jesus performed many signs and
wonders to authenticate being the Son of God and Israel s Messiah, however, and as recorded by the
gospel writers Matthew and Mark (Matthew 12:22 37; Mark 3:20 30), Jesus miracle of casting a
demon out of deaf and blind man was attributed to Beelzebub or Satan by the Pharisees (Pentecost,
1981). Hence, the miracle not only caused dismay amongst the Pharisees but the people who
witnessed the miracle as well (Pentecost, 1981). Unfortunately, the people of Israel were taught
through the law by the Pharisees that the sheep should follow the shepherd; therefore, the people of
Israel were unwilling to accept Christ unless the Pharisees accepted Christ. Regrettably, the Pharisees
as shepherds quickly convinced the sheep that the miracle performed in Matthew and ... Show more

Thus, in Matthew 12:46 50, it is recorded that Jesus rejected the idea of a blood relationship to the
Messiah when Jesus refused to acknowledge the blood relationship that existed between Jesus and
Jesus mother and brothers (Pentecost, 1981). Pointing to the disciples, Jesus Words indicated that any
relationship to the Messiah must be spiritual and based on faith; furthermore, any relationship to the
Messiah must also consist of wanting to do the Will of God (Pentecost, 1981). Jesus Words in
Matthew s narrative ran counterculture to what the Israelites believed; therefore, Israel continued to

Acute diarrhea is defined as an alteration in frequency, and consistency of stool evacuation (increased), that last for no more than 14 days ( 2 weeks ), and it may be associated with symptoms of nausea, abdominal cramping, and vomiting (Thielman Guerrant, 2004). On the other hand, chronic diarrhea known also as Persistent diarrhea stays for longer time. Infectious diarrhea is the second cause of morbidity and mortality in the world. • 3. Animal Farm Historical Perspectives Animal Farm Through a Historical Perspective Oftentimes, examining a piece of literature art can be troublesome what insightful discovery is the author trying to reveal? Is there a deeper, more profound truth to the on the surface details provided? Is there a truth at all? To New Historicists, the truth of a past or foreign culture can never be confirmed as established or unchangeable. At best, any understanding of the truth is a matter of interpretation based on both the reader and the writer. Additionally, while the literary work under consideration does indeed reflect the culture in which it was written, it also participates in the culture in which it was written. In this complex level of historical perspective, culture and literature ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... At last, the author reveals his undeniable truth; the pigs, at first preaching for the well being and empowerment of all animals, have mutated to the very things the farm animals scorned tyrannical, overruling, and oppressive. But more profound to this truth, however, is not Orwell s application of this to the history of the Soviet Union, but his application to mankind. By venturing into detail the malicious practices by the pigs, he offers an alarming, but critical, nature of humanity. The book pictures its most poignant ironies in the instances in which Orwell portrays the corruption of Animalist principles by those in power. For Animal Farm serves not so much to castigate dictatorship or tyranny as to accuse the appalling hypocrisy of tyrannies that base themselves on, and owe their initial power to, ideologies of emancipation and impartiality. The universal truth in our world is that one with absolute power, who rules in a dictatorship, cannot effectively manage and justify a successful nation. Without clear opposition, demand for explanations of unjust actions will never be served to one to a political tyrant. Greed comes hand in hand with power, for the elite will have a hunger that will never be fed. We human beings must venture deeper than our beliefs and emotions and focus on the larger picture at hand; ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The novel starts with Albom recalling memories from when he was a student at Brandeis University. He introduced Morrie Schwartz as his favorite professor whom he has not seen in sixteen years. After hearing the news that his favorite professor is suffering from Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) he remembers the promise he made to him at graduation, to always keep in touch with him. It grabbed my attention that Morrie has reached a thinking style, which differs from the concepts of materialism that most people in this society believe in. He wondered why some people spend their lives doing trivial things, such as chasing celebrities and making money only to spend it on things void of any meaning. Morrie talked about the value of love among people and said, Love each other or perish . In the end, Morrie began to cry. He did not cry because he was afraid of his inevitable death but he cried because he did not cry when his mother passed and because his father died before he could tell him that he loved him. Morrie s ideal day was not a day on the beach in Hawaii, but a day with his family. Tuesdays with Morrie is a very interesting book and a very valuable piece of writing. It tells a true story which we can learn greatly from. Lessons expressed in this book include the importance of love and relationships, accepting what we are able to do and what we are not, learning to forgive ourselves and to forgive others, and the fact that it is never too late to start ... Many of these areas are concerned with ways to maximize their crop production, and often many insects, particularly true flies (order Diptera), potentially affect these crops during the growing and harvesting seasons. Dipterans have vastly important roles throughout ecosystems across the world, mainly having the duty of pollinating as well as serving a crucial part of the food chain, allowing many