Dangers And Dangers Of Phobias
There are many obstacles to be faced in the world we live in today. Do you realize though that
many of these so called obstacles , whether they be big or small, are merely fears that have
escalated in status in our subconscious? As humans most of us live a very structured, nearly
robotic, day to day life. We wake up in the morning, we got to school, work, or other hobbies, then
we come home, go to bed, and if we are lucky, we do it all over again the next day.
Sometimes though, throughout our tedious lives we are interrupted by those pesky obstacles that I
mentioned before. Interestingly enough, some of these obstacles can be describe as phobias. A
phobia is an irrational and excessive fear of an object or situation. These phobias can range
dramatically from simply distracting to life altering.
Luckily most of us suffer from seemingly less harmful phobias that may not trigger an
emotional outpour every day of our lives. Due to the unlikeliness of confrontation some people
are able to live their lives avoiding phobias they might have procured. For example, a more
common phobia known would be Coulrophobia, the fear of clowns. Although you may be
completely terrified of clowns, you do not wake up every morning knowing you have to face one.
You do however have to draw comprise whenever carnival time comes around. Even though you
may completely adore the amenities of a festival you steer clear of the park to avoid any clowns,
sacrificing amusement to bypass fear.

Vaccination For Children And Immune Compromised Adults
Vaccines are made up of a weakened version of the bacteria or virus, or dead forms of the organism,
or in other cases, an inactivated toxin that is produced by the bacteria. Upon the introduction of
vaccine into the body, the immune system is manipulated into thinking that the body is under
attack and produces specific antibodies as a defense mechanism. These antibodies stay in the
bloodstream, protecting the body against actual infections for months, years or even a lifetime.
Why are vaccines important, especially for children and immune compromised adults? Vaccination
protects from serious illness and complications caused by vaccine preventable diseases. Despite
many efforts and medical advances, infectious diseases like measles, mumps, and whooping cough
are still a threat and often there are no cures available for these diseases. Smallpox has been
eradicated due to a vaccine and many expect that other terrible infectious diseases will be
eliminated in the near future. This paper will explore (1) the history of vaccination, (2) pros and
cons of vaccinations, and lastly (3) the future of vaccines.
Well before Dr. Edward Jenner made an impact on human disease by creating the world s first
vaccine for smallpox in 1796, people in China, Africa and Turkey were practicing variolations as
early as 1,000 CE. Variolation involved inhaling a powder made from smallpox scabs, much like the
modern day flu mist. It evolved to a process where pus from smallpox pustules is applied to a

I Am Devoted Community Service
I am devoted to community service. As a student, my immediate community is my school. I ran
for election to the Old Rochester Regional Junior High School Student Council a mere six weeks
after I moved to this town, where I knew not one person, so that I could get to know people and
learn about the issues students at my new schools faced. I won and was further elected President by
a student body who had just only met me. I have now been President for two years in a row. As
student government representative, my role is to listen to the issues of the students and to
represent them to the best of my ability to the administration, the teachers, and the outside
community. As President, I am able to inspire and help the students put the words... Show more

In addition, I look forward to taking part in an art club or chorus as a creative outlet. Continuing
soccer throughout high school is important to me. I am motivated by the competition and
camaraderie of team sports. While at high school, with the opportunities at hand and sport seasons
that do not overlap, I aspire to join whichever sports may interest me.
Outside of school I am very involved in soccer, and have been playing competitively for 7 years.
Prior to that, I played recreationally since I was 3 years old. In elementary school I experimented
with other sports, but my love for soccer was invulnerable so I stuck with it. I have been captain
of four teams, I am very proud of my leadership position on the field.
Besides sports I love music. I sing in my school chorus as a leading alto and have been for 3
years. Besides chorus class, I have never had formal training, but I would enjoy the opportunity
for such training if it was afforded to me. While singing is an art, it also is a form of expression.
I love to sing because it helps me convey emotions in a way that other people can feel what I m
experiencing through song. I have notebooks filled with original lyrics which are accompanied by
guitar chords. Despite the fact I have never had any classes, my father inspired me to begin playing
the guitar, which I plan to continue pursuing in

Demand And Supply And Demand Essay
NTCC PROJECT DEMAND AND SUPPLY BY:ВSHUBHAM PACHORY B.COM
HONS.(EVENING) ROLL NO В44 ABSTRACT There is no law of supply and demand . there

An Antisocial Behavior Disorder ( Aspd )
Psychopaths and sociopaths combined make up 5% of the general population. Chances are that
everyone will come into contact with either a psychopath or a sociopath at least once in their
lifetime. An antisocial behavior disorder, also known as ASPD is described as a mental disorder
categorized by disregard for other people. Psychopaths and sociopaths both fall into ASPD.
Psychopaths and sociopaths obtain key traits in common, but there are very strong differences as
well. Psychopaths do not have the ability to feel empathy for anyone besides themselves, whereas
sociopaths can develop an attachment to certain people. Sociopaths are impulsive and short