insects and animals a source of food, without having to resort to the ingestion of plants. • 9. Decompression Zone Analysis Modern retail stores have to use a variety of techniques in order to lure and keep customers inside their stores. Without paying customers there is no retail store. This shows the importance of the consumer and how much influence they have over modern retail companies. These Fortune 500 companies pay top dollar to know how they can maximize product sales in every way possible. In The Science of Shopping Malcolm Gladwell interviews Paco Underhill, a retail anthropologist who s sole purpose is to study consumers shopping habits and to determine the best store design for maximum profit. Over the years Paco has noticed various human tendencies that, if used properly, will increase a retail stores sales. Tendencies like: the Invariant right, Petting, and the Decompression Zone. This combination of emptiness, high ceilings, and a large doorway into the actual store does a great job of inviting customers and keeping them in. However, Walmart almost ruins their own use of the decompression zone by putting a lot of destination items (easily replenishable goods) right at the front of the store and very close to the cash registers. It s always good practice to put easily expendable items at the rear to drag customers through the entire store just for that item than to allow them to grab something quickly, for example milk, and ... • 12. Analysis Of The Poem For Whom The Bellstone The ideas presented in John Donne s poem For Whom the Bell Tolls, heavily contrast the ideas presented in Paul Simon s song, I Am a Rock. John Donne demonstrates that we are all apart of humanity and mankind and how all humans have a connection with one another. Paul Simon contrasts this overall idea by demonstrating that people are sick of society and want to be isolated from humanity. The information presented by John Donne and Paul Simon are unique, but have very contrasting ideas as they pertain to humanity. A person can choose to build a fortress where they can be safe from attack, safe from pain, and hence never need to shed any tears. The room that is cozy as a womb becomes a tomb. The heart, given enough time, will become hard and incapable of any feeling. Simon uses an individual who is hurt, to showcase the retreat to safety. This is okay for a certain extent of time, but sadly, some stay inside. They hide in their fortress, like a turtle drawn into its armored shell. John Donne contrasts this idea using the line A part of the main, and implies everyone is together and how living in solitude is not living, but only existing. John Donne s poem demonstrates we all have a role within the world, and our contributions are never ignored, hence the last line, It tolls for thee, referencing funeral bells. The last line implies that the bell rings for you, the reader, and how you are acknowledged as a human being and as a member of society. • 15. Loan Proposal For Payday Loans What if you were down on your luck, and short a couple hundred dollars for an electricity bill, and the power company was threatening to turn off your power and none of your friends or family members could help you out? What if you went to your employer and asked for an advance on your pay, and they denied you? With the looming threat of losing power and the fees laid on top to get reconnected, it may be easy to lose hope. There is, however, an entire financial industry set up to help with such problems. A payday lender is probably nearby that will provide you a small, short term loan to help you get back on your feet. Payday loans come in many forms, but generally speaking, they are small ($375 on average), short term (one to two weeks), high interest (391% API average) loans. Advocates for payday loans argue that the loans are available for people who have emergencies like sudden medical expenses, and are available when alternate sources of money are unavailable, or when the alternatives may be more expensive. Opponents of payday loans point out the fact that a broad majority of payday loans are not used for unexpected expenses, but are rather used for recurring expenses. Opponents also argue that, while the loans are advertised as being short term, in reality, a significant fraction of customers use payday loans repeatedly, and get trapped in a cycle of debt that is exploitative. It was a part of Alternative Spring Break Program s Active Citizen Week, which is a week of events that encourage students to do more in the community. It s one of my favorite events of the season. It allows students to actually experience income inequality in a safe way instead of just hearing about it, said Nicholas Shepard, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Martin was disgusted by how deep the corruption ran through the Roman Catholic Church, and when Pope Leo X authorized the selling of hundreds of thousands of Indulgences to fund the massive St. Peter s Grand Cathedral in Rome, that was the final straw for Martin. Writing down a ninety five points in a satire against the Church, he exposed all the Church s hidden truths. Also influenced men to fight in Crusades. Later on, the leaders of the Catholic Church were more interested in worldly aspects rather than their spiritual life. Which then lead the church to allow indulgences which caused the Reformation, that was lead by Martin Luther. Therefore, the Catholic religion impacted culture and politics in the society of Europe because it was the center of attention. Which established the Canon Laws, from that foundation it influenced others to fight in Crusades, and eventually the flaws of the church lead to the Reformation. The Catholic Church ruled all of Europe, so when they implemented Canon Laws it gave them more power. The Canon Laws held political and religious power, which the members of the church had to obey, if not they would be excommunicated from the church.