An impulse is defined as a sudden and unreflective urge or desire to act also as a driving or
motivating force this combining with the inability to to think about being successful and
putting a family or anyones needs including their own above their own sociopathic needs and
impulses. In the movie The Silence of the Lambs there is a killer Jame Gumb named nicknamed
buffalo bill , named that way for his impulsive killing. He lures women off the streets and then
skins different parts of them to make a suit for himself. This character could have gotten away
with his crimes but he was not meticulous enough in how he disposed of his bodies and how he
picked up his victim. He was sloppy and let his impulses control him, when his lover left him to
be with another man he killed his other lover, this was one of the key clues as to how he was
identified in the movie. Psychopaths have control over their impulses with makes them that more
dangerous, and also makes them harder to identify Sociopaths make up 5% of the population
they only make up 1%. They can plan out their crimes and can control their emotions while they
plot. This doesn t mean that they don t have impulses they just don t act on them as frequently or
as recklessly. Hannibal Lecter in the The Silence of the Lambs is portrayed a Psychopath. Lector

During the late 1800 s, Westward Expansion influenced the U.S society and their economy.
Theodore Roosevelt described saying, the great leap westward. The Louisiana Purchase of 1803
was greatly aided to spark the western movement. Which was later followed by the Lewis and

Heavy labor, plowing and hunting were man duties, leaving domestic chores to women in most
preindustrial societies. During the women s suffrage movement, Susan B. Anthony Stamp founded
the National Woman Suffrage Association (NSWA). She used confrontational and aggressive
strategies to demand suffrage. In 1872, Susan B Anthony broke the law by intentionally voting in
the presidential election in Rochester, N.Y. Physiological tests now suggest that women have a

After being repopulated, the people of Miletus restored the old constitution. They changed a few
things like abolishing the associates with their jobs being taken over by other officials. They also
started the business of religious matters again at Didyma at the temple of Apollo. They continued
to divide the population into the six tribes. It became strong enough to play a role later in the fifth
century in the struggle for Greece between Athens and Sparta. Athens had Miletus join into the
Delian League, but they were still too weak to contribute partly due to the destruction of the city.
Miletus also faced internal political conflict and Athens became involved in the situation. Athens
supported the upper class to continue to rule rather than a democracy which is what Athens used to
rule its city state. However, this upper class of rulers started to take advantage of the workers
causing more tension. The oligarchs revolted from Athens and massacred their opponents. By 442
at the latest Athens put down the revolt and established a democratic government on the Athenian
model. Gs Pg 398 After they created some stability, they appointed a commission of five to revise
and change the constitution of Miletus. The appointed commission of five followed the structure
and order of the Athenian form of government. They had a council with superior magistrates called
wardens. They also had assistant magistrates called colleagues. The Psalmist

The Statements And Actions Of Prophet
INTRO
The statements and actions of Prophet are recorded in a set of literary texts that modern Muslim
call the Hadith. The original term for the customs of the Prophet was Sunnat Al Nabi , which is an
exact translation of customs of the Prophet in the native tongue of the Prophet s time, which was
Arabic (textbook). While the entire genre of Islamic literature that surrounds the Prophet
Muhammad is called Sunnat Al Nabi, the individual reports that outline the personal and private life
of the Prophet are called Hadith. The Hadith is an official collection of the sayings and actions of
the last and final Prophet of Islam throughout the 22 years of his prophetic ministry (Dustin). The
Hadith is arguably one of the most important practical text for modern Muslims, as the many
books on Hadith outline the life of the man that Muslims around the world have been told to
emulate. Muslims have been instructed to practice the behaviour of the Prophet as his behaviour
is considered a guideline on the perfect way for a Muslim to live. The Hadith outlines all
relationships between a Muslim and God, as well as discussing how relationships between
humans should be conducted. The Hadith outlines every affair possible, and how the Prophet
acted in this affair, and Muslims should aspire to model this way of life (Encyclopedia J).
Therefore, the Hadith can be considered one of the most important literary texts on the planet,
because it guides a religion of nearly 1.6 billion people. The

Pros And Cons Of Caadavers
The use of Cadavers in my view, and from my experience of working and studying in the
dissection lab of the National University of Ireland, Galway is one of the best ways human
anatomy can both be taught and learnt and I believe is an essential aspect in the study of
educational anatomy and should be utilised in the learning of anatomywhere possible. The active,
hands on exploration that cadaveric dissections provide, joined with excellent teaching methods
makes for an interesting yet challenging method of learning anatomy. In saying this, I do believe
that there are both pros and cons associated with the study of cadaveric anatomy.

But the question still remains, to what extent can these apps and systems be used in the learning
and understanding of anatomy? Are they 100% reliable in terms of accuracy and correct
information? Can these computerised resources replace cadaveric dissections? And finally, are
they possibly the best method to utilise in the learning and understanding of anatomy? Answers to
these questions may differ from person to person, but I personally believe that the role that a
cadaver plays in the processing, digestion and assimilation of information that has been taught in
lectures is paramount as from my experience of using these systems, and trying to learn from
them, I feel like in terms of the positioning of anatomical structures such as muscles and nerves,
these 3D visuals fall short. They provide only a rough and vague indication of the location of
structures and sometimes don t provide an accurate representation of the structures in comparison
to viewing them on a gross specimen. They lack the aspect of precision that a cadaver would
provide in terms of location, shape and size of anatomical structures. The idea that students can one
day be taught a completely new topic, for example, the Brachial Plexus, and the next day enter into

Crews from the ships would be held captive and tortured for years and months on end. The United

army set off on the USS George Washington to Algerines and Tripoli to settle things. A man by the
name of Thomas Jefferson was inaugurated as president in the year of 1801 and not long after he
would send warships to Tripoli and confront the pirates face to face for their doings. This caused
a blockade so no pirates would be able to attack the merchant ships. What this action would do
was not what Jefferson thought would happen but as an outcome an all out war broke loose
between Jefferson s army and the Tripoli pirates and their allies. The war would go on and on
off the coast. The blockade only held for so long. Finally the pirates would make their way

and the pirates captured it. A young navy member then snuck onto the ship and set it on fire
during an enemy gun fire, destroying any goods the pirates could get their hands on or even stop
them from rebuilding the ship and turning it against the United States Navy. The war would
continue for a while until finally peace agreements were made and the U.S Navy fled the scene.

Anti Consumerism in the Works of Kerouac, Ginsberg, and Roth
After World War II, Americans became very concerned with keeping up with the Joneses. Everyday
people were not only interested in fulfilling the American Dream because of the optimistic post war

Ginsberg expresses a light hearted distaste of the supermarket lifestyle in his poem, A Supermarket
in California. He envisions himself wandering around the supermarket, surrounded by consumers
eyeing produce, and, among them, Walt Whitman and Garcia Lorca. He seems to be fascinated and
repulsed at the same time by the phenomenon, everyone looking and poking at the items to be
bought, and he wonders what their real motives in being there are. He imagines Whitman to be
there out of loneliness, flirting with the young stockboys, pretending, like everyone else, to be
interested in the products. Ginsberg s vision of America is of a whole population so lonely and
dispassionate that they have turned to these big bright places full of people and things to look at
just to have something to do. It is notable that Ginsberg and Whitman leave the supermarket
together, not having purchased anything at all. They have taken part in the ritual of loneliness
without buying into the need for things.

The United States Government has control over how a citizen lives, whether he realizes it or not.
To what point are laws and amendments allowed to be taken into effect? Trial and error has
consistently been used in the United States government. Depending on what issue or topic is being
argued, the government has different limitations on how far they can go to censor or control

Advertisement Is A Perfect Example Of Postmodernism...
The Dove Evolution advertisement is a perfect example of postmodernism advertising and
complements the above discussion of hyper reality. The advertisement presents the full process in
creating a billboard worthy advertisement. Firstly, the segment provides a behind the scenes look
at how the model is, essentially created , and shows the audience how the original image becomes
the final product, unlike modernist advertisements which just presents an already final and
beautiful product. Emphasis on the use of photo shop illustrates how technology has become a
tool in modern day advertising and highlights Baudrillard s (1994) view that the people of today
live in an unreal and fake world. Filming and disseminating this process allows us to live without
the illusions that modernity dangled before us (Hart pg 9) The background classical music that has
been slightly distorted illustrates Hart s (2004) belief that Postmodernismtakes what it likes from
high culture(classical music) and puts it to work in popular culture(advertising) (Pg 8, Hart, 2004),
further illustrating the idea that postmodernism involves removing things out of their contexts,
fragmenting them...and, well, playing with them (pg 8, Hart, 2004). The final cut shows the
billboard up, without showing the process of how that image came to be, reiterating Mills (1956)
argument that the public would be unable to tell that it is a hyper real image. This advertisement
exemplifies Harvey s (1990)

The Rise and Fall of Richard the Third Essay
amp;#9;Much debate and controversy surround the rise and fall of Richard the Third. It is hard
to ignore such subjects due to the bonds and hidden reasons that many of the authors of the
middle ages had towards Richard. In keeping an objective approach towards Richard III, the study
of his rise and fall will be taken in the perspective of his royal acts and administration of England.
Public sentiment over such things as the scandal surrounding the princes did have an effect over the
rule of Richard, but there are many other underlying aspects that could have extended Richards rule,
and changed the way history looksback on him.

They had news that the Woodvilles were conspiring against Gloucester in order to take control of
England immediately. While parliament anxiously awaited Gloucester s explanation for his
actions, Richard did not meet with much adversity from the people upon his arrival to London.
They felt he was doing his duty, as no one suspected him of aspiring to anything but regent.
Richard was then formally installed as Protectorate of England, but Richard realized that his power
would not last forever, possibly four to five years.
In prior years, Richard had gained much public support and accolades for his part in fighting
Scotland. He uses this support in his next step of a move for the throne. In the past there had
been rumors of Edward the IV being illegitimate, now there was evidence that Edward s son was
illegitimate as well, as Edward IV had not been legally wed to Elizabeth when they had Edward

players and asking their advice. Richard was wise for these actions. He had been known for his
prudence in the past in the war with Scotland. When Edward IV wanted a crushing blow to the
Scots, Richard realized that it would be too costly and at the same time England had already
accomplished a great feat. Richard pushed

Examples Of Allegory In Rappaccini s Daughter
Famous for creating allegories throughout his works of literature, Nathaniel Hawthorne makes no
except for Rappaccini s Daughter. The plot begins with Giovanni Guasconti traveling to Padua,
Italy in order to gain an education from the university there. He becomes a resident in a home
next to a beautiful garden owned and cared for by a Signor Giacomo Rappaccini alongside his
daughter, Beatrice. Giovanni is entranced by not only the beauty of the garden, but more
importantly the beauty of Beatrice; both of which, he later finds out, are poisonous. The two meet
in the garden everyday at about the same time. Eventually, Giovanni is informed by Signor Pietro

Baglioni saw this willingness and took advantage of it by providing Giovanni with a means of
eliminating the poison. Were it not for Rappaccini s meddling with the natural state of the
vegetation and his daughter, then perhaps Baglioni would not have been presented with the
opportunity to destroy Rappaccini s work. However, because he did mess with them, Beatrice
viewed herself as a freak of nature an outsider to the world. Thus, the moral of the story can be
stated by saying that humans should not mess with nature. This concept becomes a tad bit messy,
though, when one remembers that Rappaccini represents God. In regards to this, one must also
remember that things were going quite well until Baglioni began to interfere in Giovanni s life. In
the end, after the reader jumps the hurdle to understand the allegory behind Hawthorne s story,
Rappaccini s Daughter, the rest comes quite easily. The allegory, of course, is the story of Adam
and Eve from the Bible. Each character in Hawthorne s story have a clear parallel to a certain
character from the Biblical text: Beatrice is Eve, Giovanni is Adam, Rappaccini is God, and
Baglioni is the devil. With this understanding finally comes the moral of Hawthorne s story humans
should not play with creation and the natural order of things. Those two

A Product s Usability Achieves Effectiveness, Efficiency,...
Usability is an important concept in human factors. ISO defines usability as the extent in which a
product can be used to achieve goals with effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction in a specified
context of use. Technology should have an aspect of usability and user friendliness especially in a
clinical context, so that it can reduce cases of medical errors. An information system comprises of
various elements, among them is users who should have a clear understanding of their functions.
Usabilityas a concept increases productivity and it will reduce costs of training and support. It
reduces cases of errors as it reduces time involved when using the system (Bevan, 2009)
There are three usability themes; effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction. Effectiveness refers to
the ability of the system to do what its users require. There are different users in a clinical
environment that perform different activities with the system; hence an effective system should
have the ability to satisfy multiple users. Efficiency as a theme covers the ability of the technology
to complete the task in the intended time. Technology should be able to reduce the time used in
completing a task. Lastly, the theme of satisfaction is about the notion by users that the information
system is easy to use. For proper use of technology, users should easily associate with it. Users
should be familiar with the technology and they should have a good attitude towards it. Usability

Effect of Concentration on Osmosis
Aim
To find out how the concentration of sucrose solution affects the mass of the potato chip left in the
solution for one day.
Prediction
I predict that when the sucrose concentration is low the potato chip will gain mass. This is because
there will be a higher sucrose concentration in the potato chip so water will go into the potato from
the solution. I predict that when there is a high concentration of sucrose the potato will lose mass.
This is because there is a higher concentration of sucrose solution in the solution compared to that
in the potato chip so water from the potato will go into the solution to even it out.

Each of the solutions will be 20ml. 1mol = 20ml sucrose
0.75mol = 15ml sucrose and 5ml distilled water

Troy Turlowitzki Aka Tto Research Paper
Troy Tulowitzki aka Tulo As baseball season right around the corner some teams are in need of
offence and defense. People say the best way person to full these jobs is Troy Tulowitzki.
Experts call him the best shortstop of our time. But is he really? What is he worth? Should you
trade for him? Is Tulo really the best shortstop of our time? Let s take a close look at this
statement. In so far a ten year career, he has hit 232 doubles, 24 triples, 193 homeruns, with an
outstanding 674 runs batted in (RBIs). With an overall batting average with a pleasant .297.
Just shy of that perfect .300. Also he is a five time all star. Including 2 Gold Gloves and 2 Silver
Sluggers. Lastly Tulo as committed 74 errors in 10 years with an unassisted triple play only 8
others players have done that in this history of the MLB. Honus Wagner is the best shortstop
ever. In ten years of his career he has Wagner hit 348 doubles in his first ten years, he hit 125
triples, hit 49 home runs, Honus had 923 RBIs, with an above perfect batting average of .345
but a sad 326 errors. Wagner never saw an all star game and never won an award. Tulo is a bit
under Honus Wagner but it was a different game. When Wagner played games went 22 innings
and they always played because only 10 people were on a team. But Troy is way above Honus in
defense. Troy usually leads in fewest errors is a perennial Gold Glove winner. As you can tell Tulo

The Common Man, Nothing More Than A Phantom
Though Wall Street seems to be an enigma to the common man, nothing more than a phantom one
hears about constantly. Many view Wall Street in a negative light because they seem to be living in
an elite exclusive parallel world, where they are untouched by the economic disasters they cause. In
some way they really are living in a parallel world, in the sense that Wall Street has its own culture
that is separate from other surrounding cultures. In Biographies of Hegemony author Karen Ho
explores this sub culture especially focusing on their recruitment methodology. One of the parts of
their culture is the word smart which means something different to them. Smartness implies that
recruits standardize themselves and Investment Bankscustomize themselves in order to be
impressive to each other and because Wall Street s business relies on impressiveness.
The recruits have to tailor themselves to find into a box, model of the ideal candidate , that
Investment Banks are looking for. To be hired employers and recruiters need to ensure that they fit
into the Wall Street Lifestyle, the expensiveness, the exclusivity, and the impressiveness. Wall
Street is looking for a specific candidate, because as Ho points out, The key criterion of smartness
is to wow the clients... smartness must be represented and reinforced by a specific appearance and
bodily technique that dominantly signals that impressiveness... (Ho 167). The ideal candidate is

The Play “A Midsummer Night’S Dream” By William
Shakespeare
The play A Midsummer Night s Dream by William Shakespeare offers a wonderful contrast in
human mentality. Shakespeare provides insight into man s conflict with the rational versus
emotional characteristics of human behavior. Athens represents the logical side, with its
flourishing government and society. The fairy woods represents the wilder, irrational side where
nothing seems to follow any sort of structure. The character of Bottom the weaver is a direct
reflection of these two worlds. He brings the rational and irrational elements of the play together in
several ways. Nick Bottom is indeed one of Shakespeare s most memorable creations. He is first

Here he gives us insight into his own personality and almost seems to mock those in love. When
he says let the audience look to their eyes (1.2.20), he is directly touching on one of the themes
in the play: the use of one s eyes in love, which according to Bottom means that people do not use
their heads when in love and that it is an emotion merely based on superficialities. Whatever the
case may be, it is obvious that he is much more of a lover than a tyrant. Bottom proceeds to show
however, that one can love and be a tyrant at the same time. When he is transformed into the ass
and shares Titania s bower, it shows his marvelous adaptability to adapt immediately to whatever
life offers him. His energetic love of life, good nature and eager innocence obtains him this
entrance into the other world so different from his own. Perhaps he is not completely incapable
of feeling or understanding love. Starting from his position as a rock bottom realist, he can, with
the same vigor and joy he brings to whatever he does, respond to this power and believe. The
fantastically transformed Bottom, the least likely candidate for the position in the world before
his transformation, becomes a participator in the fairy world in the incredible role of being
Titania s lover. But we see thus that it was possible after all. He can, in sum, be both a lover and a
tyrant yet he knows that being in

Protecting Children from Television Violence Essays
Summary #1
Television violence, and media violence in general, has been a controversial topic for several
years. The argument is whether young children are brainwashed into committing violent real world
crimes because of violent and pugnacious behavior exposed in mass media. In his article No Real
Evidence for TV ViolenceCausing Real Violence , Jonathan Freedman, a professor of psychology
at the University of Toronto and author of Media Violence and Its Effect on Aggression: Assessing
the Scientific Evidence , discusses how television violence, claimed by the Federal Communications
Commission (FCC), does not cause real world aggression among adolescents. The FCC determined

Freedman argues that this concept, from the FCC, strictly bases their claim on intuition, not
scientific research. Freedman writes, Ultimately, it is the findings that matter not what people think
about them or tell you about them (Par. 8). There is not enough evidence to understand and know
the effects of media coverage of real violence, and how fictional violence affects real world
scenarios.
Evaluation #1
Television violence is not necessarily the problem with real world violence in today s society,
nor is violent video games, or explicit rap music. United States violence increased between the
1960 s to 1980 s, but has dropped dramatically, especially violent crimes committed by young
men, since 1992 (Freedman Par. 10 11). Although media violence is increasing, world violence is
decreasing; there has to be a reputable and scientific explanation on why these children are
committing violent real world crimes. There have been less than one hundred experiments
completed on this topic of choice, and possible evidence that observer bias may affect these
experiments. The FCC purposely schedule violent or provocative televisions shows during evening
hours of the night for a reason. Parents of young children, from ages seven through fourteen, should
not allow their children to watch these so called violent television shows or play these violent
video games. Certain television programs have warning labels clearly stating that, some material is

Who knows, maybe in 10 years, we could actually look into the sky and see a brighter day.
Hybrid vehicles are striking the scene in a positive way. They are becoming the choice vehicle
for many buyers. Hybrids are fashionable in both style and status. With more consumers being
focused on the ongoing problem of air pollution, it is not a surprise they are drawn to hybrid
vehicle models (Why Hybrids are the vehicles of choice these days, n.d). Hybrids are easier on
the environment as well as one s wallet. The fact that they are designed to be kind to the

car is something of mixed origin or composition by definition. A hybrid vehicle is one that
functions with the use of both gasoline engine and electric engine. The gasoline engine is smaller
than conventional vehicles, allowing the electric motor to compensate with energy. A high
voltage battery charges the electric motor when the car is parked. The hybrid vehicles can be
operated using either of the engines or both at the same time. Therefore, it uses less gas. Hybrids
also offer a quiet ride. Many people purchased hybrid cars to save money from the increasingly
high price of gasoline. As the cost of gas increases so does the demand on hybrid vehicles. Although

Ford feels that although steps have been taken to lower their health care expenses, the cost to
the company will continue to rise for the foreseeable future. Foreign car manufacturers have on
average lower health care and employee costs, giving them an advantage over Ford, GM, and
Daimler Chrysler. Ford Motor Co is hoping to take steps to offset the costs of employee benefits;
however, this could also lead to negative publicity for the company. Foreign auto makers are able
to maintain lower costs with non unionized and on average, younger employees. The next risk
factor for the auto industry is commodity and energy price increases. Steel and resin (plastic) are
the two most used commodities for auto manufacturers, and they are products in high demand for
many industries. Rising awareness of sustainability and rising demand for these products has lead
to recent price increases, and it is estimated to continue this trend. This factor targets all of the auto
industry, but again hits the big three and other auto manufacturers harder then it does some of the
foreign car manufacturers. Japanese auto makers have long been seen as efficient smaller car
manufacturers, where the big three have moved to the larger SUV type vehicle. By building
smaller vehicles, Japanese auto makers reduce their dependency and therefore their costs on steel
and resin. The second risk coming from the comparative sizes of vehicles being manufactured by
the auto makers is the cost

The Responsibility Of Organizational Effectiveness
Leadership Style The responsibility of organizational effectiveness is in the hands of the institution
s leaders. Leaders develop business strategies to maintain relevance or launch the business into the
next generation or category. An important factor of strategic success is how managers and
supervisors lead followers in a new direction. The foundation of the relationship will determine if
the employees will give total commitment to the organization s strategy or do the minimal tasking.
Organizational Effectiveness Organizations are continually evolving to meet the requests of the
stakeholders, customers, and the environment. Strategic renewal is revamping an organization s
business model, target audience, or products or services to meet the demands put on the leaders
(Spector, 2013). Therefore, the success of the company s new strategy is dependent on the leaders
capability to support the new internal processes with the external requirements (Spector, 2013).
Strategic Leadership Strategic leadership is the capability to incorporate forward thinking ideas and
concepts into a business s functions while simultaneously influencing employees to accept the new
processes (Malewska Sajdak, 2014). Consequently, leaders cannot announce a change or new
strategy and expect the staff to understand the latest expectations; it takes a more in depth, hands on
approach to make the system work. In a 1998 study, chief executive officers (CEOs) from American
businesses ranked

My Intradepartmental Teamwork Settings
During intradepartmental teamwork settings, I am very comfortable providing my opinion on
matters. These situations are the perfect moment to speak your mind and often times that is what
they are intended for. Also, I am comfortable taking up the responsibility of lead if the situation
calls for it. A few of my strengths as a lead in these settings are I have the ability to remain on task,
communicate information to my team effectively, and put forth ideas that help energize the team
forward. Conversely, some of my weaknesses include balancing communication with overbearing
actions, changing course after a decision has been made, and becoming too friendly to be effective.
Furthermore, I am uncomfortable in vertical hierarchical team meetings... Show more content on

As previously mentioned, my father has been interested in personality typing for years and
seemed like a perfect person to interview. When I relayed to him that I was an ESTJ the first
thing he said was Hitler was also an ESTJ I did not dignify his response with a google search. My
father was surprised that I was a judger and not a perceiver because he believes I am more like
your mother. Also, he thinks I am too empathetic to be a judger. Additionally, he brought up that he
is an INFP which is the exact opposite of an ESTJ. That information shocked and fascinated me.

are completely opposite. Overall, my father believed that my assessment was fairly

The Ambiguity Of The Iconic
This essay will explore the ambiguity of the Iconic, what does it stand for in the modern world of
architecture and how does it originate. The obsession of architecture with this term is slowly
taking over; architects strive towards creating Iconic buildings as a way to gain fame. How does
one design an Iconic building and what does it imply when placed within a particular context? We
will explore this through a particular architectural project of the church of San Giovanni Battista
under Florence, an icon which never really succeeded in achieving its purpose and yet contains
some of the very fundamental and curcial ideas about the Iconic which I want to express in this
essay. Why does one building (such as the Eiffel toweror London Gherkin)become symbolic for a
city while other attempt to replicate this phenomenon fail? And most importantly what role does
the context (as a city morphology or natural habitat) play... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Which can be seen protruding right underneath the tilted buttress. It is a set of concrete blocks that
suspend the bells of the church. This decision defies the original meaning of church bells. The
element seizes to act as a highlight point of a tower, that used to be the case in many churches
including Russian orthodox and Italian Catholic architecture, where the bell tower always
stoodabove the rest of the structure and the surrounding. Thus bearing symbolic and practical
value. In the church of the highway however, the bells are beneath the weight of architecture,
hidden by the concrete slabs. This furthermore reinforces Michelucci s idea of creating an icon of
speed: architecture that is not meant to become a centre of a town or unifying element of society,
but rather a glimpse of a flash. The bells are no more needed to spread the sound over long
distance, which was the case in a city, and therefore lose their original significance. Instead the bells

Iago Is An Artist Of Evil
Many have said that Iago is an artist of Evil. He made it crystal clear that he holds no love or

Immunopathogenesis of Vyloria
When a virus invades the human body there is an assortment of responses from the immune system
relying largely on the particular pathogen type. Viruses invade the host with the purpose of
replication to ensure survival. My cytosolic virus is a single stranded RNA virus. The virus is
surrounded by an envelope with a lipid membrane. Inside the envelope are matrix proteins,
integrase, protease, reverse transcriptase and the RNA genome. All viruses contain three proteins

  • 2. Dangers And Dangers Of Phobias There are many obstacles to be faced in the world we live in today. Do you realize though that many of these so called obstacles , whether they be big or small, are merely fears that have escalated in status in our subconscious? As humans most of us live a very structured, nearly robotic, day to day life. We wake up in the morning, we got to school, work, or other hobbies, then we come home, go to bed, and if we are lucky, we do it all over again the next day. Sometimes though, throughout our tedious lives we are interrupted by those pesky obstacles that I mentioned before. Interestingly enough, some of these obstacles can be describe as phobias. A phobia is an irrational and excessive fear of an object or situation. These phobias can range dramatically from simply distracting to life altering. Luckily most of us suffer from seemingly less harmful phobias that may not trigger an emotional outpour every day of our lives. Due to the unlikeliness of confrontation some people are able to live their lives avoiding phobias they might have procured. For example, a more common phobia known would be Coulrophobia, the fear of clowns. Although you may be completely terrified of clowns, you do not wake up every morning knowing you have to face one. You do however have to draw comprise whenever carnival time comes around. Even though you may completely adore the amenities of a festival you steer clear of the park to avoid any clowns, sacrificing amusement to bypass fear. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Vaccination For Children And Immune Compromised Adults Vaccines are made up of a weakened version of the bacteria or virus, or dead forms of the organism, or in other cases, an inactivated toxin that is produced by the bacteria. Upon the introduction of vaccine into the body, the immune system is manipulated into thinking that the body is under attack and produces specific antibodies as a defense mechanism. These antibodies stay in the bloodstream, protecting the body against actual infections for months, years or even a lifetime. Why are vaccines important, especially for children and immune compromised adults? Vaccination protects from serious illness and complications caused by vaccine preventable diseases. Despite many efforts and medical advances, infectious diseases like measles, mumps, and whooping cough are still a threat and often there are no cures available for these diseases. Smallpox has been eradicated due to a vaccine and many expect that other terrible infectious diseases will be eliminated in the near future. This paper will explore (1) the history of vaccination, (2) pros and cons of vaccinations, and lastly (3) the future of vaccines. Well before Dr. Edward Jenner made an impact on human disease by creating the world s first vaccine for smallpox in 1796, people in China, Africa and Turkey were practicing variolations as early as 1,000 CE. Variolation involved inhaling a powder made from smallpox scabs, much like the modern day flu mist. It evolved to a process where pus from smallpox pustules is applied to a ... I won and was further elected President by a student body who had just only met me. I have now been President for two years in a row. I am motivated by the competition and camaraderie of team sports. Outside of school I am very involved in soccer, and have been playing competitively for 7 years. Prior to that, I played recreationally since I was 3 years old. In elementary school I experimented with other sports, but my love for soccer was invulnerable so I stuck with it. I have been captain of four teams, I am very proud of my leadership position on the field. Besides sports I love music. I sing in my school chorus as a leading alto and have been for 3 years. Besides chorus class, I have never had formal training, but I would enjoy the opportunity for such training if it was afforded to me. While singing is an art, it also is a form of expression. The original term for the customs of the Prophet was Sunnat Al Nabi , which is an exact translation of customs of the Prophet in the native tongue of the Prophet s time, which was Arabic (textbook). While the entire genre of Islamic literature that surrounds the Prophet Muhammad is called Sunnat Al Nabi, the individual reports that outline the personal and private life of the Prophet are called Hadith. The Hadith is an official collection of the sayings and actions of the last and final Prophet of Islam throughout the 22 years of his prophetic ministry (Dustin). The Hadith is arguably one of the most important practical text for modern Muslims, as the many books on Hadith outline the life of the man that Muslims around the world have been told to emulate. Muslims have been instructed to practice the behaviour of the Prophet as his behaviour is considered a guideline on the perfect way for a Muslim to live. The Hadith outlines all relationships between a Muslim and God, as well as discussing how relationships between humans should be conducted. The Hadith outlines every affair possible, and how the Prophet acted in this affair, and Muslims should aspire to model this way of life (Encyclopedia J). Ginsberg expresses a light hearted distaste of the supermarket lifestyle in his poem, A Supermarket in California. He envisions himself wandering around the supermarket, surrounded by consumers eyeing produce, and, among them, Walt Whitman and Garcia Lorca. The Dove Evolution advertisement is a perfect example of postmodernism advertising and complements the above discussion of hyper reality. The advertisement presents the full process in creating a billboard worthy advertisement. Firstly, the segment provides a behind the scenes look at how the model is, essentially created , and shows the audience how the original image becomes the final product, unlike modernist advertisements which just presents an already final and beautiful product. Emphasis on the use of photo shop illustrates how technology has become a tool in modern day advertising and highlights Baudrillard s (1994) view that the people of today live in an unreal and fake world. Filming and disseminating this process allows us to live without the illusions that modernity dangled before us (Hart pg 9) The background classical music that has been slightly distorted illustrates Hart s (2004) belief that Postmodernismtakes what it likes from high culture(classical music) and puts it to work in popular culture(advertising) (Pg 8, Hart, 2004), further illustrating the idea that postmodernism involves removing things out of their contexts, fragmenting them...and, well, playing with them (pg 8, Hart, 2004). Usabilityas a concept increases productivity and it will reduce costs of training and support. It reduces cases of errors as it reduces time involved when using the system (Bevan, 2009) There are three usability themes; effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction. Effectiveness refers to the ability of the system to do what its users require. There are different users in a clinical environment that perform different activities with the system; hence an effective system should have the ability to satisfy multiple users. Efficiency as a theme covers the ability of the technology to complete the task in the intended time. Technology should be able to reduce the time used in completing a task. Lastly, the theme of satisfaction is about the notion by users that the information system is easy to use. For proper use of technology, users should easily associate with it. Essay about Effect of Concentration on Osmosis Effect of Concentration on Osmosis Aim To find out how the concentration of sucrose solution affects the mass of the potato chip left in the solution for one day. Prediction I predict that when the sucrose concentration is low the potato chip will gain mass. This is because there will be a higher sucrose concentration in the potato chip so water will go into the potato from the solution. I predict that when there is a high concentration of sucrose the potato will lose mass. In so far a ten year career, he has hit 232 doubles, 24 triples, 193 homeruns, with an outstanding 674 runs batted in (RBIs). With an overall batting average with a pleasant .297. Just shy of that perfect .300. Also he is a five time all star. Including 2 Gold Gloves and 2 Silver Sluggers. Lastly Tulo as committed 74 errors in 10 years with an unassisted triple play only 8 others players have done that in this history of the MLB. Honus Wagner is the best shortstop ever. Wagner never saw an all star game and never won an award. Tulo is a bit under Honus Wagner but it was a different game. When Wagner played games went 22 innings and they always played because only 10 people were on a team. But Troy is way above Honus in defense. Many view Wall Street in a negative light because they seem to be living in an elite exclusive parallel world, where they are untouched by the economic disasters they cause. In some way they really are living in a parallel world, in the sense that Wall Street has its own culture that is separate from other surrounding cultures. Shakespeare provides insight into man s conflict with the rational versus emotional characteristics of human behavior. Athens represents the logical side, with its flourishing government and society. The fairy woods represents the wilder, irrational side where nothing seems to follow any sort of structure. The character of Bottom the weaver is a direct reflection of these two worlds. He brings the rational and irrational elements of the play together in several ways. Nick Bottom is indeed one of Shakespeare s most memorable creations. Here he gives us insight into his own personality and almost seems to mock those in love. When he says let the audience look to their eyes (1.2.20), he is directly touching on one of the themes in the play: the use of one s eyes in love, which according to Bottom means that people do not use their heads when in love and that it is an emotion merely based on superficialities. Whatever the case may be, it is obvious that he is much more of a lover than a tyrant. Bottom proceeds to show however, that one can love and be a tyrant at the same time. When he is transformed into the ass and shares Titania s bower, it shows his marvelous adaptability to adapt immediately to whatever life offers him. His energetic love of life, good nature and eager innocence obtains him this entrance into the other world so different from his own. Perhaps he is not completely incapable of feeling or understanding love. Starting from his position as a rock bottom realist, he can, with the same vigor and joy he brings to whatever he does, respond to this power and believe. The fantastically transformed Bottom, the least likely candidate for the position in the world before his transformation, becomes a participator in the fairy world in the incredible role of being Titania s lover. Freedman argues that this concept, from the FCC, strictly bases their claim on intuition, not scientific research. Freedman writes, Ultimately, it is the findings that matter not what people think about them or tell you about them (Par. 8). There is not enough evidence to understand and know the effects of media coverage of real violence, and how fictional violence affects real world scenarios. Evaluation #1 Television violence is not necessarily the problem with real world violence in today s society, nor is violent video games, or explicit rap music. United States violence increased between the 1960 s to 1980 s, but has dropped dramatically, especially violent crimes committed by young men, since 1992 (Freedman Par. 10 11). Although media violence is increasing, world violence is decreasing; there has to be a reputable and scientific explanation on why these children are committing violent real world crimes. There have been less than one hundred experiments completed on this topic of choice, and possible evidence that observer bias may affect these experiments. The FCC purposely schedule violent or provocative televisions shows during evening hours of the night for a reason. • 44. The Responsibility Of Organizational Effectiveness Leadership Style The responsibility of organizational effectiveness is in the hands of the institution s leaders. Leaders develop business strategies to maintain relevance or launch the business into the next generation or category. An important factor of strategic success is how managers and supervisors lead followers in a new direction. The foundation of the relationship will determine if the employees will give total commitment to the organization s strategy or do the minimal tasking. Organizational Effectiveness Organizations are continually evolving to meet the requests of the stakeholders, customers, and the environment. Strategic renewal is revamping an organization s business model, target audience, or products or services to meet the demands put on the leaders (Spector, 2013). Therefore, the success of the company s new strategy is dependent on the leaders capability to support the new internal processes with the external requirements (Spector, 2013). Strategic Leadership Strategic leadership is the capability to incorporate forward thinking ideas and concepts into a business s functions while simultaneously influencing employees to accept the new processes (Malewska Sajdak, 2014). Consequently, leaders cannot announce a change or new strategy and expect the staff to understand the latest expectations; it takes a more in depth, hands on approach to make the system work.
